SABRINA
Two women talked from afar, laughing and chattering to each other as they walked into a lush forest.
I accessed my appearance and I saw that I was still Sabrina in this memory. That means I’ll have to watch whatever was about to unfold.
That felt comforting. I can’t stand being in Mina’s body and watching her get killed by Cory.
The women had their backs turned against me, going further away from me as the sound of their chatterings became mild.
I picked up my pace and briskly walked towards them.
It was Mina and Eridius.
What was Mina doing with Eridius?
I thought they were not friends. The demon kings did mention that they were close in the past so was I having a memory of that?
I eyed Eridius and my body just didn’t sit well with her.
“Eridius where are we heading to?” Mina asked, pushing some strands of her hair from her face and putting them behind her ear.
“Oh the demon kings asked me to bring you to an open field. It’s not too far. We are almost there” Eridus replied with a smile.
That smile didn’t seem genuine. Some thing hid behind it.
Something was fishy. I could feel it but it seemed Mina couldn’t.
“Why do they want to see me in an open field? They could have just come to my home” Mina murmured.
“We’ve been walking for ages Eridius. I’m getting tired” she added wiping off bullet sweat beads from her forehead.
“We are almost there Mina. Do you want to disobey the demon kings orders? Remember they are your mates” Eridius urged, taking Mina by the hand.
When did Eridius become so comfortable with Mina and the demon kings being mates? If I can remember clearly, the female demon hated it and hated Mina for it too.
Where was she taking Mina too?
“Look they are there” Eridius pointed her forefinger at a huge object that was fairly far.
My eyes squinted to get a view of what held her orbs when it suddenly went wide and my heart skipped a beat the moment I realised where she was heading with Mina too.
She was taking Mina to the reapers portal.
“Mina turn back and run!” I yelled, tears welling up in my eyes for her.
She was working with her brother, Cory.
Now everything began making sense. This was the reason the demon kings sentenced her to an abyss but she instead chose to destroy her soul instead of spending her eternity there.
Mina couldn’t hear me instead she listened to Eridius as she spoke.
“Mina I know I’ve apologise before but I don’t feel like I’ve been forgiven so please I’m apologising again for everything that happened between us. You are like a sister to me and I totally understand that the demon kings picking you wasn’t your fault. I was just so blinded by my rage that I felt you backstabbed me. I’ll always support you ok” Eridius said with a plastic smile sitting on her lips.
“You don’t have to apologise please. I forgive you and I would really love it if we can put all these behind us and act like it never happened” Mina gave her doting stares.
Eridius chuckled and I hissed at her.
“Mina can’t you see she wants to kill you!?” I yelled, my voice becoming hoarse.
It was literally of no use. She couldn’t hear me and they had already approached the reapers portal.
My anxiety rose and fear created its ugly abode within me as I followed them to the entrance of the cave opening.
I want to stop this memory. I don’t want to see anymore of it.
“Where are the demon kings?” Mina asked, her eyes roving literally everywhere.
Eridius gave an uncanny smile and positioned her slender fingers to inside the cave.
“We can’t go in there. It’s dangerous. We have nothing to offer to the reapers” Mina declined the offer.
“We won’t Mina. You are literally always scared of everything” Eridius corrected her thought.
I felt relieved she wasn’t taking her inside there but then if she wasn’t, why did she point towards the entrance.
Again the thought struck me like lightening bolt. Cory.
“Run Mina. Leave here please!” I screamed. I tried holding her but my hands went through her body.
My eyes darted to my hands and I remembered I was just a passenger in this life time. They couldn’t hear me nor could they see me.
“Where are they?” Mina questioned Eridius further.
Eridius let out a cackle and I could feel Mina was getting uncomfortable.
“Oh demon kings” she said and at that moment a hysterical laughter was held echoing out of the cave.
My heart began palpitating in fear.
We both watched in horror as Cory reared his formidable self out of the cave.
“W-what’s going on?” Mina had her lips quivering, her feet gradually began moving back, retreating from the entrance of the cave.
Eridius only laughed whilst Cory loomed closer to Mina.
“Eridius! You tricked me!” Mina yelled as her eyes began to get choked up with tears.
I cried more, wailing because I already knew what was going to happen to Mina.
