It’s been a month since I found out I was pregnant with triplets, my joy tripled even Mrs. Kathrine was so excited that she nearly forbid me to quit my work and focus on my pregnancy, but no…. I don’t want to be a liability to anyone and that’s why I refuse to quit my job, I don’t want my kids to lack anything I want to work so hard so I can be able to give them a good life
I already completed my stripping deal with my boss and right now I’m a full worker in our bat, and these days our bar is always filled up cause of the customers I got for my boss and now she pays stripers to come dance in our bar, although the customers prefer me and kept on asking about the reason why I stopped dancing but my boss always tell them that I could no longer dance cause of personal issues
I woke up early to come to the bar today cause our order will be arriving early and I will have a lot of records to take
I was done taking my bath and since my belly is becoming more visible every day I had to settle for a loose-fitting gown so I don’t feel uncomfortable since most of the clothes Mrs. Kathrine got for me is already tight
I keep on increasing every day, sometimes I miss my mum and wish she’s here to experience all these stages with me, but remember I have Mrs. Kathrine who’s also like a mother to me, I know I had nothing to worry about.
I was done wearing my dress, I wore a red free gown and a white handbag, and white slippers, I hurried out of the room cause I was already late,
I met Mrs. Kathrine setting food in the dining and the sweet aroma of the food made my stomach churn in excitement, I sat down immediately pushing the plate of food towards me, and without thinking I use my bare hands and deep into the food immediately,
Right now I’m so hungry that I felt like the food will run away if I don’t eat them,
“Easy honey there’s more” I heard Mrs. Kathrine’s voice and raise my head to see her watching me with a face filled with smiles
“Come on dear eat up”
I suddenly become shy and embarrassed since I’m eating with my bare hand but when I remembered that I still have my work to catch up with, I quickly signed into the food for the second time and finished everything
I washed my hand immediately and stood up
“Are you ready to go?” Mrs. Kathrine asked
“Yes, any problem?” I rumbled through my bag making sure everything is in other including my lunch
“No dear I just want you to be careful cause of the babies”
I smile and walk towards Mrs. Kathrine engulfing her in a tight hug,
“You don’t have to be worried about me, I can always take care of myself” I whispered into her ear leaning more into her warm embrace as she pats me back lovingly
We pulled away from the hug
”Alright I won’t worry but you have to be careful okay”
“Alright sure I will”
“You need to go now so you won’t be late for work”
“Bye Mum……!” I yelled rushing out of the house
“Bye, dear, have a nice day and take care of yourself…!”
I walked down the street and was shocked at the amount of traffic that was on the road. It was very jammed. How will I get to work early?
I know If I keep standing, my waist will hurt and I’ll be late for work so I had no choice right now but to trek to work
I started walking even when people were giving me stares, maybe cause of my pregnancy I still didn’t care
The early morning sun was out already, it was heating me so bad that sweat trickled down my forehead, I was already tired especially since my waist was hurting me,
My breath turned erratic, I was tired from walking but since I’m already close to the bar I decided to keep walking
Finally, after a long walk, I’m standing in front of the bar, I made to enter into the bar when suddenly I felt dizzy, I was about to fall when I held onto the door balancing my stamina
I stood for some seconds trying to regain back myself when suddenly
“Are you serious Marrisa, you’re coming to work by this time and instead of you to hurry up you stood there like a frozen chicken, do you think this bar is a place you can do anything, hurry up inside there’s a lot of work to do”
“I’m sorry mam”
“Get inside and work, she snarled before walking inside”
I manage to pull myself together and walk into the bar, I started taking count of the newly arrived wines and orders
It wasn’t easy because there were new orders and there were so many drinks to take count of.
I stood up taking orders of new drinks, it almost close to two hours and I was getting tired of standing already, my waist is hurting badly and I needed a rest from the stress but I’m sure my boss won’t hear of it
Right now it’s close now but I have not sat down since morning, I’ve sat down, more orders are coming in and my boss kept on shouting and screaming and shouting that I’m slow
“How can you be so slow, you’re still taking these orders since morning, Marrisa don’t make me regret taking you in”
“But mam…..”
“If your pregnancy is going to make you to run down my bar then you better quit, this is no place for lazy people”
“I’ve been trying ma, don’t you see”
“Ohh please….. hurry up my money and customers are more important to me than anything else”
I made to take a step when suddenly every started going round in circles, I tried to hold onto something but I saw none,
“What’s wrong?” I heard my boss voice but I was too confused to hear that
The dizziness increased and before I could ask for help, I felt myself lowering to the ground I couldn’t control it anymore all I saw was darkness, I black out
