Chapter 60
” Dad! Dad, are you in there? ” Ryan’s little voice came from the door.
” Yeah, what’d you want? ” Bruce asked.
” Are you okay! ” Ryan asked instead.
” Yeah, I’m fine, go to sleep, it’s late ” Bruce responded.
” Can I see you first? I also don’t want to sleep alone, could I sleep with you? ” Ryan’s scared little voice came out again.
Bruce sighed seeing Ryan wouldn’t give up, he walked over to the door and twisted the door knob, opening the door and Ryan stepped in.
” Dad, I’m sorry ” Ryan said worriedly as they both sat on Bruce’s bed.
” It’s fine, it’s not your fault ” Bruce responded with a forced little smile.
” Dad, so what are you going to do now? ” Ryan asked.
” You don’t have to worry, I will sort that out myself ” Bruce said.
” Let’s go to sleep now ” He added and Ryan obeyed, and they both went to sleep.
** Next Morning **
” You’re really not going to deny it!? ” Bruce snapped angrily and at the same time, brokenly.
Ella sighed angrily and turned to him. ” Shouldn’t you be glad you found out before I ripped you off your company, and you should be glad you found out before we ever got married, and you should be glad I’m leaving and not denying this ” She said with a tiny smirk and mocking smile before resuming to packing her stuffs.
Bruce sighed frustratedly as he landed on the bed, and he buried his head in his palm.
He raised his head up again revealing his already red eye which shows he was about to break down.
” Why? Why did you do this? Why did you play me like a fool? Why did you act like you loved me for years? Why!? ” Bruce yelled and the tears finally fell from his eyes.
Ella chuckled mockingly. ” At first, I thought it was love but then I found out it was lust, I wanted nothing but your di*ck and then I realized how rich and wealthy you were and how it could benefit me a lot, so I decided to play along hoping one day I would get to share in your wealth and tho it seems like it ain’t happening but at least I have a kid of yours and I remain the mother of your kid and that means even if I don’t get out of your wealth, my kid is going to get it and guess what, the kid’s mine ” She said with a satisfying smirk.
” And I’m tired, tired of you. I should move with my man, he’s been holding on for so long, oh my sweet man ” She said, licking her fingers and then releasing an evil chuckle and Bruce could only watch unbelievably wondering if all of it was a dream, if she would tell him it was all a joke, but none of that was happening, it’s real.
How the hell did he fall so deep for her that he didn’t even realize he was getting played! How!!? He wanted to scream his lungs out, scream to the whole world how foolish and gullible he was.
He could only watch as Ella packed every of her stuffs and some guards helped her take them to the car outside.
” And.. I’m done ” She said picking up her phone from the bedside drawer and inserting it inside her pant’s pocket.
” And yeah, I’m taking my son ” She said and Bruce’s left brow raised.
” No, you’re not ” He said sternly, like he suddenly snapped back to his senses.
Ella was taken aback for a while at how fast he switched emotions.
” I’m taking him, Bruce! I am taking him! ” She said sternly and turned to the door’s direction to go to Ryan’s room but stopped on her tracks when she saw Ryan standing by the door with little tears on his face.
He shook his head slowly. ” I’m not.. I don’t wanna go with you ” He said, as tears rolled down his cheeks.
It hurts him to see his mom act this way, he was hurting so bad. His family was breaking right before him. Was he wrong to have informed his dad about his mom’s behavior? Was he?
” Yes you are! ” Ella said and stretched her hands to take him but Henri stood before him, blocking him.
” I will be back for you Ryan! I will! If this means going to court! Humph! ” She said and stormed out of Bruce’s room.
” Mom.. ” Ryan cried and walked slowly after her whole Henri followed behind him and they both walked as Ella stormed away down the stairs.
Ella stopped on her tracks when she saw them. Lyra and her kids, including Tia, standing right in the sitting room.
They must have been listening to their fights, since they were loud.
Ella scoffed as she descended the stairs and then stormed out the house without passing them a glance.
Tia and Lyra could only watch as she left.
” Ryan ” The twins called slowly and pitifully when they saw Ryan descending the stairs slowly with Henri behind him.
” Myles, Miley, aunt Tia, Miss Lyra ” Ryan called slowly and rushed over to hug Lyra who hugged him back and Ryan broke into another round of tears in her arms.
” It’s okay, you’ll be fine ” Lyra rubbed his back comforting in.
Ryan broke away from the hug with teary face and hiccuping.
” Why are you here? ” He asked slowly.
” We came to pick you up, we didn’t know it was a bad time ” Tia answered him and Ryan nodded slowly, still hiccuping.
” It’s fine, stop crying ” Miley hugged him and he hugged her back.
Myles also did the same and Ryan smiled lightly.
” Thanks Miss Lyra.. but. I don’t wanna leave with you now, I want to stay with my dad. He’s not okay, I want to stay with him till he’s fine ” Ryan said slowly and Lyra smiled lightly.
” Yeah you should do that, it’s fine. And anytime you’re ready, tell your dad to call me okay? We will come pick you up ” Lyra said with a little smile and Ryan nodded before hugging her again.
” Thanks ” Ryan muttered.
* Later That Evening *
” I feel bad for that poor kid ” Tia muttered and Lyra nodded.
” Same here ” She said.
” I feel bad for Bruce too tho I shouldn’t but still.. Ella did him really bad. He was too in love with her to notice ” Tia said and Lyra paused for a while before nodding.
” Yeah ” She said and then continued with what she was doing.
” But do you think she will forcefully pull Ryan in her custody? ” Tia asked and Lyra shook her head.
” Even if she tries, it’s not possible, she’s no match for Bruce and also, it depends on whom Ryan wanna stay with. I don’t think he would wanna live with his mom ” Lyra said and Tia nodded slowly as she thought about it.
” So?.. ” Tia trailed off and Lyra raised her brows.
” You said you were going to give me the full details, of what happened.. that night ” Tia said with a playful smirk.
” What night? ” Lyra asked confusedly.
” The first night with Bryan, that produced the twins ” Tia said with an eye roll and Lyra went silent for a while.
” I explained what happened to you ” She said, returning her gaze back to her phone.
” I know, but you didn’t give the full details. What made you go to the bar to drink in the first place? Why? And what made you sleep with a stranger? I didn’t think you would do that even if you weren’t in your right mind ” Tia said, making Lyra go silent and confused for a while.
” I.. I guess I must have been really drunk then, cause I really don’t remember the details ” She said and Tia raised her brows.
” What exactly do you not remember? How you slept with him or how you went to the club or you don’t even remember any? ” Tia asked.
” I don’t remember any ” Lyra responded and at the same time confused.
She doesn’t really remember anything that happened anymore. But didn’t she remember that day at the hospital when she explained to them?
” Wait, do you even remember going to the club? ” Tia asked and Lyra shook her head.
” I don’t anymore ” She replied truthfully making Tia go confused as hell.
** Bruce’s Mansion **
” Really? She was here? When? ” Bruce asked with a raised brow.
” She came here the exact time Miss Ella was here, but Ryan refused to go with her ” Henri responded and Bruce turned his face to Ryan who placed a little smile on.
” It’s fine, I just want to stay with you for now, till you get better ” Ryan muttered.
” I’m fine Ryan, there’s nothing wrong with me ” Bruce responded.
” I know, I just don’t want you to be alone since mom’s no longer here ” Ryan said again.
” But Henri is here and I.. ”
” I think you should let him stay with us till we’ve settled things on whom he will be living with. Miss Ella could go take Ryan from Miss Lyra and you know there could be nothing she could do about it ” Henri cut in.
