“Sign the whole property into your name?”
”Yes…. ” She replied without blinking her eyes
“But babe why would you even think of that, I’ve always tried my best to provide everything you have always needed”
“And you think your best is enough?!” She screamed standing up in anger
“Sweetheart you need to calm down….”
“Nobody loves me, not your parents, not your families, everybody thinks I’m just a gold digger that wants to feed on Declan’s wealth!”
”Babe remember we promised to get married tomorrow”
“Well, that has to be on hold till you sign the papers, if not there will be no marriage!!”
“Rose……!!” I screamed
“I’m done with this conversation….!” She glared at me before rushing upstairs
I sighed and sat down on the couch thinking of million reasons why she thought I could ever leave her, for peter’s sake I love her so much why would she think like that
I know what I will do, if signing my property to her is all it will cost for her to see how much I love her then I’m doing that.
I stood up from the couch and started walking upstairs to our room, I pulled the door open and entered to see her already sleeping, or should I say pretending to be asleep
I walk to the other side of the bed and lay down, I shifted closer to her and wrapped my arms around her waist, but she pulled my hand off and shifted far away
“I’ve agreed to your demands, I’ll go see my father tomorrow and talk to him about it”
“Really……” She turned immediately with smiles plastered all over her face, just what I wanted to see her smiles
“If that’s what you want who am I to deny you of that”
“Come here….!!” She screamed excitedly engulfing me in a tight hug
“I love you…” She smiles caressing my face lovingly
“I love you more…” I pulled closer crashing my lips on hers, I trial my hand underneath her nightie,
“Stop….” She said pulling away,
“Why…. what happened?”
“I’m tired today maybe tomorrow”
I sighed, even though I want her so badly I still have to respect her decision, she’s pregnant
“Alright tomorrow”
“Hmmm….” She nodded her head and shifted closer, she wrapped her hand around me, and I hugged her closer to me, I kissed her forehead and we both slept off.
I woke up in the morning and opened my eyes to see Rose was out of the bed already. I sat up rubbing my eyes sleepily
“Good morning……” Rose greeted walking into the room with a tray of breakfast
“Sweetheart….” I smile
“How was your night?”
“Sweet, so you woke up early”
“To make you breakfast” She winked
“You’re the best” I winked and she blushed
“Eat up so you won’t be late for work”
“Thank you, babe”
“You’re welcome” She smiled walking away.
One hour later I was done preparing for work, I took my car keys and all the necessary stuff I needed before leaving the house, though Rose left earlier
I walked into the garage and entered my Lamborghini, ignited the car, and drove out of the mansion.
The drive to the office was stressful, there was a lot of traffic and before I could reach the office it was already late.
I walked into the company with a lot on my mind, thinking of how to break this whole news to my dad especially when it has to do with the whole of Declan’s wealth
“Good morning sir”
I look up to see my secretary holding a file in her hand
“What is it?”
“I think we have a problem, the big boss is here and he’s requesting for your presence he doesn’t look happy”
“It’s okay I’ll handle it from here” I replied knowing she’s talking about my dad, I wondered what the problem is and why he would be here at this time
I straightened up and walked into my office, but was surprised to see my dad standing with a frown on his face
“Dad…..” I called
“How long will you keep on being a woman’s toy?”
“Dad….. what are you talking about?”
“Three months Robert, it’s been three months since Marrisa left ain’t you thinking of finding her”
I sighed and sat on the couch
“Dad please sit we need to talk”
“About what?” He snarled
“Seat first Dad, please……”
“Fine…..” He muttered grumpily seating beside me
“Rissa and I broke up before she left, Dad she’s no longer my wife and you need to respect that”
“The fact that she has been missing, aren’t you worried”
“She’s no longer my responsibility dad, why would I care”
“Sometimes I wonder if I gave birth to you,” He said and made to stand up but I held onto his hand
“Dad I’m not done”
“Well listen, son, I’m done with this conversation” He flung his hand away and started walking toward the door
“It’s about the family’s wealth……”
He halted on his steps and turned toward me, looking at me to go ahead,
“It’s Rissa, she’s scared that nobody likes her”
“And……?”
“So she said that before she gets married to me, I have to sign the families property into her name, ”
I expected my dad to support me, but then
“Haha…haha…. haha…!” He started laughing, catching me unawares
Suddenly he stopped and his face changed to that of danger…..
“How dare she….. how dare that little mouse of yours think she can reap where she didn’t sow”
“Dad…..”
“Enough……! It’s obvious she has turned you into something else, you no longer think like the man you are, where are your senses Robert Declan, where……!!” He screamed scaring the daylight out of my system
“Dad all I need is your support”
“Well listen, young man, you can only get my support when you start thinking and acting like the Declan that you’re, or better still allow yourself to be used just like a toy”
“I don’t know what you’re saying Dad, but I’m signing my own shares into her name”
“Dare me Robert, and I bet you would spend the rest of your life begging on the street”
“Why does everyone keep on saying that Rose is bad, Dad she’s a sweet soul”
“Robert she’s only pretending to get what she wants, open your eyes then you’ll see you’ve been leaving with a monster”
“Dad enough…. I won’t have you insult my woman”
“Trust me, son, she’s not worthy to be called a woman
” But Dad…..”
“Robert open your eyes, so you’ll see that the devil you know is better than the angel you do not know, be wise” He spoke and walked straight to the door, he left
