Xia Mo fell to the ground, her forehead bruised, and her face was also marred by blood because of the constant frictions with the ground in the process of falling down the stairs. Blood gushed out from between her legs, and the blood stains were especially striking on her white skirt.
Xiaweiwei stood upstairs in a trance. Thoughts of the scene of herself bleeding profusely when losing her child, the agony of losing her son, and her giving up the chance of ever becoming a mother again for that child crossed her mind. But now, Xia Mo was willing to sacrifice her baby for money and her own love life!
Her father helped Xia Mo up and shouted harshly: “call an ambulance!”
Upon hearing him, the nannies and bodyguards all rushed inside.
Xia Mo tightly tugged at her father’s sleeve, her fragility so pitiful, and she said in a broken voice: “Dad, don’t blame her. It’s all my fault. Weiwei said she wanted to avenge her child. I really didn’t mean to hurt him.”
“Ok, fine, set your mind at ease. Dad knows you’re a good kid. I know about that baby. His death has nothing to do with you. It’s all your sister’s fault. Dad will uphold justice for you!”
Xia Mo was in real pain, but she was ruthless enough to have pulled this trick off. Making concessions in order to gain advantages was cliché but had been useful every time. So she smiled reassuringly before she passed out.
Xia Weiwei hurriedly went up to her father: “Dad, it’s not… It’s Xia Mo who wanted to frame me and fell down the stairs on purpose.”
Bang!
Her father slapped her heavily in the face, which was also like a blow to her heart.
The wound that hadn’t fully recovered was cracked open and blood was seething out through the gauze.
“Don’t call me dad! I don’t have such a wicked daughter like you! It seems killing your mother isn’t enough for you, now you are trying to kill your sister as well! Last time you nearly strangled Mo to death. I won’t let you get away with that!”
Xia Weiwei stared at her father in a daze, and the disgust in his eyes hurt her so much!
Why? Even her most beloved and respected father also said that mother’s death was her fault? What was really happening? Two years ago, she went to visit mom in the hospital every day, and mom would only smile when seeing her. That day, she learned from the doctor that mom would soon be discharged. She happily shared the good news but soon after she went home, she received the news of her mother’s sudden death.
Was it because she was the last person mom had seen, which had made her the killer just like the death of aunt Lan?
Xia Weiwei didn’t care whatever the public had said about her, but father was the one who had been watching her grow up. Why would he rather sever his father-daughter relationship with her than believe in her!
Isn’t blood thicker than water? But the pain it’d brought was like her flesh and blood being torn from her body inch by inch. Her tears rolled down uncontrollably.
His father who used to carry her on his shoulder and call her “my sweet little girl” would never ever return. She had lost her only close relative.
Her father didn’t even look at Xia Weiwei. He beckoned to the several guards who rushed to seize her with all their strength, as if she was a criminal who would never be pardoned.
“Take her to the hospital.”
Xia Weiwei struggled: “let go of me! I’m not going! Dad, believe ir or not, it’s all a part of Xia Mo’s scheme. I’ve done nothing wrong! ”
Father Xia paused, and his tone was as stern and cold as ice: “I’ve seen it with my own eyes! I didn’t want to pursue what had happened before for the sake of your mother’s love for you, but it was way beyond my expectation that you came and harmed your sister instead of repenting for your sins. If anything happens to her, I will have you pay for it with your own life, and don’t blame me for not taking our father-daughter relationship into account!”
