Diego had been a bit drunk by now after three glasses of liquor.
He pressed one hand against his forehead, the other reaching out to touch that woman’s cheek, “You like the money?”
That woman smiled widely, “Who doesn’t? Are you rich, handsome?”
Diego only laughed, “Freeloader.”
That woman got so close that she was basically breathing against his skin, “But I won’t take your things for free. I’ll pay… Ah!”
Before she could finish the sentence, she suddenly started to scream. The woman looked over her shoulder in panic, noticing a woman clad in black was pulling her hair.
“What… What the heck are you doing?!” The woman whined.
Pamela threw that woman away from Diego, spitting, “How dare you to seduce him, slut?”
Saying that she took her drunk husband out of the bar without looking back.
Diego was so heavy against her body.
Pamela tried so hard to get him in the car. The driver was startled, “Who-who are you?”
Pamela took off her hat, “Shut up and drive back home, NOW.”
The driver seemed less scared as he started the car. Why would Mrs. Barnett dress like this in broad daylight?
“Hubby, do you feel sick?” Pamela was worried, “Do you need to throw up?”
Diego looked defeated. Pamela knew she shouldn’t feel this way, but it somehow reassured her.
Pamela massaged his back slowly, feeling a bit regretful. She wouldn’t have acted like that if she had known the consequences. Diego looked so tired because of her.
Diego grabbed her one hand, mumbling, “I miss you so much.”
Julie blushed, “Geez, honey, what are you saying? I’m right here.”
Diego sighed, turning in her arms as he left a kiss on her hand, “You don’t know how much I miss you, Cristelle.”
Pamela went frozen.
Cristelle!
So he had been taking her as that bitch!
“Cristelle? What the fuck, Diego? Open your eyes and see who I am!” Pamela shook Diego’s body, screaming like a madwoman.
Diego opened his eyes slightly, casting her a lazy glance before turning around and passing out again.
“Wake up! Wake up! Look at who I am! Diego!” Pamela screamed, “Look at me!”
Her tears rolled down her cheeks.
Why?
It had been six years. Why was he still thinking about that whore?
She swore she was gonna kill that bitch one day!
The car arrived at the mansion soon. The driver helped Diego get out of the car and walk toward the mansion. Pamela was leading the way.
Mrs. Barnett noticed them, walking out of the mansion, “What happened? Why is he so drunk?”
Pamela pulled a face, “Why would I know? I just accidentally ran into him. I don’t even know where he’s been before.”
Mrs. Barnett guessed her son must have been humiliated by Cristelle. She thus hated Cristelle even more, “You don’t know where he went? It’s all your fault. He went to clean up your mess. Get him in right now.”
Two servants came up and took Diego into his bedroom.
“That woman refused to give in no matter what. What should we do now?” Pamela asked.
Mrs. Barnett was so pissed off right now, “This thing involved too many parties. The price of our stock is still sliding. All the big houses in the city are waiting for our downfall. How could you be so careless, Pamela?”
Pamela sneered inwardly, but she managed to keep a caring face, “What if I tell you that I can make Cristelle withdraw the charge?”
Mrs. Barnett’s eyes lit up, “How?”
“You should wait and see. Our problem will be solved soon,” Pamela sounded confident.
Mrs. Barnett had her doubts, but she still wished Cristelle the worst things to fall on her. So she didn’t want to stop Pamela.
Most importantly, she had already been ready to give up on Pamela. If Pamela did anything stupid this time, she would spit her out like a piece of gum.
Pamela called Cristelle the following day,
“Hello, Cristelle, it’s me.”
Cristelle wanted to hang up the phone, but Pamela suddenly said, “Wait! Don’t you wanna know where your sister is?”
Her sister?!
Cristelle froze to the spot, her voice shaking, “You really know where she is?”
“Of course, come out to see me this evening if you want to know. But you can’t tell anyone about our meeting. Just you and me or I won’t tell you anything. If you dare to play any tricks with me, your sister will suffer. I believe you know better than anyone. Some people are still looking for her. If I tell them where she is, she’ll be doomed,” Pamela was sure Cristelle would do anything for her sister.
“How could I know if you’re telling the truth?” Cristelle was a bit suspicious.
“I just sent you a video clip. You can take a look yourself.” With that, Pamela hung up the phone.
Cristelle found that video clip instantly. After watching the whole thing, her lips went pale. Suppressing the emotion churning in her chest, she dialed Fritzi’s number, “Hello, Fritzi? Could you please come over? I need you to babysit my children for a while. I have something to deal with. It’s really important.” Cristelle begged her.
Fritzi also missed Cody. She agreed without a second thought, “No problem. I’m on my way.”
Cody looked up, and his eyes widened as he stared at his mom, “Mommy, where are you going? Can I go with you?”
Cristelle smiled, shaking her head, “Mommy’s gonna see a friend. I’ll be back really soon. You don’t need to worry.”
And then, she bent over and whispered something into Cody’s ear.
“Okay!” Cody instantly nodded after he heard her instruction.
Fritzi arrived at their apartment soon, bringing many gifts with her. The kids were thrilled to see her. But Cody feigned his happiness a little. He was still worried about his mom. He wondered who she was gonna meet.
“Cristelle? What are you gonna do right now?” Fritzi was also confused. Cristelle had changed her dress, smiling, “I’m just going out to see a friend. You guys really don’t need to worry. I’ll be back soon.”
“Okay then. Just be safe,” Fritzi uttered, voice concerned.
“Thanks. You guys have fun at home,” Cristelle said goodbye and walked out of the room.
