Xia Weiwei had got ready to bear the brunt of Luo Chejue’s anger when she returned to the villa. She knew that he, so arrogant and conceited, would never allow anyone to disobey him. It was obvious that Xia Weiwei, sneaking out to meet Yan Shaoxuan, would surely infuriate him.
She wouldn’t do it for sure before. In the two years after the accident, Xia Weiwei had never meet Yan Shaoxuan, in fear that Luo Chejue would misunderstand her. Now, she would never care anymore.
To her surprise, Xia Mo, as the hostess, was sitting in the living room. Xia Weiwei was so nervous that she clenched the belt of her handbag, even making it twisted.
“What happened? Are you so astonished to see me here?”
Xia Mo sipped the coffee before saying leisurely, “Let me guess. Do you think Jue will wait for you here just because you sneaked out to meet Yan Shaoxuan?”
Ignoring her irony directly, Xia Weiwei went upstairs. Her mood would experience an uncontrollable dramatic change when facing Xia Mo and Luo Chejue. Since there was no medicine at hand, she wouldn’t allow herself to be stimulated.
How could Xia Mo let off Xia Weiwei so easily?
“Exactly. Since my dear sister has always been flattering yourself by sounding out Jue’s intentions, this time let me satisfy you.”
As soon as she finished speaking, a pile of photos was thrown onto Xia Weiwei’s face, all of which were about her meeting with Yan Shaoxuan. The photographer, obviously, was fully prepared, merely focusing on their “intimate moments”. Even Xia Weiwei would believe the two persons in the photo were a couple if the woman were not herself.
“I have already put these on the table of Jue’s office, so it was he who asked me to come here. Why would Jue care about a dissolute person like you? He will only detest you as much as he can.”
Closing her eyes, Xia Weiwei took a deep breath before stepping forward on the scattering photos. She knew it clearly that it was Xia Mo who ordered the photographer to follow her, aiming at ruining her marriage completely.
“Xia Mo, even Luo Chejue doesn’t love me, we still won’t divorce. Stop dreaming about being his lawful wife someday!”
For Xia Weiwei, the best way to take revenge was to be the lawful Mrs. Luo forever.
Xia Mo smiled. It was so easy to defeat her elder sister with a simple fact. “Dear sister, do you know why Jue refuses to divorce? How partial mum was to have left the stock to you as your dowry. Jue will definitely not give up such a good chance to promote the Luo’s Group with that money in your hand.”
Her words chilled Xia Weiwei to the bones.
“What do you mean by that?”
“Don’t you understand? Although you accidentally killed Jue’s mother two years ago, he still married you. Can’t you see the reason why?”
No way! It was definitely out of the question!
Xia Weiwei felt blood rushing to her throat, with a puff of fishy smell lingering in her mouth.
Xia Mo rose to her feet, closing in on her elder sister condescendingly.
“Xia Weiwei, the marriage you have always been longing for is no more than a joke. It is not you, but the stock in your hand that Jue wanted to marry!”
Xia Weiwei spitted a mouthful of blood in dizziness, her temples stinging sharply, making her mind go blank.
That was exactly what Xia Mo wanted!
She intended to see Xia Weiwei collapse. Why could she be the one to inherit the stock and marry Jue! Why could she be the one favored by all the people! Was it merely because of her title as the eldest daughter of the Xia family?
Xia Mo, her eyes flickering with great hatred, must ruin Xia Weiwei completely!
“Ah! I will slay you, Xia Mo!”
Losing her sense entirely, Xia Weiwei, with bloodshot eyes, pounced on Xia Mo before trying to choke her to death with bare hands.
“Help! Help! Stop, sister!”
Xia Mo, though shouting painfully, had already figured out what she should do next. She knocked the desk heavily, crashing the porcelain cups on it into pieces. Upon hearing the crisp clangs, a nanny hurried here, but failed to drag Xia Weiwei away.
Since she had reached her goal, Xia Mo seized an ashtray randomly before knocking Xia Weiwei’s head with all her strength and watching her fall down on the glass pieces.
“Send for the doctor at once. My sister is having a relapse.”
Xia Mo, with her neck full of purple bruises, pretended to hold Xia Weiwei in a hurry.
The nanny left in horror, greatly impressed by Miss Xia’s kindness.
Given the minor trauma on Xia Weiwei’s face and her intact beauty, Xia Mo couldn’t help feeling incensed at her good luck.
All of sudden, she made a merciless slash on Xia Weiwei’s face with a piece of porcelain debris, giving a full vent to her jealousy.
