“You’re back?” Mr King asked in a low voice.
Antaotao was lost in thought when she was startled. She looked at the source of the voice and found that Mr King was still there.
Did he plan to deal with the documents in the bedroom all the time?
Antaotao pouted and touched her chest again. “Yes, you’re back. Has Mr King been in the bedroom all the time?”
Mr King replied, still looking at her.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, Antaotao couldn’t help but sigh slightly. She supported her head with her hands, and subconsciously looked at Mr King. “Mr King, I went to the Chinese Medicine Association today and heard a lot about the old master, but all of them were bad. If it were you, what would you do?”
Mr King put down the documents in his hands, stared at her and said, “trust me and find out the truth.”
‘what?
Antaotao was stunned. She didn’t expect that Mr King would say something like that.
She thought he would be more simple and crude, but she didn’t expect him to think the same as her.
Crossing her legs, Antaotao continued, “they said that my old master died and that he betrayed the association, so he was driven out and then came to the countryside. But I don’t believe it. I will find out the truth.”
Antaotao felt much better after telling her what was on her mind. It was really good to have someone to confide in.
Mr King replied, not stopping her from telling the truth.
He knew what an old master meant to her.
“I’ve asked Huangshen to look into it. I hope he can find out something,” Antaotao said, looking up at the ceiling. “I think he can, right?”
Mr King replied, “yes.”
She couldn’t even find out who could leave.
Hearing this, Antaotao felt much more relieved. “Ah, I’m relieved now. I really feel very uncomfortable just now.”
Mr King squinted her eyes. Was she in a good mood because she had told him?
Thinking of this, Mr King’s face lit up.
Antaotao lay down on the bed and couldn’t help rolling a few more circles. Like a spring roll, she rolled herself into the quilt. “I’m so sleepy. I want to have a sleep.”
Mr King didn’t respond and continued to deal with the documents with her head down.
Antaotao smacked her lips and fell asleep. Perhaps it was because she was too tired and had too many things to deal with.
Antaotao didn’t wake up until night.
The room was a little dark, except the light from the laptop screen, which lit up the surroundings. Through the light, Antaotao saw Mr King, who was still dealing with documents.
Did he just sit in the dark and deal with documents all the time?
Her eyes were almost broken, okay?
Antaotao got out of bed angrily and turned on the light. “Mr King, it’s so dark. Don’t you want your eyes?”
The bedroom was lit up all of a sudden. Mr King squinted, and after a while, she adapted to the light in front of her.
But he didn’t say anything. His eyes seemed to say that he had already been used to darkness.
Antaotao got even angrier. What’s wrong with him? His eyes belonged to himself. How could he not cherish them?
She raised her eyebrows and said in a more resentful tone, “Mr King, your eyes are yours. If they break down in the future, you will cry.”
Seeing that she didn’t want to give up, Mr King raised her eyes, which were filled with some sort of sternness, like a lion showing its tusks, making people tremble. “Come here.”
He opened his thin lips and said in a low and hoarse voice.
Antaotao suddenly became alert.
Did he dislike her and want to punish her?
Antaotao shook his head immediately and refused to go.
Mr King snorted. If she didn’t come over, he would go over. When he stood beside her, Antaotao was frightened to take a step back, but soon he raised his chin again, as if he was not afraid of anything.
“It’s none of my business?”
Looking into his eyes, Antaotao’s aura instantly weakened, but she still raised her head and stared at him. “It’s all your fault. I can’t care about it anymore.”
As he spoke, he raised his chin. He was determined to win.
Mr King snorted again, which sounded creepy.
Antaotao’s little body trembled, looking pitiful, weak and helpless.
Soon, Mr King let go of her. The darkness in his eyes was frightening. “Go to a place with me tomorrow.”
Antaotao suddenly found that he was silent and his face seemed to be a little pale. She swallowed and boldly asked, “where are we going? What preparations do I need?”
“Cemetery.” Mr King opened his thin lips, and a deep voice spread in the bedroom.
Antaotao’s heart sank.
Cemetery
Are you going to worship your parents?
Antaotao didn’t expect that Mr King would take her there. She had thought that he would go there alone.
However, since Mr King had invited her, she must go.
“Mr King, I see. I’ll go with you.” Antaotao clenched her fists and became serious.
Mr King glanced at her without saying anything.
The next day.
The weather was a little hazy, as if it would rain at any time, which made people more depressed.
Mr King was still wearing a black windbreaker, and Antaotao also chose a very simple one to wear.
When they got on the car, it began to drizzle in the sky. The drizzle was dense and the ground was instantly wet. Not long after, the rain became bigger and it became bean sized one point one.
Soon, the car drove into the cemetery. Antaotao found that his parents’ cemetery was the same as that of the old master, and the tombs were adjacent to each other. They were so close to each other.
Antaotao was a little surprised, but she didn’t show it on her face. She looked down at the tombstone in front of her, and was even more surprised at a glance.
There were two wordless tablets, not even a photo.
‘no, no word?’?
Were they really parents, not enemies?
You don’t even deserve to have a life after death?
For a moment, the expression on Antaotao’s face changed, but he didn’t dare to ask casually.
Mr King stood in front of the gravestone and looked at it quietly. The silence was more like a sculpture than a real person. In addition, the bean sized rain outside the umbrella and the cold weather made him look more frightening.
Antaotao took a deep breath and turned to the tombstone in front of her. She put the chrysanthemum she had just prepared in front of the tombstone, and her face became solemn.
“I’m curious why it’s a wordless tablet?” Mr King asked in a low voice.
Antaotao turned to him and said, “yes, I’m a little curious. Will Mr King tell me?”
Mr King’s face changed, and a bloodthirsty look flashed through his dark eyes, which made the surroundings gloomy and cold. “They died in a strange way. They can rest in peace after everything subsides.”
“!”
Antaotao paused for a moment. Why did he die so weirdly?
