I drove into my father’s mansion and parked safely becoming coming down with my bags, I wasn’t expecting mum and dad to be home since its working time so I’m going to rest and prepare for what to tell them in the evening
I walked into the mansion and was surprised to see mum and Dad having a good time. I halted on my step
Their eyes trail my bags and they looked at each other
“What happened?” They chorused together making me feel ashamed for failing them
“My darling….” Mum rushed toward me and engulf me in a tight hug while dad stood up looking worried
Mum walked me to the couch and helped me to seat down
“Why are you with your bags honey, did something happen tell me?” Mum urged
“Calm down darling allow her to rest, ” Dad said
Tears blurred my vision, I couldn’t talk am broken and weak from all the drama that Robert has put me through
“Come here” Mum hugged me to herself patting my back calmly, she continue doing that till I was calm
“Stop crying it’s okay” She smiled wiping my cheeks.
“Tell me, my princess, what happened, who caused you tears”
I sighed and relaxed back on the couch looking at the ceiling
“Mum I’m tired….” I suddenly muttered
“Honey, what exactly are you tired of?”
“It’s Robert’s mum, I quit at this point I can’t do this anymore……” I cried
“How dare him, how dare the Declan’s caused my daughter pain?!” Dad roared rushing upstairs
“Gosh your father is angered, tell me darling what is it?”
“Robert is making that house so unbearable for me, he cheats all the time and frustrates my life, mum please I don’t want to go back there anymore please” I pleaded holding onto her hands
Dad rushed down holding his car key and looking furious
“Darling where are you going?” Mum asked
“To the Declans they have to pay for what their son did to my daughter,” Dad said and made to leave but mum stood up immediately and block his part
“Calm down darling, we can’t create another chaos we have to settle this amicably”
“Dad I think mum is right, you have to calm down I added”
Dad looked at me and sighed before sitting back down on the couch. Mum walk back and sat beside me
Dad suddenly stood up and started walking upstairs
“Darling where are you going? Mum asks
“I need to speak with me Declan, he has to caution his son for causing my daughter tears,” Dad said with finalization going upstairs
“Listen Rissa marriage is not easy, it’s not a bed of roses, and you can’t just live your home whenever you have an issue with him”
“But mum….”
“Listen to your mother darling you have to go back to your husband”
“Mum…..!”
“Yes darling…. you have to, I’m your mother I can’t deceive you”
“You have to go back to your husband or get ready for anything which includes another woman in your home”
“Mum stop….!”
“I’m telling you the truth darling, all these single women you see are looking for a place to claim, you don’t have to leave your home for anything, no home is perfect, you just have to mold your own home into what you want it to be and not leave whenever there’s an issue”
“Mum I’m already tired”
“You can’t be darling…” She smiles cupping my cheeks,
“But I’m tired of everything already”
“I know dear, but seat down and think about the reason why you married Robert in the beginning, you didn’t marry him to give up easily, do you?”
“No… ” I shook my head negatively
“I’m going upstairs, you have all the time you need before down to decide on what you want, but always remember that whatever your decision is I and your father will always support you”
She stood up and made to walk away
“Mum….” I called and engulf her in a right hug
”Thank you mumy, thanks to you and dad for not giving up on me, even when I gave up on myself”
She pulled away from the hug and caress my hair
“Always remember we will always stand by you, and whenever it gets tough, we are always here to comfort you”
“Thanks, mum”
“Alright darling I’ll leave you to give my advice some thought”
“Okay” I nodded and watch her go upstairs, I sat back on the couch and sighed, thinking about all I discussed with mum.
I think mum is right, maybe I shouldn’t have given up so easily, what if Rose take this opportunity and move into my home,
“Gosh Rissa, how could you be so foolish?” I scold myself
I was still in thought when I start feeling dizzy, slowly I rest my head on the couch and doze off.
“Rissa…..”
“Rissa…. ” I heard voices and opened my eyes to see mum standing beside me
“Mum…” I whispered looking around the whole place to see it’s dark already
“Darling it’s late, what’s your decision, are you staying or leaving?” Mum asked sitting beside me
I breathed out before speaking up,
“I’m going back mum, I want to make things right I don’t want to give up yet”
“Come here” Mum smiled giving me a side hug
“This is the best decision ever”
“My princess…” Dad called walking downstairs, he walked toward me and sat by my side
“Dad….”
“I’m always with you just remember whenever it gets too hard, you have a home to come back to”
I look at my parents appreciatively
“Thank you mum, thank you Dad for all the support you two are my life saver”
“You’re welcome darling, you have to leave before it gets darker”
“Okay mum”
I hurried up and took my bag from where I kept it, I turn to mum and dad and rush to them kissing both of them on the cheeks
“Bye…..” I scream rushing out
“Drive safely” I heard both of their voices but I already left the house.
I stock my bags into the car before driving off.
The drive wasn’t long since the road is free. I drove into the mansion and was surprised to see a car that doesn’t belong to Robert parked in the garage.
I took my bags and entered the mansion. I halted on my steps seeing Robert and Rose seating in a romantic position on the couch in the living room
Robert was sitting on the couch while Rose lay on the couch resting her head on his lap,
I fought back the anger, and fury that’s beginning to rose in my heart
I made to ignore them and walk upstairs when I heard Roberts’s voice
“Rose is pregnant with my child”
I felt my whole being leaving me, my body suddenly turned hot as beads of sweat dripped down from my forehead, my hand shivered in fear, my worst nightmare is watching another woman take my home,
“At least I’m not some barren woman that can’t birth a child,” Rose said adding salt to my injury, I refuse to shed a tear
I look at Robert and suddenly pity him if only he knows what he just did
“Robert are you sure you want this?”
“The divorce paper is there on the table, sign them and leave my life you’re useless at this point”
I didn’t argue with him, I’m done with this whole blushit, I walked toward the table and pick up the pen, I signed the divorce papers
I turn to them to see both of them looking surprised
“Robert Declan I love you more than I love myself, I gave you everything but all you gave me was pain, misery, agony, and regret. I live today but mark my words this decision of yours will be your biggest mistake tomorrow, all the best with your life”
I walk out of the house, heavy thunder struck, and immediately a heavy rain began, I ignored the rain and walk to my car, I dropped my bag in the car trunk and entered my car
I glance at the mansion one last time, and drove off, this time around
“I’m leaving this country for good, with my unborn child”
