He nodded and placed a light kiss on her forehead before he straightened up ” Have a good night rest ” He said and walked away.
Ava watched him leave with sleepy eyes and turned to her side of the bed. She didn’t get the chance to replay what happened in her head because sleep consumed her and she slept, feeling satisfied and fulfilled.

” Come in ” Alex said absentmindedly in reply to the knock on the door. A few moments later, it opened and Emily walked in. Alex acknowledged her presence with a nod while Emily greeted him properly.
” A good afternoon to you sir ” She said politely and handed him some files.
” You have a business lunch with Mr Woods in an hour’s time. Should I go prepare? ” She asked.
Alex nodded again, his eyes still fixed on his computer. He didn’t even look through the documents his secretary brought, at least not yet.
” Alright sir ” She said and proceeded to leave.
