Xia Mo regretted it before she’d even finished!
“Xia Weiwei” were the three words that were strictly forbidden in front of Luo Chejue!
The air was suddenly frozen, and Luo Chejue’s face fell, as murderous intent began to appear on his face.
Xia Mo was so horrified that she started to tremble. She fell down at his feet and cried: “Jue! I didn’t mean it! I know it was all my fault four years ago! But I did it for you! My sister’s death really had nothing to do with me.”
Chu Yu looked at Luo Chejue’s expressionless face, while he was staring at Xia Mo as if she was an ant. He sighed from within. In the past four years, judging from what Luo Chejue had done to Xia Mo and the Xia’s, everyone was able to tell that he was avenging the death of Xia Weiwei. But nobody had the courage to mention anything about Xia Weiwei.
Jue, he just didn’t want to admit it from his heart!
If he had known that, why would he have done what he’d done before? Chu Yu shook his head. He’d been too conceited, for which he would have to bear the consequences. What he had lost would never come back.
Luo Chejue bent over and rubbed the ugly scar on Xia Mo’s face. His fingertips were cold, sending chills to Xia Mo. However, his tone was extremely gentle, with a hint of coaxing: “Oh? For me?”
Xia Mo saw the last glimmer of hope. She tightly tugged at his sleeve and said in a soft and alluring tone: “that baby was not yours! How could I ever allow a bastard to impersonate your son? It was the same with the shares. If I hadn’t forced her, she would have used a child to threaten you anyway! Love is selfish! Even though we are sisters, I didn’t want to see my sister with your baby!”
She said it sincerely. Xia Mo thought that Luo Chejue was angry with her only because of the recording exposed by Xia Weiwei back then. But if he could just think about it carefully, the most important truth had not been exposed, and after all it was because she loved him so much. As long as she explained it to Jue, he would definitely forgive her. After all, the one he loved was her, right?
Luo Chejue laughed. Xia Mo was a little lost in his laughter, until the cut on her cheek was split open and the stabbing pain woke her up. His words rang in her ears, as if a sudden and loud thunderclap.
“Did you really believe that the paternity test could have deceived me?”
Xia Mo felt like she’d just fallen into a cave made of ice.
What had he just said? He’d even known that the paternity test result was faked by her!
Luo Chejue had learned about it back then?!
How much had he figured out? Had he known everything all along? Including that incident?
No, no way! No one could have known that!
Xia Mo’s heart was pounding and she forced a smile: “Jue, what are you talking about? Wasn’t it you who asked for the paternity test?”
So, she had paid the doctor to tamper with the result.
Luo Chejue looked at her with disgust: “it seems you’ve not learned how to behave in these four years. When can you drop the act?”
Xia Mo collapsed on the floor. He even knew that she’d been acting! Four years ago, in the hospital, she had thought that her act of innocence was flawless in his eyes, but he had known the truth all along! Had he been putting on a show in front of her as well?!
She’d always thought that Luo Chejue had loved her! How could he have not loved her!
She would never admit it!
Her mask was ripped off inch by inch. Xia Mo cried out hurriedly: “Jue, you love me, right?” She nodded to herself: “yes! You must have loved me! You have tacitly consented to everything I’ve done this whole time, right?”
Yes, that must have been the case!
As if he had heard a joke, Luo Chejue said: “I’ve loved you?! You’ve gone too far in the direction of wrong! I’ve always only had disgust for you!” He kicked Xia Mo away, as if she was a piece of garbage.
