Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-5

“Because of all you did to her, because of how YOU treated her, Miranda has left you for someone that couldn’t have been a more better fit for her happiness, and I CANNOT but wish her so much more than she would have ever had with you…”
“If you expect me to feel sorry for you because of this, better know now that’s the last thing I’d do.”
Sandy’s words kept on hammering into his head. He’d been seated amidst this rubble for hours, and still he didn’t feel like getting up. He suddenly began to hear his wolf, nudging him.
“You can’t remain here like this feeling pity for yourself Walden. You have to rise like the alpha you are.”
“What’s an alpha without a Luna?” Miranda was supposed to be his queen, she was supposed to be married to him and not Damian.
“Still an alpha.” His wolf answered.
“Yes, you’re right.” I AM still an alpha, and I shouldn’t crawl or cower because of words that any woman says to me….”
But then… Sandy might have been harsh, but she was right about one thing, he HAS been unfair to Miranda.
Spending more time with Samara instead of her had never been his intention. It started like this; his father was the alpha, Samara’s father was the beta. The alpha died, and Walden had to take over the responsibilities of leading the pack. His coronation came earlier than expected, and he was the least prepared for it, but Samara was there for him, she was his close friend, as they’d grown up in the pack house together. There was nothing Walden didn’t share with Samara, and there was nothing she didn’t share with him.
Then the Beta died unexpectedly, and he wasn’t able to appoint anyone in place to take over him before he died, so his daughter took over the duties temporarily, until the alpha would find someone more fitting to assume them. Samara did a hell of a good job before Finn took over.
Samara’s assumed duties gave them both more time to spend together as they did in their childhood. She was with him for all the days in court, and also after court sessions. He was well aware that he was more closer to her than Miranda, but he never expected the problem to be this much.
And now she’s with that bastard! That man that clearly doesn’t deserve her. Poor Miranda, he’s hurt her so much, she doesn’t even realize what she really wants anymore. How can she prefer to marry a killer than him?
No. As much as he wants to leave her, as much as he wants to move on, he can’t abandon her to keep suffering in secret. He can’t abandon her again. No, he will not.
He’s made a mistake yes, but that doesn’t mean that Damian deserves the chance to be with her any more than he does.
He’s realized his shortcomings now thanks to his sister, and now he’s willing to make amends, he’s willing to fix things because he knows that there’s still a chance for he and Miranda to reconcile their differences. She’s married to someone else now, but that doesn’t change things. She was once his, and she can still be.
HE is Miranda’s true love, Miranda is supposed to have married him and not Damian, he knows he messed up, but he’s willing to do something, anything to win Miranda back.
He’s willing to treat her better, he’s willing to put her as his priority now instead of Samara. From now on, no matter how much Samara calls out to him, he’ll always put Miranda first….
One of the guards suddenly burst through the doors without bothering to knock. If it weren’t for the terrible state he appeared, (tattered clothes and wounded hands) Walden would have questioned such disrespectful behavior.
The guard appeared shocked to meet the Alpha’s room in such a mess, fearing that alpha Walden might be in his angry state.
“Sire…”
“What is it?”
“Sire… Something bad has happened…”
“Go on.”
“Madame Samara sire….”
He got up as the name prompted his feet, “yes, what’s wrong with her???”
“She…. She’s been kidnapped sire.”
He, creased his brow, “wait… what?? When… How? How did this happen?”
Raymond hadn’t… Thought of what to say…. He hadn’t thought of an explanation to give as to why he and Samara where out so late.
“I really hate repeating myself Raymond, but for the sake of Samara, I will. How. Did. This. Happen???”
“Um…. Sire, we were…. We were out on patrol sire.”
“Patrol ends by evening time. What the hell where you both still doing outside by then?”
“Sire she…. She wanted to do a double again without any troops, so she asked me to come along with her… We were alone when some unknown men attacked us and took her away…”
Walden’s eyes raged then, “unknown men somehow managed to kidnap your mistress and you manage to make it back unharmed.. Why am I finding it hard to believe you?”
“I swear sire! I did everything to try to stop them from taking her, but there were too many of them, they overpowered us and….”
“Enough of the excuses! These men that took her, do you have any leads on them? Are they from around this terrain?”
“Most unlikely sire, as we were ambushed by the border, and the guards on duty in that area were knocked down, it’s evident that those men were not from our territory.”
“How come the guards were knocked down? Huh? Weren’t there enough of our men there…? There’s no excuse for this Raymond, unless there were an army of kidnappers, there’s no excuse as to why Samara could have been taken away right under your noses!!!!!”
“Sire….”
Walden had heard enough from his mouth, quickly sending in his guards. As soon as the men entered, he ordered them, “take him away and lock him up!!!”
“On it sire!!!”
“Please sire!!!! I swear that I had nothing to do with her kidnap!!!! I swear on my life that I am innocent!” He kept on pleading as he was being dragged out, but Walden turned deaf ears to all of his cries.
“You will rot in prison until whenever Samara returns back here, you filthy liar!”
After the guards had taken him out, Walden’s mind went into a state of panic. As if he’s not been through enough, he wants to make up with Miranda, and now Samara has somehow gotten in the way again. Now what kind of person would he be to ignore such a distress call?
He has to look for a way to save her now, but he has no clue on what to do, no clue on who those men are nor where they’re from…, or does he?
As the idea came to mind, he sent for his guards again..
“Yes, sire,” the two men entered.
“Take Raymond to the torture room, make sure you withdraw as much truth as you can from him regarding Samara’s kidnap, but tell the guard there not to kill him.”
“Yes sire,” the two men ran off and he was alone again, thinking of the next step to take if the guard somehow turns out to be innocent.
