” Y.. your birthday? ” Alex asked surprisingly and Lyra nodded. He turned to Bruce with a raised brow.
Lyra let out a dry chuckle. ” You don’t have to ask him, he probably doesn’t know ” Lyra cut Alex of who passed Bruce a questioning look.
” He doesn’t care.. ” She muttered and with that, got on her feet. She made her way to her room.
Alex turned to Bruce who seemed guilty for a while but he’s currently looking expressionless like he didn’t care.
The truth is, he was suprised for a while as he didn’t even know it was going to be Lyra’s birthday tomorrow.
Not like he had cared anyways, he knows literally nothing about his so-called
That means it’s also Ella’s birthday tomorrow but she didn’t remind him.
Wait, is she probably expecting him to pull a suprise birthday for her?
But how can he do that within the space of some hours?
” You’re not going to say anything about this, are you? ” Alex asked but Bruce gave no reply as he only turned his attention to the laptop on his lap.
Alex let out a sigh before he also decided to mind his business.
** Next Morning **
Heavy knocks at her door made Lyra jump out of bed. She was taken aback at the heavy knocks and at the same time scared a bit.
” Who’s it? ” She asked almost in a stutter. ” It’s me Tia ” Tia’s voice came out in a hurry and that calmed her down a bit but at the same time she was wondering what was making Tia restless.
Nevertheless, she walked over to the door and opening the door, she was met with Tia who really had a restless look on like she had thought.
” What’s wrong? ” Lyra had to ask. ” Outside… There are gifts.. lots of gifts outside.. Sire Bruce and Alec seemed to be in shock… I think they are from.. ” She rushed at once and placing a stop at the end and with a knowing look, Lyra got what she meant and with that, they both rushed downstairs.
Getting outside, she was met with Bruce and Alex and then someone she wasn’t informed about, Ella. They all seemed to be in shock at the scene before them that they didn’t notice Lyra’s presence.
Lyra gasped out loudly before she could stop herself and that caught their attention as they all turned to her.
She ignored their stares as her legs wander firstly to the huge brand new latest Lamborghini sitting coolly before them, branded and packaged with the symbol *Happy Birthday Cutie * decorated on it.
No sign of whom it was from but she immediately knew whom it was, the only person who calls her cutie, Bryan!
Opening the band new car’s door were the car’s document and then the car key.
Then a money cake, decorated with tons of dollars that could obviously contain millions as some guards brought it out of the car.
And then a packaged cake, with the name * Lyra * prescribed on it. Lyra couldn’t hide her suprise. She wasn’t expecting this, this was too much.
And then bouquets of flowers, Only Bryan knew how much she loved flowers and he got her tons of it and then inside each bouquet were birthday cards which Tia took to her room together with the bouquet.
Same with some other packaged gifts the guards took them all to her room.
And then some other big gifts which were from her parents. She has no friends so no gifts from friends.
The only three important persons in her life sent her gifts. Her parents and Bryan. She couldn’t stop the tears that rolled down her cheek, she had missed this feeling.
The feeling of being loved by people, it’s been years since she experienced this.
Tho, her parents sends her gifts every year but Bruce never did, he never cared about her birthday. But here, at that moment, Bryan is replacing him.
Walking back in and without saying a word to the trio who stood outside still wondering what just happened before them.
Initially, they( Ella and Bruce) are aware Lyra’s parents sends her gifts every year, but this is a lot.
And Ella is always aware of whatever her parents sends as birthday gift to Lyra, they always gives them the same gift.
But this, all these are definitely not from her parents. A fvcking Lambo! No, it’s definitely from someone else.
Ella had come to Bruce’s mansion on his request, he was taking her on an outing since it’s also her birthday.
She thinks he’s going to plan a suprise party for her and that was the reason why she was there, but then only to see this.
She silently hoped Bruce would suprise her with gifts that are definitely bigger than Lyra’s, but could he? He probably wasn’t aware someone would send Lyra gifts as big as this.
Her eyes met with Bruce. ” Your parents didn’t send her this, did they? ” He asked and she shook her head.
” No, they didn’t. Do you think she has a secret lover? ” Ella asked hatefully.
Bruce didn’t give a reply to Ella’s rhetoric question as he only proceeded to walking inside the mansion and Ella followed him immediately.
Alex only stood outside staring at the Lambo, until a tiny smirk which faded immediately in few seconds appeared on his lips.
He turned his back against the car before making his way into the mansion.
** Lyra’s Room **
Lyra was still in tears as Tia kept on unwrapping the numerous packages that have now occupied her whole bed.
Did Bryan get her all this? They were all in the new car he bought for her and that definitely means it’s from him.
Her parent’s gifts are also there but they’re obviously not even up to a quarter of what Bruce got her.
” These are too much ” Tia muttered as she kept unwrapping the expensive gifts while Lyra only stared on in disbelief.
