She had just finished her homework and came downstairs to the kitchen for a drink of water. The kitchen window faced the back garden, and she heard all of Joe Wright and Emma Rosy’s conversation.
Hope has always had a maturity that is not in keeping with her age, and Joe Wright was not surprised to hear this, but was relieved to be spared an explanation.
He hadn’t seen his niece in a long time, and when he looked at her, she seemed thinner than before, standing in the glowing white light of the wall lamp, as if she was malnourished.
“What have you been up to lately, sleeping so late every day?” Joe Wright asked casually as he walked upstairs.
With a final glance at Emma Rosy, Hope followed his lead and said seriously, “I’m thinking of skipping a grade.”
The class teacher suggested skipping a grade, she only discussed with Emma Rosy, Joe Wright did not know about it, the first time he heard it, it is inevitably a little confused.
“Have you made up your mind?”
Hope pursed her lips, not fully sure of the matter, she can not make a decision at the moment.
Perhaps sensing her hesitation, Joe Wright thought for a moment, then stopped and turned to face her: “If this is what you want to do, then go ahead and do it, anyway, with the Wright Family backing you up, even if you fail the test, it’s okay, start over.”
After a pause, he suddenly curved his narrow eyes and said with a smile, “But my niece is smart and hardworking, she can definitely succeed in one go!”
When she came back from her trip, she should have gotten back to work immediately, but she was delayed for a few days due to the injury of Alex Brown.
Coincidentally, shortly after sitting in her office, her secretary reported an important piece of news.
The Brown Group’s collection project had been officially opened to the public, with one of the most powerful companies in the country, and if it went well, construction would begin in two weeks.
Knowing this news, Emma Rosy was not as angry as before, but relieved.
It was only one project, and it didn’t matter if she lost to Alex Brown, as long as he was okay, she could rest easy.
“What about the Taylor Group, any new developments?” In the past few days, Charles Taylor had been handling all the projects between They companies, and she had never asked about them.
“There isn’t much progress.”
The secretary opened the folder and was about to show her the daily progress report from Taylor Group, when Charles Taylor’s call came first.
Emma Rosy lifted her jaw slightly, gestured for the secretary to leave, and then answered the phone.
“Emma, where are you?”
Charles Taylor’s tone was so serious that her heart inexplicably jumped and she became serious: “At the office. What’s going on?”
“I’ve just learned of a quality problem with a batch of materials to be used in the project, and I don’t know who leaked the information, but it has already reached the press.”
This project has had a lot of bad luck, first there was a fatal case, and before it was solved, there was a material problem. There are already a lot of rumors in the outside world, if the media expose this matter again, I am afraid it will cause incalculable damage.
“I will immediately order to activate the emergency public relations.” Emma Rosy said in a deep voice.
“Taylor Group has also activated its PR response.” Charles Taylor tilted his head, shrugged his shoulders and clamped his phone, quickly flipping through the information on his desk, “From the information currently collected, there is only one material company that may have the stock we need, I’ll send you the specific information right away, and you try to negotiate.”
The situation was imminent and Emma Rosy, knowing that Charles Taylor was more experienced and capable, subconsciously followed his footsteps.
She simply responded before wondering, “What else do you have planned?” If she was right, Charles Taylor must have a heavier task on his shoulders than she did.
“I’ve had several appointments with professional consultants and have agreed that we need to complete the overall planning of the project before we can meet our immediate needs. I have just selected a master designer to complete the design in the shortest possible time, and we have the master’s reputation to deal with the media onslaught.”
Emma Rosy nodded slowly, not responding for a while: “So… we just need to pay a high price and hire a designer?”
“It’s not that simple.”
A rustling sound came from the earpiece, it seems Charles Taylor is wearing a suit jacket: “This master was once famous overseas for his unique design concept, but his brilliance is like a flash in the pan, only participated in two international design competitions, then disappeared, even the media are not sure where he is.”
“So your idea is to go and find that master now? Emma Rosy asked incredulously.
“That’s right. I have contacted Master Wright and he will use his contacts in the industry to help me, but what the details will be, cannot be predicted for now.” Charles Taylor grabbed his car keys and walked out the door quickly, hurriedly saying, “You go contact the material dealer, leave the rest to me, don’t worry.”
In such a critical moment, is it worthwhile to search for a design master who has been reclusive for years? Why waste time on an unknown outcome when there is a sea of quality designers, or up-and-comers who can be boldly employed?
Emma Rosy tried to persuade Charles Taylor, but he hung up just as she was about to speak.
She had no choice but to contact the material company first, and to save time, she threw in a price above the market price, with the intention of buying the materials she needed immediately and then going to assist Charles Taylor.
Who knows that the material company only threw her a sentence – there is no price for the goods.
