“But Calvin brought a lady last week Wednesday. ” Mrs May bursted and Zoey felt her heart sink down to its normal position.
“What? Zoey stuttered as felt her feet moving back a little.
“Does that mean he has someone he has shown his family? God, my first time in love. ” She thought almost in tears.
“Which lady mom? ” Ayden asked with a serious face.
“The lady in a black suit. ” Mrs May replied and Austin and Ayden burst into a round of laughter.
“That was Pooja mom, that’s his Indian personal assistant. ” Ayden laughed and Cali looked at Zoey’s face.
“So you are Calvin’s girlfriend? ” Mrs May asked and Zoey shook her head negatively.
“Haven’t I said yes to his request yet? ” She replied truthfully. The woman smiled at her and usher her to come to the living room and have a seat.
The whole family occupied the empty cushion, including Zoey herself.
“My name is Austin, guess I have seen you before. ” He smiled and Zoey chuckled at his gentleman looks.
“Where? ” His wife asked curiously. Mrs May laughed at her daughter-in-law’s jealous expression.
“I’m Ayden. ”
“I’m Marietta. ”
“I’m Zoey Diwali. ” Zoey uttered and they smiled at her.
“You are always welcome here daughter-in-law. ” Mrs Simon uttered and took her hand.
“Yes Zoey. ” Marietta and Cali brother added which almost brought tears in Zoey’s eye.
“Do you like her mom? ” Cali asked her mom.
“Of course, I will always like what my children like and I will always love what they love. ” She uttered with pride of being a mother.
“Why didn’t you tell us about your admission to H. U, I couldn’t track you because of a change of line. I couldn’t announce my missing daughter because the world doesn’t know I have a daughter, I have an introvert as a daughter.
Being a president made it easier to get those secret agents. But it was difficult to track down your location because there’s nothing they could use, it wasn’t fair, not even a call for the past five years. ” Mr Simon uttered with sadness in his voice.
“But Calvin knew about your whereabouts during the first year through Karen. ” Mrs added. .
“I told Calvin about my whereabouts the day I was leaving, including my new phone line and email address. ” Cali uttered and the living room atmosphere was dull.

“But he told his brothers. ” Ayden grinned and Cali made a furious face.
“Stop bragging about it. ” She rolled her eyes.
“I’m not staying long because I’m attending the H. U ball party for the coming graduates tonight. ” Cali mumbled and Mrs Simon smiled.
“Zoey. ” Marietta called and Zoey turned around to look at her.
“You look so much like a family friend. ” Marietta mumbled and Cali turned to look at Zoey again.

“She looks so much like Austin’s best friend. ” Marietta faced her husband.
“You mean Karen. ” He asked and she nodded.
“They don’t look alike. ” Austin jokes it off with a loud laugh.
“I’m serious honey. ” Marietta pouted with disappointment on her face.
“Who is Karen? Is he anyway related to me? I have a family out there. Zoey thought as kept playing with her hand.
“Mom. ” Cali called slowly.
“Why is she lost in thought? ” Mrs Simon asked worriedly.
“She’s an orphan who grew up in an orphanage. ” Cali mumbled as she looked at her best friend.
“How did she manage to get herself into H. U ” Marietta asked as she petted her baby to sleep on her lap.
“Scholarship, The Mayor gave her a scholarship. Cali explained and they nodded in response to her explanation.
“Zoey. ” Cali called while crouching in front of her.
“Oh My Gosh, you startled me. ” She snapped and then, she realized that she’s with Cali’s family, not with her friends.
“What’s wrong? Is there something on my face? ” She asked, looking at Cali’s family members.
“Nothing dear. ” Mrs Simon smiled and stood up from her sitting position.
Zoey made sure she made memories with Cali’s families. It was time to let go of the family she found herself trapped in. Mrs and the president decided to give out gifts to their daughter-in-law and their daughter.
Marietta wasn’t ready to let Zoey step out of their building, but of course, she had to go.
“We’re gonna visit next time, I promise you Marietta. ” Zoey shouted as she popped her head out through the car window. The drive to their place was a cool moment but Zoey was disturb by what Marietta said.
“What’s wrong? ” Cali asked as she drove on the highway.
“I feel a little discomfort. ” She lied.
“Did you think it’s your menstruation pain? ” Cali asked.
“I think so. ” She mumbled and shut her eyes.
“Okay, we will get home soon. ” Cali mumbled and touched her hand.

His car drove inside the silent compound, Karen was welcome by Camila and his baby Miranda.
“Where’s Ivy? ” He asked and carried Miranda from her.
“She’s inside. ” Camila replied as she walked inside with him.
“She didn’t say you are coming. ” Camila asked.
“I came to pack my files. She made a mistake when she was packing her bags for vacation. ” He replied as they finally got to the living room.
“Oh! She saw them and dropped them on the shelf. ” Camila uttered.
“Where’s everyone? Karen asked, looking around the empty living room.
“Everyone in their room.” She replied and watched him pick the files he needed among the ones on the shelf. He hands Miranda back to her.
“You aren’t seeing Ivy before you go. Camila asked In shock.
“I will talk to her on the phone. ” He replied and he nodded and walked to the living room.
