“I know I hurt him, but please, I can’t leave without completing my undone job,” she pleaded, standing up.
“You are making me restless, my princess.” Please don’t do this; Lee is yours. I might fall in love with him if he marries me.
I don’t want to take what belongs to you, nor do I want to be a burden to him,” Helen said, resting on the wall..
Princess Avalon walked closer to her.
“Please do this for me. I am certain Lee will take good care of you. You’re familiar with the majority of his actions, right? You grew up with us; after me, no girl understands him except you.
Please, I want to see him get married to a good girl, someone as pure as you are,” Princess Avalon sobbed, holding her hands.
“Princess, why are you doing this to yourself? Why are you selling out your love, the man of your dreams, to a maid like me? Why?” Helen hugged her crying.
“Do you accept?” she asked.
“Anything for you, my princess, but on one condition,” Helen said.
“What condition is that? Just tell me.” Princess Avalon asked.

“Can someone please tell me if I am making the wrong decision? Would this ever be possible?”

A knock came on her door.

She wanted to pass a call when King Aiden’s call came in. She picks it up immediately.
“This is your chance to ask for his forgiveness. Behave and don’t ruin things,” he said from the other end, and hang up.
“Lee is here,” she muttered and quickly hid his picture.
She went into the bathroom to wash her face. She arranged her hair and went toward the door.
She finally opened the door; Lee was standing there with his hand on his back.
She wanted to hug him but composed herself.
“You are welcome.” She bows her head slightly as he enters the room.
She closes the door and walks closer to him.
“Lee, why will you do that?” She asked hurriedly.
“Why not? Why will I do what?” Well, I am not here for much talk; King said you want to see me.
“Let’s talk like responsible people; I have many things to attend to,” he said, going to sit on the sofa with his legs crossed over each other.
“Okay, well, how have you been?” She asked, scratching her head, sitting a bit away from him. He scoffed.
“Do you care, well, I have been doing well of late. I think you can see that I have moved on and left those memories behind”He chuckled.
“Let’s go to the main deal. I hate people beating around the bush; be smart,” he uttered with a straight look.
“You’ve changed so much. now cold and rude. Why haven’t you been picking up my calls of late?” she asked.
“Because I have something important to do with my life, I can’t just be picking up some unnecessary calls that won’t add a little value to me.
And why will I want to pick up your calls? Why are you so full of yourself? You played with my emotions and didn’t care how I was able to make it.
You called off our marriage, and you keep calling and messaging me all the time. For what? Don’t you think I have emotions too? What’s wrong with you?” He inquired angrily.
She fumbles with her fingers.
“Lee, take a chill pill. You are yelling too much, and it doesn’t suit you. When you talked about moving on, I was relaxed, but shouting won’t do us any favors.
I know you think I am the bad person here, but won’t you guys also consider my reasons? Do you think it is so easy to back out of a marriage like that?
Well, the deal is done. I called you here to apologise for causing you pain. I am sorry. Please don’t consider me a bad person,” she said, standing up.
He also stood up and hugged her from behind.
“I know you will surely come back; I know you can’t just let go after all these years.” Thanks for coming back.
I don’t want to act coldly toward you, my love. I was being cold about the fact that I will be living the rest of my life with someone I don’t love”He said with a lot of emotions.
“Please don’t leave me again; I might die.” He uttered it, still holding her tightly.
Princess Avalon wanted the closeness more, but she just had to let go.
“Leave me alone; just because I apologise doesn’t mean I have changed my mind or want to come back to you. Please let go of me. We are each other’s pass now,” Princess Avalon uttered, and he let go.
“Are you being real? You don’t want to come back to me. Then why do you invite me over here, why?” He breaks down.
“I am sorry, but I called you here to know if you are happy with this marriage. And I also want to be of help, even if this is the last thing I can do to see you happy,” she said without looking at him.
“Can you say that to my eyes? Just face me, look into my eyes, and say you are happy because I will be getting married to a total stranger that I know nothing about?”
I can’t be happy with another woman. Please, we still have time. Let’s get back together,” Lee begged with his hands folded together.
“I can’t see through your pains again. I am not the Avalon you know very well; she now behaves like a princess.
You know very well that Avalon will never take royalty seriously. But now she realises she’s royal and has become so selfish.

Lee stopped and walked towards her.
“You want that from me, right?” he asked, bending to her level.
“Yes, just this last time, let me get involved in your life,” she cried.
“Okay, I agreed that I would get married to her, but you also have to do something in return.
You know nothing comes for free, my dear. I want you, but you said it was over. So before I can listen to my ex, she needs to promise me something in return,” he uttered back to his cold self.
“What is that?”She asked.
“Bring your ear closer,” he said with a grin played by the corner of his mouth. She brought her ear closer to him.
He whispered something and kissed her cheek.
“No, Lee You can’t do this. Have you changed that much?” She asked, weeping.
“Have you changed that much? Didn’t you change, too?
We both change. When you are ready to do what is asked of you, call me. I will make arrangements.
Have you changed that much? “He mimicked going towards the door.
Princess Avalon couldn’t stop glaring at him.
“Don’t glare too much; you might fall in love again. Simply follow my instructions. I will be waiting for Princess Avalon.
You and I have learned to know that royalty is a game that is to be played diligently.

He makes his way towards the exit.
“Nooooooo,” Princess Avalon shouted.

Queen Dylan walked in.
“How are you, my lovely sister-in-law?” Why do you look so restless? Awww! This poor girl needs assistance. That’s fine; we’ve been released.

That’s the game of royalty,” Queen Avalon exclaimed, laughing heartily.
She bent to her level and laughed.
“Hey, leave my friend alone; how dare you make her cry?” Twinkle barged in and pushed her to the floor.
“You, how dare you?” Queen Dylan tries to set fire to her, but Princess Avalon prevents it.
“I’m not going to let you hurt her. What do you think of yourself?” She yelled and stood up.
“Since you are here, savior, I won’t leave without a fight. I will set her right.” Queen Dylan controlled the sword on Avalon’s table and directed it to Twinkle.
“No,” Princess Avalon pushed her and took the sword for her.
