The band’s been busy practicing for the upcoming Foundation Day. They only have two weeks and they still need to perfect three songs.
The Foundation Day celebration will also mark Lemon and Rawbin’s 1st month with the band. As they hung out together during practices, they grew closer to each other.
She’s still closer to Kip and Kevz, but Rawbin believes that he’s the third person she’s closest with. Homme and Roj were comfortable with her too, but Drew remained distant.
As days passed, Rawbin felt like his feelings for Lemon were getting deeper. As he got to know her, his feelings grew at the same time.
She was shy and quiet most of the time. But once you start a conversation with her, you’ll realize how smart and outspoken she is.
She’s not like other shy people who tend to keep everything bottled up because they’re ashamed of speaking up. She’d say what she wants when the situation calls for it.
She’s too independent but you’ll still see the side of her that needs caring. And Rawbin’s starting to love that side of her.
“Good morning Lemon!” Rawbin greeted. It’s a Saturday morning and just like any other Saturday, they’re at the studio to practice.
“Good morning!” she greeted, with a broad smile on her face.
“They’re not here yet?”
“Kale and Kellen are upstairs, as usual. Kip and Homme are preparing the grill for later. Kevz and the rest, no idea where they are.”
“Have you eaten breakfast?”
“Yep, before we came here,” she answered, wearing the smile anyone would pay for just to see.
“Here,” handing over her favorite iced hazelnut latte.
“Yay!” she exclaimed and her eyes twinkled. “You’re spoiling me with my favorite brew!”
“Just trying to brighten your day!”
Lemon and Rawbin’s conversation went on until they started practicing their duet. It’s almost perfect but they still don’t want to risk it. Almost isn’t enough for both of them.
“By the way, do you have any plans for tomorrow?” Rawbin mustered the courage to ask.
She paused for a bit, pursed her lips while thinking then shook her head. “Why?”
“Can we attend a mass together?”
“Sure, we usually attend every Sunday,” she replied.
Obviously, she didn’t get what Rawbin was trying to say, so he had to reiterate. “Ah Lemon, what I mean is, just the two of us?” ‘Thank God I didn’t stutter.’
Lemon looked at him with her brows creased. “Are you sure?” and so he nodded. The thought of being turned down was unnerving but what she said made Rawbin’s heart leap. “Sure!”
They started conversing again then they jammed on the music on Lemon’s phone. He’s really having the time of his life whenever he’s with her. Her aura was just so refreshing.
After almost an hour of just sitting there and singing, Drew, Roj, and Kevz arrived.
“What took you so long?” Homme asked the trio.
“Sorry, heavy traffic,” Kevz answered casually.
“Yeah right. You got stuck in traffic again, traffic of Drew’s girls,” Kip stated.
After their short banter, Kip started calling everyone to prepare for their practice. More on Rawbin’s practice because he still got two solos he has to perfect.
While setting up their instruments, Lemon moved from the floor to the couch. She looked like she was going to watch.
“Ready?” Kip asked and Rawbin nodded with full confidence.
The practice lasted for an hour and a half. It was only interrupted when Lyra called them for lunch. They’re having a barbecue so they’re all in the backyard.
“Lem, Aunt Tori called,” Kale informed her.
“What did she say?”
“They need you to model a dress for the entourage.”
“Ugh, not again,” stomping her foot, Lemon scowled at her friend before turning to her cousin. “Kip, can we push back my practice to later this afternoon?” and the guy nodded.
Lemon, on the other hand, hurried to finish her food. Then she left for her mom’s shop after bidding everyone goodbye.
When everyone was done eating, they rested for thirty or so minutes before resuming practice. They’re on their third try when Rawbin’s voice cracked.
“What is wrong, Rawbin? You’re attending mass with Lemon tomorrow but you’re already nervous now?” Homme teased.
Rawbin’s eyes widened after what he said as he didn’t expect Homme to hear that. Kippler and Kevz looked at Rawbin in unison so he averted his eyes.
“What? Did you invite Lemon to attend a mass tomorrow? And she said yes?” and Rawbin nodded to Kale. “What about me then? Who’s going with me?”
“I can go with you, sis,” Kellen volunteered. “Let’s leave Lemon to her date,” then she squealed as she wiggled her brows at Rawbin.
“Wow, dude! We were just late for an hour and you’ve already made a move on my partner? That’s some next-level step up!” Kevz praised and tapped his shoulder.
As they were talking one after the other, Rawbin couldn’t do anything but shake his head, nod, or just smile. Now, this is what he had to go through during the courting stage.
He needs to go past a couple of people before he can reach the finish line. Lemon’s mom isn’t even here yet.
Meanwhile, after modeling the gown for the entourage of her mom’s client, they headed to a nearby restaurant to grab something to eat. On their way, she felt her phone vibrating from her back pocket.
‘Are you coming back? Don’t forget to grab some snacks!’
Lemon automatically smiled when she read Rawbin’s message. For the past weeks, he’s been extra sweet. He’s been extra caring especially when practice ends late.
He never failed to try to brighten her day by bringing her a cup of her favorite brew. If someone looked from the outside, they’d think something special was going on between them.
In reality, there’s none. Although she sometimes feels that he treats her extra special compared to Kellen, she doesn’t want to assume too, she could be wrong and it could be an epic fail.
“And who’s the sender?” Tori asked when she caught a glimpse of her daughter smiling.
“It’s Rawbin.”
“Ohhh, that handsome guy you duet with?” Dahlia asked and she nodded.
She then turned to Tori, as if she recalled something. “Wasn’t he the one who sent flowers at home earlier?”
“He did what?” Lemon asked, surprised.
“I do think it’s him,” Dahlia told Tori, then she turned to Lemon. “After you left for the studio earlier, we received a delivery. It was a bouquet and it’s addressed to you, from Rawbin Llamansares. It’s the same guy right?”
She was in awe when she heard that. Lemon didn’t have a faint idea that something like that happened. So she took her phone out again to send him a message.
“Thanks for the reminder. But there’s something you’re not telling me…”
