Book:Daze's Obsession ( ENGLISH VERSION ) Published:2024-5-1

My stomach is now five months. And since that night that I throw Enrique’s food we did not talk at all. As if I care. Even if we don’t talk to each other for the rest of our lives, I won’t die. I will see just how far his ego will take him. The one who used to chase him avoided him. Haha.
It’s just that the assistant often asks me questions that I sometimes answer but often don’t. Because first, I know Enrique just ordered him and second I don’t care about all of them.
The gay is still not coming home. Dimwit! Damn, he enjoyed celibacy too much wherever the hell he was right now. I think the devil fuck him in the ass so he doesn’t want to go home. After leaving me in the air, the animal completely abandoned me.
I still go out without anyone. Especially when doing prenatal —-alone of course, because I can still drive. Doc Keisha sometimes gossips and asks where is Enrique, so I often answer that he is out of town. Safe answer, of course.
I also visited my parents without Enrique. They also visit me and ask how I’m doing here but I just say that it’s ok. They don’t ask about our situation and what our status is so I don’t tell stories either. Also, I don’t intend to say anything because I know the answer is just ok. I’m also not sure if they already know that Enrique is really the father of the baby or if they are still clueless.
My prenatal schedule is tomorrow, will also know what gender is.
Celestine suggested that we do a gender reveal. They say it’s just family and friends. Then only she knows and will reveal. But I insisted that I don’t want such drama. Gender reveal, for what? Likewise, I will also know the gender of my child. She will make us both tired of her nonsense. Dimwit!
“What are you doing here? It’s late.” Miraculously, my handsome husband spoke to me. In fairness to him, he talks to me sometimes when we meet or when he has no choice because he wants to ask something.
“I am not yet sleepy.” I’m here outside the mansion. Sitting on the stairs drinking coffee and looking at the stars. I would like to count them to make me sleepy because counting is tiring. It’s like counting the years—how many years I chased Enrique.
“How can you be sleepy drinking coffee? And you should stop drinking coffee.”
“It’s decaf.”
“Even though.”
“Okay.” Ok is like saying bye. Instead of arguing and the conversation will be long, just answer that it’s ok to end the conversation.
“When is your next check-up?”
“Why?”
“I’ll go with you.”
“Why?”
“It’s because I want to.”
“Why?”
“See, Daze—”
“Okay,” I answered and sip a coffee. Oh, isn’t it effective because he didn’t finish what he was going to say? It’s just like that if you don’t like the person you’re talking to.
“What?” There was a bit of annoyance in his voice.
“My answer is ok right away because I know you will say—-that this is your nephew or niece, and you want to make sure he is ok inside until he comes out.”
“My child, just train your mouth now and maybe someone will hear you.”
“Okay, again. You said so.” Why should I train myself? It’s really his child. He should practice because he knows nothing.
“So when?”
“Not sure. I forgot when.”
“What?”
“I said I forgot.”
“What the—. Where is your hospital card?”
“I don’t even remember where I put it.”
“Are you playing me, Dandelion?”
“No.”
“Then how did you know your schedule if you lost your card and you forgot the date.”
“Probably an alarm. A day after the schedule and five hours before, I was already on the alarm.” He didn’t answer so I didn’t speak anymore.
“Can you check your calendar, when?” Later I heard him say.
“Tomorrow, at 10 A. M.” Then I stood up. I looked at him and smiled as he looked at me evilly. I stood in front of him with a frown.
“Honestly, Enrique, I really don’t want to be with you. But it looks like you really want to come because you will not stop bothering me.”
He glares at me while clenching his jaw. Looked like he was going to swallow me whole.
“Why, Enrique? Are you angry because I avoided you and don’t want to be with you? Are you angry, because I fight with you? Are you angry because I don’t pay attention to you like I used to?”
“Why would I? I am happy.”
“Then why are you the one pushing me? Why do you know my way and my deeds? Why are you asking the assistants what’s going on with me? Shouldn’t you care as much as I don’t care about you anymore?”
