After a busy day working at the company, Fang Hao drags his weary body back to his apartment. When he opens the door and finds the light on, a sense of belonging fills his heart. There is nothing happier for him than being accompanied by a loved girl who cares about him.
Hearing some noise, Ding Manman who has fallen asleep gets up from the sofa. The blurry-eyed girl says, “Hao, you’re back. I’ve been waiting for you for a long time until I fell asleep. Right, the food in the kitchen I’ve cooked for you probably gets cold. Go wash your hands, and let me reheat it for you.”
Looking at Fang Hao, who stands still, Ding Manman urges him once more.
Fang Hao walks towards Ding and takes her into his arms abruptly, saying, “Manman, I am so lucky to have you in my life. It’s been a long time since I had nobody waiting for me with a light on, I love you, Manman.”
Hearing this, Ding Manman smiles sweetly and says, “Well, I’ll cook for you everyday from now on. Now, I have to reheat the food and you go wash your hands quickly!”
“Okay, and I have some good news to tell you after dinner.” Fang Hao says mysteriously.
Looking at Fang Hao who keeps the secret, Ding Manman says coquettishly, “Hao, come on, just tell me, okay? Otherwise I will be distracted at dinner.”
“Nope, I’m going to give a huge surprise for you.” Fang Hao decisively refuses.
“Uh huh, okay, you hurry up.” With her words, Ding skips into the kitchen.
At the table, Ding Manman stares straight at Fang Hao, guessing what good news he has.
However, Fang Hao pretends to be mysterious, keeping the news as a secret. He teases her, and says “What? Do you think I’m too handsome? Why not eat food but keep staring at me all the time? Am I so good-looking to make you want to ‘eat’ me?”
“Huh? You are so boring, when did you become so narcissistic and… filthy!” Ding Manman says playfully.
“Manman, what are you thinking about, I meant that you “eat” me, just a bite. Who is the filthy one ?” Fang Hao laughs.
Hearing that, Ding Manman feels more embarrassed and silently eats food with her head lowered.
Looking at the shy girl, Fang smiles brightly. He is more convinced of his right choice of Ding who deserves his offering. Even if his choice will make his mother angry again, he will be motivated to work harder. Anyway, Fang Hao is sure that Ding is the one in his life.
After the meal, Fang Hao takes the initiative to wash the dishes, which pleases Ding Manman.
But she can’t stay idle. Right, prepare some fresh fruit for him.
Just do it! After a while, Ding finishes washing the fruit and sits on the sofa, waiting for him to come out of the kitchen.
Fang Hao, who finishes washing the dishes, comes out to see the cute girl and touches her little head, “Well, let me tell you now. I went to the company today to check what positions were vacant. I found someone on maternity leave, and HR hasn’t found a suitable candidate to replace him, so I recommended you to them. They took a look at your resume and finalized that you are the suitable one. They ask you start working tomorrow.”
“Wow, really, really? But it’s your company. Will your parents be unhappy if they find it out? Will this cause you a trouble?” Ding is excited and worried at the same time.
“Set your hear at rest. My parents get old and they have already handed the company over to me step by step. In fact, it was the HR department who chose you.” Fang Hao consoles her.
“Okay, I’ll work very hard and I won’t embarrass you!” Ding Manman promises him.
“Good, I believe you. Now you should wash up and go to bed early, and tomorrow take on the new job and new challenges with your brand new self.” Fang Hao encourages her.
“Yes, yes, you’re right, I’ll go now. Good night, and have a good dream!” With these words, Ding runs away.
The next day, Fang Hao is still in his sleep when he is awakened by a knock on the door.
“Fang Hao, Fang Hao, wake up, it’s time to go to work!” Ding says excitedly at the door.
Hearing this, Fang Hao cannot help looking at his watch. It is just six o’clock, and the company will start operating from eight o’clock. Actually, it only takes fifteen minutes at most to reach the company by car.
Fang Hao cannot help complaining, “Manman, it’s too early! Why do you get up so early?”
Hearing Fang’s complaint, Ding Manman, who feels slightly disgruntled, says, “I don’t want to be late because today is my first day of work and I want to arrive at the company early to leave a good impression on my new colleagues.”
Suddenly, Fang Hao doesn’t know what to say. This is Manman’s first time at work, and how could he not understand her anxiety? He says, “I’m sorry, Manman. I didn’t think of that, and I’ll get up now.”
It is unknown whether the girl outside the room accepts Fang’s apology or not. She walks away with no word left. Fang Hao realizes that his attitude at the beginning has hurt her. Manman is different from him who works in his own company and never pays much attention to the time requirements. Manman as a newcomer to the company needs to make a good impression on her predecessors to pave the way for her future work.
Thinking of this, Fang Hao hurriedly gets up, and goes downstairs. After finishing breakfast, they rush to the office.
After arrival, Fang Hao finds out that all the common employees have arrived early, probably because they were afraid of having their wages deducted for late arrival, or other reasons.
Fang Hao takes Ding to the HR department, and waits with Ding until business time.
HR manager was informed by his staff who have noticed the company’s prince sitting here waiting. At the moment of receiving the news, the sophisticated HR manager puts down all the things at hand to rush to the office.
“Mr. Fang, I’m really sorry to let you wait for me. ” HR manager’s flattering voice comes from the distance.
His voice sounds a bit unbearable. Fang Hao knits his eyebrows and says, “Actually, I am not busy now. Yesterday you said there was a vacancy, and said she meets the requirements of that position after reading her resume that I picked for you. Today she comes here, please arrange a job for her.”
After that, he is ready to go upstairs to work. Even though he doesn’t work for someone else, he still has to keep punctual.
Noticing Fang Hao who is about to leave, Ding Manman feels so anxious as to drag his hand in haste. Realizing her anxiety, Fang Hao consoles her, “It’s okay, the HR manager will take you to your workplace, and you will definitely get along with your new colleagues. I’m going to work too, you have to believe in yourself.”
Hearing these words, Ding Manman, whose heart hangs in mid-air, gets a little relaxed.
She looses her hand and lets Fang go.
HR manager has been watching them, and naturally understands their special relationship. Mr. Fang personally led Ding Manman to the office, and introduced what she is good at before leaving.
