Chapter 58
Bruce raised his brows trying so hard to understand if his son really knows what’s he talking about and how true it is.
” You sure? ” Bruce asked and Ryan nodded slowly.
Bruce smiled lightly at his son and patted her hair slowly.
” We will deal with that tomorrow, but for now let’s get to sleep. Come sleep on my chest ” He said, dropping his laptop after switching it off on the bedside drawer.
” Aren’t you busy? ” Ryan asked.
” Not anymore. Let’s get to sleep ” He said and Ryan smiled excitedly as his dad laid on the bed and he laid on his chest and Bruce covered them with the duvet.
* Next Day *
* Ford’s Enterprise *
* Bruce’s Office *
Ryan had a very big smile on his face as he jumped on his dad’s bed in the inner room of his dad’s office.
” It’s my first time here. I’m so happy ” He jumped up the more, bouncing on the bed and Henri chuckled before returning his gaze back to the laptop he was working on.
Some minutes later, Bruce walked into the inner room looking all tired and stressed out.
” They left already? ” Henri asked and he nodded.
” So, you done? ” Bruce asked and he nodded.
” Yeah, still trying to find the right video ” He mumbled.
” What is it we’re looking for exactly? ” Bruce asked Ryan and he raised his brows confusedly.
” A video? ” He replied unsurely.
” Yeah I know. A video of what? What happened in the video? ” Bruce asked, trying to break it down for the little boy to understand.
” A video of mom and a man hugging, I guess ” Ryan muttered and Bruce raised his brows.
” Hugging? ” Henri beat Bruce to asking.
” Yeah ” Ryan nodded slowly.
” You mean this? ” Henri asked as he stretched his laptop over to Bruce to show Ryan. It was a video of Ella hugging a man whose back was only shown.
” Yes.. this ” Ryan nodded and Bruce sighed while he exchanged glances with Henri.
” Ryan.. that’s normal. It’s normal for your mom to hug another person, they could be business partners and this doesn’t prove that your mom doesn’t love me or you. If it’s because of how she’s acting this days, I promise we will settle it. Don’t think about stuffs like this.. and if it’s about making me talk to Lyra to make you live with her, I will.. you don’t have to do stuffs like this ” Bruce said with a frustrated sigh before look away from Ryan and telling Henri to to shut the laptop.
” Don’t… Don’t talk to Miss Lyra until I prove to you really that mom’s meeting with a man. Does kissing another man also means they’re just business partners?.. ” He asked and the two turned to him at once.
” She kissed a man? ”
” Are you sure about what you’re saying? ”
Bruce and Henri asked simultaneously.
” You don’t have to believe me. I will prove it. But now I want to go home, you two are boring ” He muttered, yawning tiredly.
” But before then, I need something from you dad ” He said and Bruce raised his brows.
** Next Day **
” Just take him along Ella ” Bruce said, frustratedly as Ryan kept bothering him.
” Bruce I can’t, I’m meeting with.. ”
” Ryan, go get dressed. She’s taking you along ” Bruce said and Ryan jumped up happily before rushing out of the room to get dressed.
” Bruce! ” Ella snapped angrily.
” I couldn’t help it, he has been bothering me too much about it. And come on you promised two days ago ” Bruce muttered and Ella sighed defeatedly.
” Yeah whatever ” Ella scoffed.
** At A Hotel **
” Your phone? ” Ella asked with a scoff as they were about entering the hotel and Ryan was confused.
” For what mom? ” He asked.
” Remember last time I hugged one of my business partner, you went around recording it, I can’t trust you with phones little boy.. so bring it out.. ” She said.
” But mom, you wouldn’t be doing anything right? So why do you think I would want to record anything? And I need my phone to play games please ” Ryan pleaded but Ella scoffed.
” I ain’t falling for that trick little boy. Your phone! Come on! ” She said and Ryan sighed sadly before handing over the phone to Ella who smiled cheekily at him.
” Good job baby ” She said with a little smirk and patted his hair.
” Hey baby ” Clinton said, opening the door and walking in with his guard behind him.
” Hey ” Ella smiled widely and hugged him before they shared a passionate kiss right in front of Ryan who stared at the blankly.
It’s not his first time seeing them do that, if only his dad would believe his words.
” Hey little dude ” Clinton smiled as he squatted over to his level and ruffled his hair.
Ryan moved away from him. ” You’re not my dad ” Ryan snapped and Clinton chuckled.
” I am little boy.. I will be soon. Your dad and mom ain’t married and I will be getting married to your mom soon, which means either ways I’m becoming your dad ” He said and Ryan scoffed again.
” No, that won’t happen ” He said confidently.
” Really? Your mom’s already carrying my baby ” Clinton said confidently and Ryan’s eyes widened as he turned to his mom who only smiled at Clinton’s words.
” Mom! You’re pregnant for him? ” He asked unbelievably.
” Hmm hmm ” Ella confirmed it.
” Mom, aren’t you scared I will inform dad? ” Ryan asked.
” Well he’s never going to believe you. What do you know? You’re just a three years old kids who knows nothing he talks about and even if he does find out, It does nothing cause I’m gonna break the deal to him, not now but later, after I have achieved what I want to ” She said with a cocky smile.
