Book:Daze's Obsession ( ENGLISH VERSION ) Published:2024-5-1

“Hi, Kuya!” Ervic greeted his brother when we entered the mansion. Enrique was sitting in the living room with the big tv on with nothing but horses. It’s like he’s watching documentaries about horses.
Enrique just nodded at him so we sat down on the opposite sofa.
“How is your walk?” he asked without taking his eyes off the tv. We just got a gown made to be measured and decided to come here.
“It’s ok, Daze has already measured her dress. Almost done everything except the invitation. Because Dylan told us he will take care of that because he knows someone who will. Daze, already chose the design so no problem. She will just give us the sample one week before the wedding.”
“Good.” His only answer.
“Have you checked yours, brother?” he asked.
“I did.”
“Ah!” Then Ervic looked at me. “You need something, Daze?”
“Can you massage my feet? My foot hurt because I was standing when I checked my dress.” I said.
“Is that so?”
“Pregnant women’s feet hurt quickly.” Not sure if my answer is correct. Because the truth is I wanted to annoy Enrique.
“How can your feet not hurt? You’re still wearing heels,” Enrique said but still did not look at us.
“Yes, Daze. You should not wear high heels and maybe you’ll fall down,” Ervic seconded.
“I can handle it, even if I dance in heels, I can still handle it.”
“Hard-headed.” I heard Enrique say.
“Shhh!” My only answer then looked at Ervic. “Alright, babe, massage me now.”
I heard him scoff then stood up. He kneels in front of me and then takes my foot. One of his knees was kneeling while the other was bent and my foot was placed there.
“Where does it hurt?” he asked.
“Here.” He slightly massaged my feet and I closed my eyes but immediately opened them.
“You’re hands feel great on my legs, babe.” He glares at me but I just laughed. “Can you press it more?” I requested.
“Not advisable.” Instead of Ervic answering, Enrique answered. “You can’t apply more pressure on pregnant, It can lead to miscarriage.”
“You’re right. You’re pressuring me.” He looked at me and I just raised an eyebrow and then he looked at Ervic.
“She’s in her first trimester, you might accidentally hurt her and make her tense. Better be safe than sorry.”
“Noted brother.”
“Just caress it. Rub it.” Ervic looked at me but I just smiled. “Hmph, you’re really good at pressing,” I said while laughing.
“Daze.” He scolded softly. Although he doesn’t really do anything to my feet.
“Above, babe. Caress up to the thigh.”
“Daze.” This time his scolding got stronger.
“Why, you’ve touched that too. You also see what’s between my legs that’s why the baby was formed. So what’s the issue?”
“Erm!” Enrique clears his throat but his eyes were on the TV.
“Ah, don’t pay attention to your brother. He will get used to us especially when we get married because this is where I will live. Then he’s used to being rude to me, because didn’t I flirt with him before?” Enrique quickly turned to me but I just smiled. “What? It’s true, isn’t it?” But he did not answer.
“Daze.”
“Yes, babe?” I returned my attention to Ervic.
“Are you hungry?”
“Slight, I want to eat toasted bread with peanut butter.”
“Ok, I’ll do it. Do you want to join me?”
“Can I just stay here? My feet hurt.”
“You’re only going to tease my brother,” he whispered but I only gave him a smile. He removed my foot and then stood up and looked at his brother.
“You, brother, do you want a snack?”
“No, thanks.” Ervic left so only Enrique and I were left. He doesn’t speak and he just focuses on what he’s watching.
“How does it feel that the woman who used to chase you will become your soon-to-be sister-in-law?” I didn’t hear any answer. “Aren’t you sad that no one is chasing you?”
“A big relief, finally, I can breathe.”
“You’re not sure, soon, I will live here with you, every day means you can see me, we will eat together, and can be seen in any corner of your house.”
“I can avoid you.” But his eyes remain on the screen.
“Until when? I’m here forever because I have no plans to divorce your brother. I will be Mrs. Ervic Locsin, for the rest of my life.”
“Not a big deal either.”
” I’ll just be Locsin and live here in your mansion with you.”
“I don’t mind seeing you around here and being my brother’s wife. It’s better to be with you in the same mansion rather than to be with you in one room and be your husband.”
“Wow, you’re losing to me, you already have seen my pussy.”
“For fuck sake, mind your words.”
“Why is it true?”
“Even though you’re a woman, you’re still proud that someone else came before you and you’re going to marry someone else.”
“So? Big deal? We are in the modern generation, polygamy is the trend in other countries, are you still counting your body? Then it’s not my fault that someone else left me and someone else will marry me. It’s not a sin to trust and love, the guilty are your abusers.”
“Are you saying that I abuse you?”
“Defensively, I didn’t say anything, you reacted. I’m referring to everyone who makes body counts a big deal.”
“You as a woman should be the one who takes care of yourself. It’s your duty and responsibility not to make your body look cheap.”
“We can take care of ourselves, it just happens that there are men who are giving us fools hope and good at flattering. Sometimes the cheap product is more durable than the branded one because the branded name is the only thing you pay for, not the quality.”
He just shook his head at what I said.
Why is it true? Body counting is too generalized not knowing what a woman went through to make her the way she is.
I agree with what he said that a woman should take care of her body. If you can keep your virginity until you get married—why not? Congratulations to you and to your partner.
But what about those women who are victims of abuse? A rape victim in other words. So it’s their fault? Those young kids who are naive and don’t even know what is happening to them, is it still their fault?
I will hit him on the head with a pipe.
His phone rang and he answered it.
“Yes, Hailey?” TSS, it’s his first love who had seven children who called. “Yeah—-ah, maybe next week. Sure, sure—-Be careful.” When he ended the call, I interrupted again.
“Do you still trust your princess with seven children?”
“None of your business.”
“You know even if brother Phoenix dies, your princess will not come with you. Looks like back then, she would rather finger her pussy rather than replace brother Phoenix in his heart. So I am sure that you will be single forever because you will live without hope for her.”
“I don’t mind, as long as I can see my princess, as long as she’s with me and we can talk, no problem with that.”
“Martyr.” But he smirked.
“And for your info. She asked me to wait for her when she files an annulment with Phoenix.”
“And you hope?” But he did not answer. “As if, it was possible to lose brother Phoenix, and if they were separated do you think she would love you? Nah, we women when we truly love do not immediately disappear from our hearts. So even if you stay together, she will still love brother Phoenix and not you.”
“What is your problem?”
“Nothing, it’s boring so I need someone to talk to.”
“Then follow Ervic to the kitchen.”
“Why, I want to talk to you.”
“We don’t have a proper convo. You keep annoying me.”
“Exactly, I love to tease you, especially when I mention that you have no hope for your princess.” He put down the remote and then looked at me.
“Listen, Dandelion. You’re going to live here. As long as I can I want us to be ok. I don’t want us to always argue in front of Ervic, in front of the maids, and soon in front of my nephew. So please, can we be civil? Or if we can’t have a sensible conversation, it’s better not to talk at all.”
“I do not want.”
“What?”
“After you hurt me and rejected me, you want us to be ok? Nah, I don’t care if we always argue. If before my goal was to get you so I was nice to you, now my goal is to be satisfied for life. And I can get my satisfaction once I annoy you.”
“What the—-”
He had not finished what he was going to say when Ervic arrived.
