“But I can’t finish this story today because we don’t have enough time. Come to visit me next time if you want to know the ending, okay? Drew asked gently. Drew knew what he was doing. If he finished the story this time, the girl probably wouldn’t show up in the next session.
Candace blinked confusedly, but she still nodded in the end.
“Doctor, thank you so much.” Cristelle couldn’t express how happy she was after today’s session. Candace could finally interact with strangers. It gave her so much hope.
Drew laughed, “You’re welcome. This is just my responsibility. Remember to bring her here next time. I know you want her to get better as soon as possible. But we all need to be very patient.”
Cristelle nodded, smiling, “Of course. Thank you so much.”
Drew smiled as he walked the mother and the babies out of the office. After Cristelle and the babies walked into the elevator, the other elevator doors appeared to slide open.
Linford walked out, seeming a bit surprised as he saw Drew, “What are you doing here? Will you welcome me?”
“I just sent my patients into the elevator. Oh! By the way! I met a boy today. He looks so much like you. I would have taken him as your secret son if I didn’t know you so well,” Drew said excitedly as he recalled Cody’s face.
“Really?!” Linford arched an eyebrow,” Which boy?”
“It’s twins, actually. The boy looks exactly like you, and he even got your temper. The girl is so cute that she looks just like a doll. But, unfortunately, that little girl seems to have selective mutism.” Drew sighed, “Really… Seeing them makes me want to have my babies.”
Linford’s tone was sarcastic as he teased Drew, “You probably need to find a wife first. You’re single as fuck.”
Drew rolled his eyes, “You’re single as fuck as well. You find a wife first.”
Linford laughed.
Drew only remembered to ask now, “By the way, what are you doing in my place today?”
“Why are you asking? I’m not welcome here?” Linford uninvitedly entered his friend’s office, pouring himself a cup of coffee. Linford loved to come to visit Drew now and then, taking this place as his personal cafe. It was always nice to have a therapist to chat with you when you were bored.
Drew rolled his eyes again and followed him.

When Cristelle went to the company again, she had already been an official member of Team A. The office was extremely large and fancy compared with Team B’s.
Cristelle couldn’t stop looking around. Fritzi introduced Cristelle to her new colleagues before informing her that the company’s PD had used her design. It was pretty amazing for a newbie.
After that, Fritzi suddenly summoned her to her office. Other colleagues seemed worried as Fritzi didn’t say why she wanted Cristelle to be in her office.
It was never a good thing when Fritzi had that look on her face.
“Cristelle, I made some changes to your drafts to meet the newest trend this summer. Do you want to take a look?” Fritzi said as she handed the draft to Cristelle.
Cristelle was a designer. No designer likes to get their draft changed by another person. Cristelle was no exception. But she didn’t show any dissatisfaction. Instead, she unfolded the draft and started to check it out closely.
Fritzi changed the design of the waist and sleeves. The fabric was also changed into a modal so the hem could drape down more elegantly. The general style remained the same.
Cristelle could understand the necessity of the changes that were made, but there was still one thing she didn’t like, “Fritzi, I love the change of the sleeves, but I don’t think you should wipe out the whole design of the band. It looks empty. Besides, it doesn’t go with the general style.”
No one had ever dared to point out any flaws in Fritzi’s work. Fritzi seemed to be intrigued, “What made you think so?”
“Because my style is all refreshing and clean. Leaving the band empty will make it sexy, but it doesn’t suit the concept. I think we shouldn’t keep your idea about the band,” Cristelle didn’t hide her thoughts.
Fritzi smiled as she stood up, clapping, “No wonder they said you’re as good as Elle. You do have your own thoughts.”
So, Fritzi had just been testing her out.
Relieved, Cristelle smiled back, “Are you testing me right now, Fritzi? It’s not funny.”
Fritzi laughed, “You’re quite interesting. You’re too good to work for me. But my place is probably your best choice for now. Let’s work together, Cristelle.”
Cristelle high-fived her. She thought they had formed some kind of bond. Micky and Donny were astounded. What did Cristelle do to change Fritzi’s attitude? They had both worked for Fritzi for so long, but they hadn’t even gotten any compliments from her.
When Cristelle got out of the office, she found both Micky and Donny giving her an admiring gaze.

Meanwhile, not far from the Daicom Corporation, Pamela was staring at the news on her phone. In that photo, Linford held Cristelle in his arms, walking down the stage.
Even in that photo, Linford looked as proud as a king. Cristelle reclined in his arms, a standard damsel in distress. They looked like a perfect couple.
Pamela had thrown her phone onto the seat.
Mrs. Barnett noticed how pissed off she was, reaching out for her hand, “She’s nothing, honey. You shouldn’t be mad because of her.”
Pamela whined, “She’s such a slut. Why is she trying to seduce every man she meets?”
Mrs. Barnett sighed, “Don’t worry. I won’t let that woman have any chance to ruin your marriage with my son. To be honest, she should have died five years ago. This time, I will make her disappear for everyone’s good.”
Pamela hugged Mrs. Barnett with a smug smile on her face, “You’re always so kind to me. You’re just like my other mom.”
Mrs. Barnett patted her back gently. “What are you talking about, silly? After marrying my son, you’ll be my daughter-in-law. Of course, I’ll always treat you as my own.”
Cristelle was such a little bitch. How dare she even show up here?
Their company had been preparing for cooperation with the Daicom Corporation. Mrs. Barnett wouldn’t let anything happen to the engagement. After Pamela and Diego got married, Pamela persuaded her dad to support their business. The marriage would benefit the Barnett house so much.
