Lola’s pov,
“That arrogant piece of shit!” Lola thought. She left Noah his office fuming with rage. She needed to go for a walk to cool off and think. Maybe she should just forget about the million dollars and leave here. She hadn’t transformed anyway so she could just live amongst humans again. It was clear there was no place for her here in the Grey Oak pack. It was only a matter of time before Noah would beat the shit out of her because she couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH,” she screamed loudly to let all her frustrations out. She felt a little bit better after that and started running. The burning of her lungs and feet would be a feeling she welcomed. At the moment focusing on exhaustion and pain seemed a better alternative than thinking about the mess she was in. She kept running deeper and deeper into the forest. She did not care that she probably wouldn’t be able to find her way back.
When her lungs felt like they were on fire she stopped for a little bit finding support against a tree. Her chest went up and down rapidly trying to suck in as much oxygen as possible. Her vision went blurry, and she needed to close her eyes to regain her strength. Her eyes shot open again when she heard a twig snap loudly.
Lola looked up and suddenly she was surrounded by 5 men carrying big guns. “Ow bollocks, she really couldn’t get a break, could she?”
Lola immediately knew from the way the men looked at her that she was in trouble.
“Well, well, well, look what we find here,” One of the hunters looked her up and down and continued, “She might not be what we were looking for, but I think this beauty can still make us a lot of money if we sell her to China.”
“Ow fuck,” Lola thought that could only mean 2 things she was either getting sold as an organ bag or a whore. Hell no, she would rather be shot then. She tried to run but one of the hunters immediately shot her in the leg. She fell down screaming from pain and looked at the blood gushing out from the wound. 2 of the hunters picked her up and tied her against a tree. She tried to wiggle her way out of it but it had no effect. The string just bruised her skin but did not move an inch. One of the hunters grabbed her face firmly and said, “If we want to sell her as a whore we should probably try out if she is any good first.”
Lola spat in his face, but he just laughed and wiped it off, “I like my women feisty so please keep fighting. It will only get me more determined to wreck that tight cunt of yours.”
A shiver of fear went through Lola her spine when he untied his pants and took out his swollen cock. He grabbed her hair with one hand and put his pistol against her head with his other hand. “Open your mouth you filthy slut,” he commanded.
Lola had just decided that she would bite off his cock and die with a bullet in her head when she saw a group of black wolves approach. Lola started smiling wickedly and the hunters quickly grabbed their guns and stood in a circle. Lola knew from Deborah her lessons that the Black Rain pack transformed into black wolves. If she got out of this alive, she would have to remember to thank the devil incarnate.
The wolves surrounded them and growled at the hunters, showing them their long and sharp teeth. Lola tried to ignore the pain in her leg and shouted loudly, “HELP ME! I AM NOAH GREY HIS MATE. THESE MEN SHOT ME. REVENGE YOUR ALPHA.”
The hunters looked at her wondering what kind of insane nonsense she was spilling but the wolves did not hesitate. Lola laughed wickedly when they jumped the hunters and ripped off their flesh. Her vision started to become blurrier by the second, she felt a wet wolf nose against her cheek before she passed out from the pain and blood loss.
The next thing she remembered was laying on a wolf’s back and hearing Noah his voice full of panic.
“IS SHE ALL RIGHT? PLEASE TELL ME SHE IS ALIVE. I CAN NOT LOSE HER!”
“She needs medicine but she will survive alpha Grey, ” a voice said.
She felt his hand stroke her face softly and he planted a kiss on her forehead before his voice became low and dangerous, “WHO DID THIS? BRING THEM TO ME.”
She lost consciousness again and woke up sometime later to the sound of loud screaming.
“So, you found her on accident but what were you doing there in the first place?” Noah asked angrily.
Lola recognized one of the hunter’s voices that was answering, “Some organization is giving out 10. 000-dollar rewards for anyone who can kill a wolf that is twice the size of a normal wolf.”
She heard Noah ask what organization and why, but the hunter didn’t know and lots of screaming followed until she heard a loud snap and then silence. She closed her eyes, already feeling the darkness pulling her away again. Before she drifted off, she felt someone sit next to her bed and softly stroke her hand. She knew for some reason that it was Noah and she had to admit it was nice to have someone look after her. But she also knew that she never wanted to be this helpless again. If she survived this she would work, day and night trying to transform. If she could find her wolf form no one would be able to hurt her ever again. Then the darkness caught up with her and pulled her back to sleep.
