Judi Dench felt his reassurance and her hand slowly tugged at his lapel.
She wasn’t worried about Alex Roberts’ safety, but about Emma Richard’s sadness when she found out about it.
Time passed little by little, and the lights in the operating room finally went out.
“Doctor, how is he doing?” Judi Dench still had a nervous look on her face, anxious to learn about Alex Roberts’ condition.
“The situation has been stabilized for the time being, due to the impact on the patient’s head, it may leave after-effects, but it is still impossible to say, it needs to be observed later.”
Judi Dench looked at the man lying in the hospital bed, and inexplicably felt some pity for him.
He seemed to be by himself, if he had someone with him, the secretary would not have called her for this matter.
Judi Dench wanted to tell Emma Richard about this, but was afraid it would affect her work, so she could only suppress it for now.
Alex Roberts had been in a coma for two days, and Emma Richard didn’t see him “bothering” her anymore, so she thought he had gone home because he didn’t find the place interesting, and tried to keep her mind on the patients.
The news of Alex Roberts’ accident reached Marisa’s ears when he was transferred to the hospital.
The news surprised her with a hint of concern.
The smell of hospital sterile water filled Marisa’s nostrils, and based on the information she had received, she easily found Alex Roberts’ room.
She saw that no one was there and pushed the door in.
Alex Roberts lay quietly in his hospital bed, his face still bruised.
His condition fell into Marisa’s eyes, and she slowly walked to the bed, her hand caressing Alex Roberts’ cheek.
“Alex , I’ve come to see you.” Her voice was soft, a cautious look, as if she was touching a doll that was going to break at any moment.
Seeing that Alex Roberts did not wake up, she slowly sat down, her eyes showing a glimpse of greed.
At that moment, Marisa heard a sound of talking coming from outside the door.
She hurriedly stood up and left the place.
“Hey, that …” Judi Dench had just gone to check in Alex Roberts with Kevin Armstrong and came back to see the figure walking out.
“What’s up?” Kevin Armstrong had just been so focused on her that he didn’t care that someone was coming out of Alex Roberts’ hospital room.
Seeing Judi Dench’s tightly furrowed brow, he followed her gaze forward and didn’t notice anything different.
“Maybe I’m just looking at it wrong.” Still some distance away from the ward, Judi Dench put her suspicions behind her, but something still didn’t feel right.
“Nurse, what’s his condition now?” By the time they got to the ward, they saw a nurse examining something at Alex Roberts’ bed.
Judi Dench placed the object in her hand on the table, and a look of concern appeared on her face.
“The patient is recovering quite well, and will probably wake up in less than a day.” The nurse turned around and walked towards the door after telling the general situation.
At that moment, Judi Dench’s cell phone rang, she took it out in a frenzy and hurried out of the ward.
“Hello, what is it, Emma?” Judi Dench answered the phone and heard a loud noise on the other side, which made her frown slightly.
And once the signal was stable, Emma Richard’s first question was to ask Judi Dench if something was wrong.
“I’m fine.” Judi Dench smiled, only to hear her worried tone, which made her a little puzzled, “What’s going on?”
But after hearing her say that nothing was wrong, the caller said a couple of words and then hung up in a hurry.
Judi Dench looked at the hung up phone and fell into a deep thought, Kevin Armstrong walked out and saw her dazed and came up behind her.
“What’s wrong?”
Kevin Armstrong’s voice snapped back to her thoughts.
Judi Dench turned to see the man standing there and a complex emotion appeared on her face, “Emma called me just now and revealed a rush between her words, I always felt something had happened to her.”
Kevin Armstrong reached out and ran his hand through her hair, “Or something was going on with her at the time.”
Judi Dench knew he was reassuring herself, but still sighed slightly, “I’m still not sure and want to go check.”
“I’ll go with you.” Kevin Armstrong made a decision, Judi Dench listened but shook her head.
“No, Mr. Roberts here to stay a person.”
“But I’m worried about you …” her refusal made Kevin Armstrong frown.
While the two were torn, Judi Dench’s cell phone rang again.
“Hello?”
“Have you found Mr. Roberts?”
“Mr. Roberts needs someone here and I need to go away for a while.”
After hearing her words, the secretary’s heart “thumped”, hastily agreed, and then rushed to the hospital.
Judi Dench waited until the secretary had arrived and then rushed to Emma Richard’s side.
Meanwhile, Emma Richard was being treated when there was a sudden panic outside.
“What’s going on?” Emma Richard pulled in a passerby to find out what was going on.
“Dr. Richard, you don’t know, there is a patient who needs surgery today, but he is bleeding heavily in the middle of the operation, the blood bank has no matching blood source, and the family is making trouble.”
“Sister, should we go and see if we can help in any way?” Dolores Cotillard’s eyes kept looking over to the emergency room.
Emma Richard didn’t want to go to this mess, but went anyway.
When the two arrived at the emergency room, Emma Richard was surprised by the scene in front of her.
The patient’s family was cursing in front of her, and the profanity that came out of her mouth refreshed Emma Richard’s perspective.
It was then that she realized that such a family really existed.
“What is the patient’s condition?”
The nurse standing by the side heard her ask and hurriedly replied, “If we can get a blood transfusion, we can get through it safely, but there is no one on the scene with the right blood type.”
“What blood type is the patient?” Emma Richard’s eyes sank, and a serious look appeared on her face. When she heard the little nurse say the patient’s blood type, it happened to be the same as hers, and she decisively went into the blood drawing room.
By the time Emma Richard came out of the blood draw room there was no trace of blood on her face.
“Are you okay, sis?” Dolores Cotillard saw her come out and hurriedly reached out to support her with a worried look on her face.
Emma Richard shook her head to say she was fine.
But before she could say anything, she felt a little dizzy.
Emma Richard reached out and pressed her forehead, trying to keep herself steady.
“Let me help you to rest sis.” Dolores Cotillard sensed the difference in her and didn’t dare to let go of her hand for fear she would collapse without her support.
As the patient’s condition improved, the noise finally ended.
At the end of Emma Richard’s shift, just after leaving the health center, she saw a familiar figure standing there.
