Chapter 295

Book:If Loving You Is Wrong Published:2024-5-29

Emma Rosy swept her eyes at the empty cell phone screen, directly got up and left.
She really wanted to escape to her home, huddle under the covers, sleep until morning, and tell herself it was just a dream.
But when she turned around, she saw a man sitting on a bench by the street.
The man seemed to have been watching her, and after meeting each other, he smiled and walked towards her.
She tilted her head, and then darted away from her face, trying to hide the raging tears.
“Don’t cry, let’s go to the beach and blow off some steam, okay?” The man handed over tissues, his tone gentle.
Emma Rosy has already stopped crying and is squeezing a can of beer in her hand, there is no point in hiding it any longer, so she simply said frankly: “I have a date with Alex Brown today, you should have guessed it, right? I was going to invite him to dinner to thank him for giving up the material, but I didn’t know that I was stood up. In fact, in my heart …”
“Emma.”
It is true that he wanted to use this matter to make her realize the reality, but Charles Taylor finally could not bear it.
“Hear me out. The past, good or bad, must be faced.” Emma Rosy hooked her lips and smiled.
“I still have Alex Brown in my heart,” she said softly, “and I never believed his memory loss story, I just couldn’t break it down.”
Whether Alex Brown had memory loss or not, Charles Taylor didn’t dare to assert, but the act of voluntarily giving up the material did make him suspicious. Since Emma Rosy has been bothered by this, he might as well investigate on her behalf, no matter what the result is, it will release her mind.
After returning from the beach, it rained for two days in a row, and as if to match Emma Rosy’s mood, the cloudy sky finally cleared up on the third day.
“At midnight last night, Eva emailed to say she was ready to leave and come back.” Master Wood dropped a black piece and sipped his tea leisurely.
Master Wright pondered, and casually responded, “Oh? That was faster than expected.”
“It’s mostly because I’ve been freeloading at your place for too long and I’m a little embarrassed.”
“It’s rare …” Master Wright let out a long sigh.
“Rarely what?” Master Wood raised his eyebrows, his face unkind: “I always come to rules, never take advantage of people.”
“Don’t worry about it, I mean it’s rare for Eva to have time free, and as we all know, that’s a busy man.”
“Hmph, I’m mad at the mention of it. How many times have I told her to keep in mind the time difference between They countries and not to disturb my rest in the middle of the night, but the girl never listens!”
Master Wood was so angry that he slapped his hand on the board, and Master Wright didn’t say a word as he squeezed the white piece that would determine the winner.
The rest of the players were not surprised by Master Wood’s rascal ways, but what really shocked them was the identity of his disciple Eva, and the fact that she had the same name as Eva Taylor.
Emma Rosy was called by Master Wood for a walk in the back garden and learned that Eva’s flight was arriving this afternoon and that she had to pick it up herself.
“Of course I should pick up the plane, but would it be too slight for me to be the only one?” As expected, Charles Taylor and Joe Wright would go with her, and even Eva Taylor was going to join in the fun.
And then there was Hope, who was busy studying for her exams lately and locked herself into her study every day when she got home, barely seeing anyone except at mealtime, and she wanted to take her out for fun.
“Why don’t you bring all the staff of Wright Group and Taylor Group, better organize a sightseeing tour, or I’ll inform Eva now and let her learn a temporary performance?” Master Wood lectured in a bad mood.
After lunch, Emma Rosy took Hope, the only one allowed to go with her, to the airport by car.
The flight provided by Master Wood landed at 3:00 p. m. Mother and daughter sat in the airport lobby, from initial excitement and anticipation, to relaxing and chatting, to snuggling with each other and falling asleep, but Eva was nowhere to be seen.
Hope was afraid she had missed it and urged Emma Rosy to call and ask, but Emma Rosy was all calm and pulled her to the desk to ask which other flight was available that day.
“There are no more flights arriving today from the location you mentioned, the nearest one is tomorrow at 3am.” The staff replied with a professional smile.
Just twelve hours ahead of schedule, so she guess it’s another test!
When Master Wood agreed to cooperate, she was reminded to find a way to convince Eva herself.
During the morning walk in the back garden, she wondered why Master Wood was suddenly willing to tell her Eva’s whereabouts, and also “kindly” gave her the pick-up qualification.
Since it was a test, no matter how childish and odd, she had to accept it.
After sending Hope away, she went back to the lounge area and sent off one group of passengers after another, finally until 3:00 am.
After the radio went off, she was the only one left at the pick-up gate. Her eyes searched through the yawning passengers, and finally, a tall, thin figure came into view.
Black clothes and pants, seasonal men’s backpack, approaching and shoving the bag directly into her arms, jaw slightly raised: “Emma Rosy?”
Emma Rosy was caught off guard by the backpack, which probably weighed ten pounds, and only after it was slung over her shoulder did she extend her hand with a smile: “Yes, you can call me Emma. … You must be Miss Eva, I’ve heard Master Wood talking about you …”
Eva looks Emma Rosy up and down, good-looking, can wait until now, proves that she is patient and sincere, and most importantly, not stupid. The only thing wrong with her is that she talks too much.
“Come on, I’m not necessarily older than you, don’t call me Miss, it sounds awkward.”
She interrupted her enthusiastic chat, Eva raised her step and walked outside, suddenly thought of something, and then turned around, shaking her index finger in mid-air: “Besides, it must be that old, disrespectful guy who told you I’m “Miss”, right? You can’t call me that in the future, it’s so ugly.”
Uh …
Emma Rosy nodded half-heartedly, thinking that this pair of master and disciple really have the same personality, the future of the old mansion may be more lively!
At five o’clock in the morning, a villa in the city center.
Cameron Hunter, half asleep, reached out from under the covers to the other side of the bed and found a cold palm.
“Olivia?”
Rolling over and rubbing his eyes, he saw a blurry silhouette standing in front of the window.
Marisa Darcyturned her head and smiled softly, “Awake?”
Cameron Hunter frowned, feeling a little strange.
Olivia always smiled subtly in front of him, never so flirtatious, and this look, why he did not feel the slightest love, but rather a kind of cunning flavor.
“Who are you?!” He sat up sharply and questioned in a stern voice.
Marisa Darcywalked to the bed in an enchanting manner, leaned down, propped her hands on the bed, smiled and looked at him: “My identity, Mr. Hunter has not guessed?”
Yesterday evening, Marisa Darcyreplaced Olivia Bush to accompany Cameron Hunter social entertainment, who knew that Cameron Hunter drank some wine and refused to let go for a moment, Marisa Darcyhad to go home with him, and refused his advances on the grounds of “not feeling well”.
He didn’t say anything at the time, but Marisa Darcyknew she was exposed, and today she was waiting for either a more urgent investigation or a direct revelation. So she preemptively attacked him.
As the drama came to an end, Cameron Hunter didn’t have to pretend anymore, and his face turned grim.
“Marisa Miller, what is your purpose in controlling Olivia’s approach to me? Do you understand that one phone call from me and you’ll spend the rest of your life in prison?”
It’s true that she was involved in several murders, and although she had absconded for two years, all the evidence from the beginning may have disappeared, but Alex Brown and Emma Rosy and others will definitely do everything they can to deal with her when they know she has resurfaced.
But there was one thing that she wondered about.
