“You didn’t tell me you have a sister, not even a sibling.” Karen stated as they walked away from the door.
“I guess we didn’t hang on long enough to find out.” Jack shrugged in response.
“Yeah. Right.” She responded as he opened the door for her.
“That is Alexa. Alexa Ellyn Antonio. My younger sister. She’s 20, studying law at texas.” he explained.
“Nice. I guess that explains why she isn’t aware of, you know… ” Karen stated, gesturing with her hands to make a point and Jack was quick to grab it. She was referring to their entire relationship fiasco that had gone down. After He had realized his mistakes, he paid all the blogs and media houses that carried the news to take them down.
“I’ll see you soon. Take care.” He pulled her into a quick hug and released her few seconds later. They were now standing in front of her car in the parking lot. She waved at him as she got into her car before driving off.

“Hello” The deep gruffy voice said into the phone. “What news do you have about my daughter?”
“She is doing pretty okay. Her business is going on smoothly, and I don’t know if you noticed, but she’s pregnant. Has a visible baby bump.” The man Karen’s father had employed to keep an eye on her reported to him via call.
“What!” His suprised voice exclaimed. They last time he had meet her at neyw York, she wasn’t pregnant. He then realized that maybe, she was in the early weeks of her pregnancy.
“There is another news.” the man informed him and his curiosity peaked, waiting to hear what he had to say.
“Damian is in Los Angeles and he has made contacts with your daughter. I’m yet to find out if there’s any relationship between them, or if he knows she’s your daughter.”
“Well, do that and report to me tomorrow.”
“Sure. Have a good night rest, sir.” The man replied and dropped the car, leaving him to his thoughts. He drank from his glass before his phone buzzed again, a message has just been delivered. He picked it up and checked, a credit alert had just come in for his personal shipment. A small smile made it’s way to his face. Guess the day wasn’t bad after all!

Jack walked into his office looking a little bit human than he had looked the last time he had visited the office. His secretary had called him to come in few hours ago, and when his mother and sister taking care of his dad, he realized he had enough time to sneak to his office.
“Good morning sir” His secretary at his company greeted.
He only nodded in response and she took that as a cue to walk behind him to his office. He settled in his chair, leaning into the back rest as his secretary stood in front of his table, holding her official ipad in her hands.
“The contractors in New York called in some days ago. They said your presence is needed at the project site.” she informed him. He sighed at the piece of information. It had totally escaped his mind that his hotel at New York was undergoing an expansion and he needed to supervise some things.
“Thank you. Put a call across to the manager at New York. Get the completion chart via email and tell him to report to me.” he ordered.
“Okay sir” She bowed, walking out. He looked at his wrist watch on his left wrist. It was some minutes past ten am. He still had enough time for a flight to New York.
Less than ten minutes later, his phone rang. He picked it up with looking at the hello. “Hello” he said into the mouthpiece.
“Good morning sir. I just received the call from your secretary. I called you immediately I got off the call with her.” he explained and jack only nodded absent mindedly at his comment. “The project is at ninety five percent completion. We just need you to come make some picks for the final decorations and set up, but if you’re too busy, I could make the trip to Los Angeles.” the manager explained humbly. According to the project plan, Jack was to make three inspection trips to New York, and so far, he had missed two. The manager had called his office and sent a personal email for a reminder for the inspection, but after he missed the first two inspections, he had called his secretary and was informed that the CEO had been away for more than a week.
“I’ll fly in today. I appreciate your concern though.” he replied.
“No problem sir, I’ll get everything set.”
After the call with the manager at New York, he phoned his mother, informing her of his unplanned trip to New York and after making sure that everything was under control, he called his driver to fix his flight.

“Good morning babe!” Harry cheerful voice went off as soon as his call to Ciara connected. He was seated in his office, his legs crossed on the table as he leaned into his seat. He had taken a little break from working on the computer.
“Morning, hun.” Ciara replied with the same cheerful tone. She held a cup of chocolate in her hand as she walked to her office. “How are you doing?”
“I’m fine. How about you? How is work going?” Harry asked and she let out a soft chuckle.
“Work is going on perfectly. I just felt a little lazy so I decided to grab a cup of hot chocolate. I’m on my way back to the office now”
“Well, I’m here in my office, wondering why you aren’t here beside me.” he teased and she laughed, opening the door to her office and stepping in.
“That’s because we don’t work together. You’re in Chicago while I am in Los Angeles. We are many cities apart” Ciara replied softly.
“There is a solution to that”
“Which is?”
“Come work for Harr communications” Harry replied and she sighed. They had gone over that as many times as she could remember. He had first suggested even before they started working and after returning to Chicago, he had made sure to bring it up in almost all of their discussion, but her answer had always been the same.
“No Harry, I love my work here.”
“Well.., I called with news” he started, dropping his legs from the table and sitting erect like he was sitting face to face with her.
“What news?”
“The partnership project between Hedz and Harr communication will be kicking off officially this week, and you’re working directly with me on the project so you will be needed here in Chicago, soon.” he revealed.
“Wow!”
“I’ve started making hotel reservations for you and your team. Your flight details will be communicated by your boss soon.” he added.
“I guess you have everything under control.” she assumed, sipping on her hot chocolate.
“Yes, my love. Can’t wait to see you.”
“Me too.”
They spoke for a little while before he dropped the call, promising to call back later. She placed the phone on her chest, a ghost of a smile on her face. The unconscious smiles everytime she heard his voice, the butterflies dancing at the pit of her stomach everytime he called her beautiful names, the urge to always speak with him almost everytime. Guess she finally found her man!
