He walked to the the driver’s seat and slid in too.
” Ready ma’am? ” He asked playfully and Ava nodded.
” Aye aye ” She answered and both of them bursted into laughter.
He started the ignition and the car zoomed off. Ava clapped her eyes gleefully as the car sped up.

The day started innocently for Alex until the news arrived, striking panic within. Ava had met Hunter, the friend she shouldn’t have trusted. He had strictly warned her to be wary of him. Alex started to panic. What on earth was Ava thinking when she went to the damn lunch date?? Shortly after, he got a call from Angel, the master planner of the whole scheme.
The woman was so obsessed with him that she made it clear that if she couldn’t have him, no one else would. Apparently, she had sent Hunter through Collins to kidnap Ava.
” I told you I always win, didn’t I? There’s no word like defeat in my dictionary ” Her voice dripped with malicious glee as she detailed her scheme.
Alex felt a surge of helplessness, countered only by an overwhelming need to save Ava. But he wouldn’t let the b*tch witness his weakness.
” You’ll pay for this, Angel ” He swore and he meant every word. He was going to make her pay for what intended on doing to his woman.
Yes, his woman, he declared silently.
Angel laughed so hard Alex, for a minute, wondered if tears had started to slip down her eyelids.
” We shall see, baby ” She mocked and didn’t wait for him to answer before she hung up.
Summoning Black, Alex dashed into action and informed him of the new course of events. The urgency was palpable as they navigated through the city’s labyrinth, every passing second a heartbeat closer to danger.
Their arrival at the rendezvous was fraught with tension. Alex’s heart raced with fear for Ava’s safety.
Determination flickered in Alex’s eyes as he confronted the antagonists. Hunter’s twisted pleasure at seeing Alex’s distress fueled his rage, propelling him forward.
With Black’s strategic assistance, they waged a battle against time. Each move was a step closer to Ava’s salvation. The conflict surged, a chaotic ballet of wills and wits.
In the climactic moments, Alex’s resolve surged. He outmaneuvered Hunter’s cunning, but the danger lingered as Hunter closed in on Ava.
He could see Hunter, a silhouette against the fading daylight, shuffling Ava into a waiting vehicle. With a surge of adrenaline, Alex sprinted towards them, Black hot on his heels.
” Stop! ” Alex’s voice boomed, echoing through the alleyway. Hunter turned, a smug grin etched on his face, confirming the sinister intentions Alex had feared.
” We have to get her out of there, now! ” Alex’s voice was strained with urgency as he and Black charged towards the vehicle. Hunter’s malicious grin widened; he seemed to revel in Alex’s desperation.
As they closed the gap, sudden gunfire pierced the air. Bullets ricocheted off nearby walls, forcing them to seek cover. Amidst the chaos, Angel’s mocking laughter echoed from a nearby rooftop, revealing her unseen vantage point.
Determination hardened Alex’s resolve. With Black providing cover, they made a strategic push towards the vehicle. As they approached, Hunter maneuvered Ava to the other side, shielded from their reach.
” Get down! ” Black yelled, pulling Alex out of the line of fire as more shots rang out. The danger was escalating, Angel’s machinations reaching a crescendo.
Through the haze of adrenaline, Alex spotted a diversion – a nearby fire escape. Without hesitation, he signaled Black, and they sprinted towards it, seeking a vantage point to counter Angel’s attacks.
Climbing swiftly, Alex’s mind raced with plans to outwit Angel’s snipers. At the top, he found himself face – to – face with Angel, her eyes gleaming with malice.
” So, Alex, are you enjoying the show? ” Angel’s voice dripped with disdain as she gestured towards the chaos below.
” You’re sick, Angel! Let Ava go! ” Alex’s words were laced with anger, his fists clenched in frustration.
Angel chuckled darkly, ” Oh, but Alex, you know it’s not that simple. She’s part of my plan, just like you are ”
Without warning, Angel lunged at Alex, their struggle intensifying on the rooftop. Meanwhile, Black, positioned strategically, assessed the situation, preparing to cover Alex’s escape with Ava.
In a swift move, Alex managed to disarm Angel, but the standoff was brief. Angel’s cunning was matched only by her unpredictability. With a desperate push, Alex managed to disengage and make a daring leap onto the adjacent building, leaving Angel seething with fury.
Back on the ground, Black, with his tactical precision, created a diversion allowing Ava to break free from Hunter’s grasp. With a surge of hope, Ava dashed towards Alex’s direction, dodging obstacles in her path.
Without a second thought, he dashed through the traffic, determined to reach her.
As Alex approached, Ava’s eyes widened in terror. In that split second, a screeching sound pierced the air, followed by the sickening crunch of metal against metal. A speeding car, oblivious to the commotion, careened towards Ava.
Without hesitation, Alex lunged forward, pushing Ava out of harm’s way, taking the full impact of the oncoming vehicle. The world blurred as his body collided with the car, sending him flying across the pavement.
Ava’s scream echoed through the chaos as bystanders rushed to the scene. Alex lay motionless, blood pooling around him, his vision fading into darkness.

Ava sat by his bedside, her eyes red from tears shed in worry and gratitude. The guilt of Alex’s sacrifice weighed heavily on her heart, the memory of his selflessness haunting her.
Doctors spoke in hushed tones, discussing the severity of Alex’s injuries. Broken bones, internal bleeding, and a concussion were among the litany of injuries sustained in the accident.
Days turned into a blur of pain and uncertainty. Alex drifted in and out of consciousness, his mind clouded by painkillers and the lingering effects of the accident.
