“How’s father?” Jayden asked and the doctor smile at him. “He is fine for now, but we need to carry out Operation on him before it’s too late, it’s a good thing you brought him fast, he has only three days” The doctor said.
“How much will I pay for the operation?” Jayden asked.
“Relax, Mr Smith money isn’t the problem, I am your family doctor, but his chance of survival is fifty fifty because the poison he consumed is very deadly. and he consumed too much of it, you should be thankful you bring him here in time,” The doctor said.
“What’s the next thing now?” Jayden asked. “You need to sign some documents, and we also need blood, the poison have been drying his blood little by little” the doctor said.
“I can donate blood for him, where are the documents?” Jayden asked. “Let’s go to my office, you need to sign the documents first” the doctor said.
“Can I come with you guys?” Jayson asked. “No you aren’t needed” Jayden replied and walked to the doctor office. “I don’t blame him though, Pamela is a bàstard, how could she be selfîsh to the extent of making people around her suffer? That lady doesn’t deserve to live, she deserves death, I wish I can just kîll her myself, why will the devil give birth to me? God this is unfair to me” Jayson said and his phone ring out loud.
“Vera” Jayson said. “Hope you’re fine?” Vera asked. “Yes, I am, where are you guys?” Jayson replied. “We are outside the Smith mansion alone” Vera replied.
“You guys should go book room in a nearest hotel, I will join you guys soon” Jayson said.
“Hope you’re fine? And how’s Mr Smith?” Vera asked. “I’m not fine, how can I be fine when my mother is the caused of everything?” Jayson asked.
“Common, you don’t have to blame yourself, I believe everything will be fine” Vera said. “Okay I will get back to you”Jayson said. “Alright, take care of yourself” Vera replied and end the call. “What did he say? His he crying? Poor man he must be crying by now, his mother is so cruel” Steve said and Vera smile at him.
“He isn’t crying, he asked us to book room in nearest hotel” Vera said and Steve smile at her. “I guess he’s fine, let’s go!” Steve said and they both walked out.
KAREN P. O. V
“So what are we cooking?” I asked and placed my hand on my waist and mum does some thinking. “Let’s cook porridge” mum replied, I really missed her porridge a lot, she’s the best cook.
“Miss Aurora your phone is ringing” Mum said and we both burst into laughter. “Who’s calling?” I asked cleaning my hand with napkin. Sky support should be here, after all he is a chef, let me see what he’s capable of doing. “Your second Mum” Mum replied with a smile. I collected the phone from het and swipe on the answer button.
“Mum” I called with a smile. “Hope your mum won’t be angry that you’re calling another woman your mother?” Mrs Wilson asked and I smile. “My mum isn’t a Jèàlóûs freak” I replied and she chuckled. “It’s a good thing, that she’s not like me,” she said and I burst into laughter. “I don’t understand” I replied. “I am always Jèàlóûs, anyway I called to check on you, hope you’re fine?” She asked.
“Yes I am fine mum” I replied. “I can hear it from your voice, talk to you later” she said and end the call, she doesn’t even wait for me to say bye bye. Why’s she in a hurry?. “Where’s your face like that? Did something bad happen to her?” Mum asked with a frown.
“No, she doesn’t even wait for me to say goodbye” I pout and Mum hissed out loud. “I was scared I thought something bad happen to her, I need to visit Mrs Smith today because I am handing her over to the cops tomorrow” Mum said and I smile. I trust mum jubgement, I know what she can do. “I will go with you” I said. “No you can’t go with me, stay in the house with your brother” Mum replied.
“Mum!” I suddenly called, because there’s something on my mind I wanna discuss with her. “Daughter” she replied and I smile.
“I wanna ask you something” I said with a smile. “I’m listening Miss Aurora” she replied and I chuckled.
“Don’t you think Doctor Max love you?” I asked and she covered my mouth with her hand. “What are you saying?” She whispered and rushed to check if doctor Max doesn’t hear me. I removed her hand from my mouth and hissed out loud.
“Look” I said pointing at Doctor Max and Steve, they look happy together, they look like father and son. “Don’t you like that like that? Don’t you want us to have another father?” I asked. “Huh? Did you guys want s father?” Mum asked and I quickly nod my head.
“I don’t think Doctor Max love me, he was only helping us with no string attach” Mum said, she’s so blind to see the red flag. “Anyway, I will find out if Doctor Max love you or not, leave that to me” I said.
“You should be thinking on how to get married to Jayden, not how I will get married to someone I don’t love” Mum replied. “Alright ma” there’s no point arguing with her, I know what to do.
Some minutes later.
“Food is ready!” I said and set the food on the dinning. “What took you so long? You used a whole fifteen minutes to prepare porridge, something I can do for five minutes, you are just too lazy Karen” Sky said and I scoff.
He hasn’t changed a bit. “You should badd some respect to my name, I am fûcking a celebrity” I said. “Yeah, my daughter is a celebrity you should respect her” Mum supported and my smirk grow wider. “Mum you have started again” be said and frown his face. I guess he feels like crying now.
“Don’t mind them, you are also a big guy, my future doctor in making” doctor Max said and I scoff. “Future doctor? Hope you know, I am not upcoming” I said. “You’re bragging too much” he scoff. “Let me brag, baby brother” I replied him and he scoff. “I am not your baby, you can’t give birth to me” he replied and Derrick rushed inside the house.
“Karen! You’re Karen” he shouted and hug me happily. How did he know I am Karen? “Don’t try to pretend! Karen how come? How did you do it?” He asked still smiling. His phone ring out loud and he picked it up immediately. He take it closer to his ear and his mood changed from good to bad immediately. What happened to him? What did the caller tell him?
