The next morning

I got prepared for school and went down for breakfast.
“Good morning Dad”I pecked his cheek and he smiled and returned my greeting.
“Good morning, momma”I pecked her forehead then her both cheeks
“Awnn, look who’s in good mood”Mom teased and I blushed a little.
“Good morning, hard – headed boy, even though you are the one to greet me”I pecked his forehead and he giggled.
“Sorry Sis, Good morning”he said and got on his chair then pecked my both cheeks.
I ruffled his hair and he got down from the chair and sat down.
I also drived out a chair and sat down.
The maids dished out my food this time around. It was slice bread and poached egg.
I carefully took the triangular shape bread and drop it in my mouth then scooped some egg inside my mouth.

“It seems something is making you happy today?”Mirabel whispered besides me and I smiled.
“Of course – it’s styopa, I saw him in my dream”I wanted to reply him but I shut it off.

I stood up when I was done with my food.
I bade my family goodbye and walk outside for my ride.
“Good morning, Raq”the driver greeted.
“Good morning, Sean”I replied.
“Raquel, wait!!”I heard Mirabel voice from behind.
“What?”I asked and he smiled.
“I’ll like to ride with you today”
“Seriously??, why?”I scoffed and folded my hand.
“It’s nothing, I just feel like riding with you”he shrugged.
I shook my head and hop in the car and he also came and sat beside me.
This might be a bad idea cause Mirabel school is far from mine and I’ll have to get down first.
“Wait, Sean”I said and I turned to Mirabel.
“You Know I’ll have to get down first and…”
“I’ll be fine, don’t worry”he chipped in and plucked his ear pod.

Sean drove into the school building and parked the car.
As i made to got down, another car drove in and I watch intensively as the person parked the car and got down.
Wait…. that’s styopa??
My heart beat rapidly and I held of my bag tightly.
“Get down, sis”Mirabel said.

I watched as the girls he encounters with quickly took a picture of him and giggle.
“C’mon, get down, Raq, your brother is gonna be late for school”Sean persuaded.

“I know I’ll find something, seems she finally has a crush on a guy”I heard Mirabel chuckled but I didn’t pay more attention to it.
I got down from the car when I was sure styopa has walk a long distance.
Sean drove out and I started walking towards the school premises.
I sighted Miranda and koyla from afar and I ran towards them.
“Hey, guys”I beamed and koyla rolled her eyes and tried walking away but I dragged her back by her arm.
“Not too fast sweetie, there’s a lot of gist which you won’t wanna miss, you Know”I smirked and she scoffed and yank her arm away angrily.
“Miranda, let’s go”she said and Miranda shot me a “I’ll help talk to her*look and walk away with her.
I sighed as I watch them walk away.
I batted my eyelashes and started walking towards the school.
I got to the class and Immediately koyla spot me, she rolled her eyes.
I sighed and walk towards my seat.

“The teacher is here!”she interrupted.
We greeted the teacher and he nodded.
“We are still at utility, right? I can remember I told you utility is the satisfaction a human…”

The bell rang indicating lunch break.
“You going?, cafeteria?”I questioned koyla and she sighed and look at me.
“I wanted to be angry with you but it seems I’m loving you more”she scoffed loudly.
“Well, that’s because I’m such a sweet darling”I smiled.
She stifled a laugh and I smiled.
“I know a little of styopa secret”I whispered in her ear and I watched as her face got full with anticipation.
“Seriously?, how?”she whispered back and I smiled.
“I’ll give you every details at the cafeteria”I replied and she nodded.

“Strawberry milkshake and pancake with maple syrup”I told koyla and she walked away.
I sighted Delilah from afar and I gestured for her to come over.
She smiled at me and started walking towards my direction.
Koyla arrived with my food as Delilah sat down.
She threw me a quizzical look and I gave her a puppy face.
She sighed and returned to carry her food.

