Diana’s POV
The hot scorching day turned into a windy freezing bright night as the moon shun on the earth.
The wind glided through the corners of every building and every exposed area. The sky was bright and gloomy as the stars became very visible and numerous.
I sat there in front of the bar counter having a good time, sipping tequila with Jeremy and Evelyn. Well…. I wouldn’t say Evelyn and Jeremy were best of friends but they went along just fine.
“Are you for reals? Sylvester walked in on you guys?” Jeremy laughed uncontrollably as though he couldn’t control his inflow of laughter.
” Well… that wasn’t even the worst part” I muttered.
“What what?” they questioned in expectancy, thrilled and eager to hear the full story.
I took another sip into my tequila and faced them. I could really sense the eagerness to get the full story in their body languages.
“He asked me if Branden was the reason I called off on him….” before I could complete my sentence they bursted into another round of uncontrollable.
I rolled my eyes and waited until they had finished laughing.
“You know it’s sounds funny but it isn’t, what if Branden begins to have second thoughts about me. That I probably have something to do with his brother or men generally” I muttered in worry.
“Ok Diana chill. It probably seemed more like Sylvester was forcing himself on you and that doesn’t speak anything about you but about him, so chill” Evelyn commented in a reassuring demeanor.
“Yeah so you don’t have to worry ok? Sip some more tequila and loosen up” Jeremy said.
Under the sound of music we partied loudly and boy drank, making noise and screaming out asses off the at club.
I was never really a person to go partying but I knew that once Jeremy and Evelyn becomes very persuasive I’d have no choice than to agree. I literally had a say but technically they never really listened to me when I brought up plans for our hangouts.
I’d always persuade them to stay home with me and fix puzzles or watch a romance movie but as usual my plans were always categorized as boring and fun draining. I wasn’t really against the idea of clubbing and getting high on the contrary my style was more of the indoors like puzzling, watching a movie or playing random board games while we eat and listen to calming music.
I was beginning to feel dizzy and lightheaded, everything my eyes sighted doubled. Am I drunk? no way. Half a bottle of tequila can’t be enough to get me drunk.
Evelyn and Jeremy were carried away with the loud music they were dancing and rolling their head continuously. It was slightly difficult to decipher their current state I wasn’t able to tell if they were drunk or they are just really into the music.
“Diana are you alright? you almost fell back there” Evelyn put my right arm around her as he lifted me and carried me to a seat.
“I’m alright thank me later!!” words I had no control over came out of my mouth.
“Thank you for what?!” she loudly uttered her voice to match the loud music.
“For loving you baby!!” I said carelessly.
“Okay you’re drunk and I’m not talking to you” she smirked and giggled a little.
I felt free like an eagle, soaring the sky with nothing to hold back. It seemed as though I was out of worries. I couldn’t feel my face or my legs neither could I feel my hands, I was automatically on cloud nine but still a little cautious of what was going on.
“Diana! look!” Evelyn pointed at Branden in the mist of the crowd.
“What the fuck is he doing here? I never told him I was coming here tonight” my eyes were wide open as my carefree consciousness came back to reality and I was in my full sense.
“Tell him I was never here” I stood up and ran into the toilet to hide from him.
Is this a coincident or he just tracked my phone down to this place, I have no idea what that man is capable of. I could barely read through him even if I had to use his actions to weigh his personality.
“Hi!” Evelyn smiled at Branden as she greeted him.
“Hii…. you’re Diana’s friend right?” he questioned without an expression.
“Yes I am” she replied.
“Where is she? I saw her walk into this place” he continued.
“I just came, she must have probably gone home I didn’t see her” she answered
“But…”
“She’s not here sir” she cut him off just immediately.
“Uhhm alright thank you” he took a little stare at Evelyn, walked through the crowd and exited the building.
“This ruch dude must really be a stalker” Evelyn conveyed her thoughts into words.
“Is he gone?” I walked in and whispered to Evelyn.
“Yes he is gone” she replied reluctantly.
“Phewww that was a close on. There’s nothing wrong in him seeing me here but I just don’t want to speak to him” he said.
“I think he was stalking you, he said he saw you walk in” she took a long stare at me and it was obvious that she interpreted what he did as inappropriate.
“Wow” I became surprised and speechless all at once.
“Let’s go home it’s getting late” she picked up her bag and stood up.
“Wait what about Jeremy? go drag him here he looks very very drunk” I said.
She walked over to Jeremy who was dancing behind a blonde lady and dragged him by the hand.
“Wait I’m not done! give me my peace young lady, you don’t control me! let me have her” Jeremy said unconsciously, it seemed like his brain had been tampered with.
Nevertheless I still felt a little lightheaded but I was thinking straight now, after setting my eyes on Branden and washing my face in the toilet. I became fully cautious of my words and actions.
Evelyn was the only one who seemed fine and we’ll to do. She probably didn’t take as much alcohol has we did.
“Let’s go through the back so Mr stalker won’t see you” she dragged us both away from the loud music, into a tiny hall that led to the back exit.
We came out, got into her car and she drove off.
Within few minutes we arrived at Jeremy’s apartment, dropped his drunk self carefully on his couch and drove off.
“Well it’s time to go home….” she exclaimed with her hands on her keys as she ignited her engine back to life and drove towards my house.
She lifted my lightheaded slightly drunk self by the hand and took me in.
“What exactly do you eat Diana, you’re so heavy yet so slim” she exhaled loudly in tiredness.
I was a little too drunk to process anything that had just happened. So I laid down flat on my couch facing the ceiling.
“Uhmm Diana” Jane called out to me.
“Someone came looking for you, he gave me this to give you but he didn’t mention his name” she added
I collected the flowers and saw a note slightly hidden into the flowers.
I sat upright trying to gain my drowsy self, I opened and note and my eyes doubling the wordings which made it even more difficult to read. I handed the note and Evelyn and she read it loudly “I’ve been trying to reach you but I can’t get to you, I know you’re angry at me and I don’t blame you for it. I’m very sorry what I did please don’t ignore me I’m sorry”
It wasn’t so difficult to know who had done this. It was none other person than Sylvester but I was too off balance to reason anything so I laid down and slept off.