The gifts consists of chains, gold jewelleries, designer clothes and bags including expensive shoes, there are also new phones alongside even when he’s aware she had a new phone already.
And then the car’s document and car keys, and then the numerous bouquets of flowers which entailed birthday cards, she hadn’t touched them at all.
And the the huge money cards which each roll entailed 10, 000$, decorated in 100 parts and that equals a million dollars.
And then earlier, She had received a huge sum of money from an unknown account, ( 50million dollars), she couldn’t process all of this.
Definitely now, she’s a billionaire. Since she was a billionaire before she got married to Bruce, Bruce had her account locked immediately since she was obviously richer than he is and she gave in when he had brought the document to her since she was head over heels for him.
He had promised to give her all she needed and she accepted without thinking. Her account filled with billions of dollars was locked but now all of a sudden, it had been opened. Bryan? It’s definitely him.
He’s the only one she had ever told about the locked account.
She couldn’t process all of this at once as she only kept on shedding tears. Why would he do all of this for her?
Their relationship had only been some months old and he’s already doing all this for her. Is it a way of showing how much he loves her?
He must really love her so much to be doing all of this for her? She knows he’s capable of all these since he also has a big company whose name she doesn’t know.
She was also hoping Bruce wouldn’t question her about whom that was from. Bruce is also a billionaire tho not as rich as she was back then.
She knew most definitely he could afford all of this Bryan had done for her, he only doesn’t care.
” I don’t think I can finish unwrapping this myself. Should I get some other maids to help with this? ” Tia asked and Lyra nodded anyways.
* Some hours later *
The maids were done unwrapping all of the gifts but Lyra was yet to place a call across to Bruce, infact her phone was off purposely.
She wanted to calm herself down as she still couldn’t seem to process all of this.
She’s aware Bryan loves her so much, but isn’t this a bit too much? If he had opened the account only for her, that alone would have made her gone crazy but then he went extra miles.
She didn’t know what she would say to him if he called which she’s sure he must have been trying to call.
The gifts he sent to her were too much that she was yet to decide what to do with them.
” Wow, this is beautiful ” Tia suddenly said in excitement and Lyra raised her head a little to see what Lyra was talking about.
It was a very big cuddling teddy with the name B( and then the love symbol) L and she knew what that was. Bryan loves Lyra and that once again confirmed her doubts that the gifts were from Bryan.
She sighed as she landed on the bed. ” Please stay with me till I’m awake ” Lyra said to Tia and she nodded.
All of these were too much for her to handle so she slept off.
** Downstairs **
Bruce suddenly turned to Ella who was suddenly feeling bad, definitely cause she was wondering who had gotten Lyra that much gift.
She was jealous and mad at the same time that someone cared for Lyra. She was also thinking her twin sister must have gotten herself a secret lover, all these bothered her so much.
He must be a rich one too, he even got her a Lambo sports car. She wasn’t rich enough to that level.
That was one of the reason she had convinced her parents to hand over Lyra’s company to her after her(Lyra’s) marriage since Lyra’s company was one of the best company in the country making her a rich and young billionaire.
She wanted that title for herself too. But ever since the company got into her hands, it hasn’t been doing very well like it was in Lyra’s hands.
Lyra could definitely afford that car if she hadn’t had her account locked but since her account is still locked, Lyra’s definitely poor and can’t afford that car and that definitely means someone bought it for her and that person’s definitely not Bruce.
” Do you want me to get you the same car? ” Bruce suddenly asked, breaking Ella out of her thoughts.
” Huh? ” She asked unsure of what she heard.
” You.. you.. will get me that car? ” She’s aware Bruce could definitely afford that car with just a snap of his fingers, but he would get something as big as that for her?
” If you want ” Bruce replied with a shrug.
” Really? ” Ella asked almost in tears as she got up from her seat. Bruce nodded again with a smile.
Ella smiled in tears as she jumped on Bruce’s laps and hugging him tightly. ” I love you ” She muttered.
” I love you more ” Bruce replied as he kissed her neck.
Alex watched from his seat with a smirk as his gaze met with Bruce.
Alex looked away as he shook his head in pity for Lyra and at the same time he’s glad she found someone who cares for her and not this jerk who’s head over heels for her twin sister instead.
**
Lyra woke up with a slight headache and as thought Lia was still beside her but she had fallen asleep.
She smiled lightly before squatting over to her level and she lifted her up, placing her gently on the bed and then covering her with the quilt.
She let out a sigh as realization hit her again that she wasn’t dreaming, it was real.
She looked around and her eyes caught the cute teddy bear. She smiled lightly and stretched her hand to it and grabbing it, she hugged it tightly.
” I love you Bryan.. but isn’t this too much for someone you just met months ago? ” She asked the teddy silently like it would give her a reply.
She grabbed her phone and switching it on, almost immediately Bryan’s call came in and her heartbeat accelerated irregularly.