“I saw you dance yesterday and damm!, your moves is sooo crazy!”Delilah complimented and I smiled.
“Yeah thanks. You’re quite good at your act also”I returned the compliment.
“Thanks”she said shyly and koyla returned with her food.
She sat down and I began telling her what I know.
“So, when I’d ran out of the hall, I went to the restroom then I started hearing voices from the toilet and so…. I eavesdropped. Two guys was..”
“What?, what are they doing in the girls restroom”koyla scoffed and I rolled my balls.
“Let’s me finish, Barbie”
She flushed at my statement and I continued.
“And I later found out it’s styopa and another guy o couldn’t decipher through his voice”I said and Delilah furrowed her brows.
“So, what are they talking about?”she asked.
“Styopa is being threatened!”I whispered – yelled and they gasped.
“W.. what???”Delilah stuttered and koyla eyes popped out of its sockets.
“Is …. that possible?”koyla asked and I scoffed.
“Of course!”
I drank from my milkshake and sighed.
“But who could it be?, who’s threatening him?”I asked.
The bell rang and I groaned.
“Seriously?”I grumbled.
I stood up and expect the girls to do the same but they don’t.
“Should I go ahead?”I asked and koyla stood up sluggishly.
“Delilah?”I called.
“Hmmmm?, you guys should go on without me”she replied.
“Why?”I asked and koyla dragged me away.
We arrived at the classroom and walk to our seats then sat down.
“Who did you think…”koyla got cut off by the teacher present.
“Settle down!”he said grumpily.
The students sat and the ones outside quickly entered.

“Bye!”I waved at Koy as I walk to my ride.
Koyla was very distractive in class. She kept asking me if I’m sure about what I said back in the cafeteria and I always gave her a big’YES’
“Sis..”Mirabel squealed and hugged me tightly.
“Huh?, what are you doing here?”I questioned, disengaging from the hug and he rolled his eyes.
“I asked Sean to come and take me this morning”
I nodded and walk to the car then hop in.
Mirabel came to sit beside me and Sean drove out.
We arrived home after several minutes of driving.
Mirabel and I entered the house and found impatient Mom and Dad.
“Seriously, Raquel?, I told you to be back on time”Dad scoffed.
“I’m I late?”I asked and he threw glares at me.
“Go dress up!”he said with authority.
I quickly climbed the stairs to my room and freshen up.
I came back wrapped in a pink towel and blow dry my hair.
I picked out a red dress in my closet and brought out a pair of blue sandals.
I quickly dress up and carried my bag from the table and rushed downstairs.

“I’m here!”I interrupted Mom and he turned to look at me.
“Sooo pretty”Mom complimented and I smiled.
“Let’s go”I said and Dad nodded, interlocked his hand with Mirabel who look exceptionally cute and walk out.
“Go style your hair, dear”Mom whispered in my ears.
“Won’t Dad complain?”I asked in a whisper.
“Only if he knows”she said and also walk out.

I quickly pick up my special car key and rushed out.
“Your Mom said you’re riding in your car?”Dad asked immediately I got out.
“Ye.. ah, yeah”I smiled nervously.
“Alright”he said and entered his SUV.
“I want to ride with you”Mirabel said and tears were glaze in his eyes.
“What with you and me these days?, why are you being clingy”I rolled my eyes and he busted into tears.

“Don’t mind your naughty sister, Mirabel, she’s nothing but a witch, okay?”Mom cajoled as she carried him up in her arms.
“You are a witch Raquel”he yelled and sniffed.
Mom entered the backseat with him and sat beside Dad then their driver drove them out.
I squealed and rushed to my white porch car then hopped in happily.
I ignited the engine and screamed,
“Yeah, baby!”☺️
Then, I drove out of the compound.
Wondering why I’m so excited?
Well, its because Dad has grounded me of driving my car because I was involved in a hit and run accident.
Dad later find out and deprived me of using my car.

I parked my car in front of the saloon and rushed down.
I entered and thank God, the customers are not many cause I can’t wait for long.
“Hey, Raq”Beatrice beamed and came to hug me.
Actually, she’s my stylist.
Thank God she’s not busy with any customer yet.
“Mm, I missed you”I smiled.
“Of course, it been long we’ve seen each other”she replied and I nodded.
“I need to get my hair done quickly, I’m going to a family luncheon”I said and sat down on a chair.

She came to stand behind me and smile.

I stare at myself in the mirror and blushed.
Beatrice really did a great job.
“How much?”I asked and she smiled.
“Not much, I just need you to come to my wedding”she said shyly.
My face beamed and I spin the chair to look at her.
“Are you… serious?”I asked, beaming with smiles.
“Hell. Yeah”she said and I quickly embraced her.
“Congratulations, sis”I congratulated.
“Awnn, thanks”she said.
“You are coming, right?”she added.
“Of course”
“Thank God. I’ll try and pair you up with my cousin and…”she stopped talking and laughed.
“Did I just spill the beans”
“Yes!. But only if your cousin is hot will I accept him and I have a fragile heart also, I hope he’s not a heart breaker”
My phone chimes before she would reply. I tapped on the screen and it was a message from Mom.

