“Morales… Morales!”
Drew woke up as someone kept tapping his shoulder. Rubbing his eyes, she was surprised to see the wrinkled face of their school librarian as she tried to wake him up.
“Are you not attending your classes? The bell has already rung!” with an eyebrow raised and cracked red lips sharply pointed, she scolded him.
Drew looked at his watch. It was already 1 PM sharp. He looked at where Lemon was sitting earlier. To his dismay, she wasn’t there anymore. She didn’t even bother waking him up.
He sat on the floor next to the last row of shelves, trying to watch over Lemon. Drew was aware that she’s been avoiding him since the incident at the bar.
Despite that, he still can’t leave her alone. The area where she fell asleep was a bit dark. That’s why Drew was worried about her.
Before the said incident, she would still talk to him even if he was a bit snobbish to Lemon. But now, she won’t even try.
Lemon would only talk to him if she needed to ask about the band’s playlist. Other than that, she’d just ignore him.
And if destiny wants to be more playful, the same incident should happen again. Not just once but several more times.
As far as Drew knows, she saw him bring a girl to the studio. According to Lyra, Lemon was the only one who went there that day, and she went upstairs. So he’s sure she saw them.
‘Don’t get me wrong, okay? Nothing happened between that random girl and me. Although I slept topless that night, I made certain I won’t get molested.’
He promised himself he wouldn’t let her see the same scenes. Unfortunately, it happened again. What’s worse is that she saw him kissing someone at the library.
Drew went to the restroom to fix himself before heading to their classroom. Lemon was already there. She was sitting next to Kevz, so he tried to get her attention.
“Do we have practice later?” He asked Kevz, although he knew they didn’t have any schedule. He even spoke louder than usual.
Kevz shook his head, but Lemon didn’t even glance at him. Drew doesn’t know what’s on her nails. She would look at them instead of him. Dejected, he just went to his seat.
After their last class, Lemon walked out of their classroom without waiting for anyone. Without even looking back. She didn’t stop even if Homme and Kellen were calling for her.
“What happened?” Drew asked his bandmates, and they all turned to him, amused that he didn’t know anything.
“You don’t know? Weren’t you with her earlier?” Kale asked, and the creases on their forehead deepened.
‘Quick, Drew, come up with an excuse!’
“I’m with her? Where?” he asked. He was pretending to be innocent was the better term.
“At the library!” Kellen chimed, then he creased my forehead at them.
“What do you mean? I didn’t see her there,” denying it quickly before turning to Kevz. “What happened?” he asked again.
“Please, Drew! Stay with us next time to get updated.” Then Kevz handed him the phone. He played the video that was on display. It was Rawbin and Tanya kissing each other in the locker room.
Drew watched the video twice, pretending to be interested. In reality, he’s already seen it, and he knows there’s something wrong with it.
“And?” He asked as he gave back Kevz’s phone.
“And Lemon’s mad. She won’t talk to Rawbin,” Kale answered.
“And?” He asked again until Kevz cursed at him.
“One more ‘and’ and I’ll end your life!” Roj spat.
“I just don’t get it. Why didn’t you tell Lemon the video was fake? That it was premeditated?” looking at them one by one, it seemed like they were unaware someone must have taken that video intentionally and spread it on their campus to cause trouble between the couple.
All of them almost dropped their jaws in confusion. Staring at Drew like he was the biggest idiot. He snapped her fingers to get them back to their senses.
“What do you mean fake?” Kip asked.
“When was that taken?” He asked.
“Yesterday,” said Homme.
“But how is it fake?” Roj interrupted.
“It’s fake, no further explanation, it’s just fake,” then he turned on his heel.
Drew went straight to the security office. He had to get a copy of the original video, and it won’t be a problem. He just needed to use his my-father-is-the-godfather-of-the-security-head card.
“Hi, Leo!” He greeted him when he got to the security office.
“Hi, Drew! What brought you here? Do you need me to delete something?” he asked, teasing.
Not all students at SMU are aware of the CCTVs on campus. But Drew memorized the location of each one of them, so he knows where you can go nasty and where you have to behave.
“Nope, but I’m here to ask for a small favor,” he then shot his brows up. “Can we watch the footage from the gym’s locker room yesterday? And if possible, I’d like to ask for a copy too.”
He quickly rummages through the CDs for the specific recording. He then played it on his monitor, and they found what Drew was trying to find.
In the original video, they saw how Tanya pulled Rawbin, pushed him to the wall, and kissed him. Rawbin also pushed her away.
From the video circulating on the campus, their movements were in slow motion. The part where Rawbin pushed her away got deleted.
The angle from which the video got taken was suspicious too. It was by someone, a friend of Tanya perhaps, or another student who wants to cause an uproar at SMU.
Leo gave him a copy of the recording, and he sent it to Drew’s phone. He then forwarded the video to Kevz via email. Of course, he sent it anonymously.
“Thanks, Leo!” clapping his back, he went out of the office and straight to the cafeteria to buy food. He was walking toward the parking lot when his phone beeped. He got a message from Kevz.
‘Drop by the studio. We’re all here.’
They don’t have practice today, and if they’re at the studio, it’s because of the couple’s issue. Drew wants to be there to be updated.