“I’m not pushing you. I am concerned because I am your husband and you are the mother of my child. I have you under my care ”
“Well, wow. Yes, of course. You said so.”
“What’s wrong with you?” He stood up to face me.
“Ask yourself what is wrong with me. Because I think I should have asked that. What is wrong with you?”
“Can’t I be concerned for you and your child? Can’t be nice to you?”
“No. Because it sounds so fake. It’s obvious that you’re forced into what you’re doing. Duh!”
“You are wrong—–”
But I left him alone without letting him finish. He will ask me what’s wrong with me. What’s wrong with him and why is he being nice to me? Duh! Dimwit!
“Dandelion!” He calls me but I ignore him. “Daze!”
“Even if you put Dy-Locsin on it, I still won’t go back there to talk to you. Good night and sweet dreams to you.”
Honestly, I don’t know what’s happening to me. I know I still love him and I am. Now that it has really synced up with me that we are married, I thought it would be a great feeling to be able to write the last name of your loved one after your first name. That you are married to the man you love and have dreamed of for a long time.
I used to be angry because it looked like I had conceived him. That’s why I’m so mad at him and it makes me cringe to see his face. But now that my conception has subsided, I am thrilled with his concerns. But of course, I will stand by it because he hasn’t changed.
I know that he is only doing this because of the baby. He still makes me feel that even though I’m his wife, he still can’t love me. That he still treats me the same as it was. So I will stand up to annoy him until I feel that his concern is really for me and is not forced. Even not as his wife or as his beloved, even as a me—a woman who should be respected even if I didn’t do anything good to him.
Damn him! Dimwit!
THE NEXT DAY I woke up early and got ready. I plan to leave early so that Enrique won’t see me and maybe he will come with me. I will just call a taxi or I can drive. My stomach is only five months old and I can still drive.
“Annoying.” I throw the dress I took from the closet. Almost everything I have doesn’t fit me anymore and if anything, it’s too fit around the stomach.
When was the last time I bought a dress? The last time I remember is before the wedding because after the wedding I was stocked here at the mansion and if I was able to go out it was for pre-natal and visits to the mansion.
I had no choice so I also took the clothes to wear. I’ll just go shopping later. I have to leave right away while it’s still early so that Enrique doesn’t catch up with me. Maybe he’s still sleeping now because he doesn’t have work.
I didn’t fix my face that much. I only did a little make-up and a little tidying up. I only brought a pouch to hold my phone and cards. When I went out the door, I was surprised to see Enrique sitting on the couch. His reading a newspaper with coffee on the small table. He’s wearing a white polo shirt and jeans shorts with rubber shoes.
“Are you ready?” he asked. Will I be thrilled? It seemed like yes, but because I said I would stand by my curse, I raised an eyebrow at him.
“What are you doing?”
“I asked you last night about the pre-natal and you said today. I made it early because you might suddenly disappear later.”
He put down the newspaper and then stood up.
“Why are you coming?”
“Why not? I’m the father, remember?”
“Just go to sleep, I can do it alone even if my baby doesn’t have a father.”
“Let’s go, I don’t want to wait anymore.” I have no choice because he walked first so I followed.
He even opened the car door for me. He also supported me to ride. When he made sure that I sat properly, he fastened my seatbelt before closing the door.
When the door closed, I shivered and gasped as he turned around to get into the driver’s seat. I held my stomach because it looked like my baby was also excited. But when Enrique gets inside—of course, I’m back to being furious. It’s hard and his head might grow.
I didn’t tell him which hospital we were going to. But it looks like he already knows because he has already driven. After all, there is no private hospital here where we barely know the staff except for Happy Smile owned by Asher Miller.
When we got to the hospital, he took me to the entrance first.
“Wait for me inside and I will park the car. So that you don’t get tired of walking.”
“Okay.” When I got off, I saw the car turning to the parking lot. But if he thought I would wait for him? He will take care of his life. He just followed. He’s smart enough to find out where pregnant women are taking prenatal.
That’s just revenge. haha, You chase me now. I am beautiful. Dimwit!