*Raquel!!!!!!*the message reads and I quickly carried my bag.
“I gotta go, goodbye”I kissed her cheeks and ran off.
I entered my car and drove out speedily.

I pulled over infront of the huge hotel and got down.
Well, this is where our family meetings is held.
I walked inside and all eyes turned to look at me.
I passed my card to the new receptionist and she smiled.
“Welcome Miss, you look beautiful”she complimented and I nodded.
“Thanks”I said as she returned my card to me.
If it was the old one, I wouldn’t have gave her my card because she’s familiar with me but I wonder why she’s not here anymore.
I walked towards the hall and when I got there, I pressed some codes on the passcode and the door slide opened.
“My sister is here”Mirabel announced and all eyes moved to my direction.
“Oh my God, Raquel, I heard what happened, I don’t know why the school will try to jump to conclusion without special findings, I’m really sorry. By the way you are looking more beautiful”Grandma stood up and walked to me.
“Yeah, she sure is!”my aunt said.

“Oh, Grandma, thanks”I embraced her and she Pat my back gently.
She walked me to the table and make sure I sat down beside her.
“Good afternoon”I greeted the others and they responded.
I scoured my eyes around the table.

I picked my spoon ready to dig in when the door slides open and Joann walk in with a lady. She was also putting on a red dress.
“Good afternoon, family”he smiled and I rolled my eyes.

“Welcome, Joann”grandma stood up and hug him.
“Hmm, I much I miss your scent”he engulfed her in his arms.
“Who is this, son?”Grannie asked and he chuckled.
” I thought it will be nice to bring her here so as to introduce her to the family once and for all. Meet Ava, everyone, she’s the love of my life.. my…”
“Oh, please!”I scoffed loudly, interrupting him.
He turned to look at me and smirk.

The lady behind him glared hard at me.

“I’m cool excluding the part you were trying to rub your love life on our face”I snorted.
“Really?, I was just trying to introduce her properly”he smiled.

Grandma also lead the both of them to the table and they sat down.
“Hey, Joann”Mirabel smile.
“Hey, little hot buddy”Joann replied and I scoffed.

The family bade each other their good byes.
“Good bye, Raq, it was nice seeing you”Joann walk over with his girlfriend.
“Yeah, bye”I said smiling.
Mirabel ran to me and hugged my legs.
This kid is acting weird.
“Hi”Ava greeted with a fake smile.
“Hi”I returned her fake smile.
“Okay, I’ll be on my way, I have a concert to prepare for”he said.
Oh, Before I forget, he’s a musian, a popular one at that.
“Of course”I said.
“I’ll be there”Mirabel said and Joann chuckled.
“Of course, thanks”he crouched down to his level and kissed his forehead.
He also did the same to me.
“I’ll be on my way now”he said and walk away with Ava.
“Okay, let’s go home”I said as I stared around and realized we are the only one there.

We walked outside and met Mom and Dad standing beside their car.
“Alright, let’s go little buddy”Dad said as he scooped Mirabel up in his arms.
He entered the backseat and mom also followed.
I sighed and walk to my car, opened it and got in.
I ignited the engine and turned on the radio.

And then after a while when they went on a break, they played one of his steaming songs.

I got down and went to stand in front of it then opened the bonnet.
I checked it and realized one of the wires was cut off.

I went back to the car and took my phone then started dialing Dad’s number.
“Hi, Dad”I said sardonically.
“Raquel, are you okay?”he asked.
“No, I’m not fine Dad. My car just broke down in the middle of a lonely road”I sobbed.
“What?!, where are you?”he questioned.
The cloud started rumbling and my anxiety increased.
A lightning struck and I screamed.
“Raquel?????!!!!!”Dad yelled my name.
“Dad please come and…” The call was disconnected before I could finish my statement.
I tried redialing his number but there was no service.

A heavy rain started and I rushed to my car.

I kicked the car angrily and dialed dad’s number again.
Still the same thing!!?
The rain started pouring bucket and that’s when i have to do something.
I can’t just remain here like this, bad guys will surely be around this place.

I got down from the car and the rain whipped me really hard.
I wrapped my arm around my body to keep me warm a little.
I walked in front of my car and hope a car will pass by.
My teeth gnashed together and i finally saw an incoming car.

I flagged down the car but it didn’t stop, he zoomed past me splashing mud on my dress.
I busted into tears and cried my ass out.
I heard a car honk and I look up immediately to see a car parked beside me.
The person whined down the glass and my heart skipped.
“Sty.. styopa?”I called.
I shake uncomfortably because of his cold gaze.

And then in a gruffly tone, he said
