What is wrong with that girl??? Who does she think she is? Why does she deem herself so high that no one can talk to her? Does she not realize what she is about to do? Does she not realize how much her actions will affect others? After Walden left, Valledor could no longer suppress the urge to go in there and talk some sense into that girl. He does not care anymore what Luther or Damian might do to him if he tries to hurt her, he does not care at all.
He banged the meeting doors open with his shoulder, so they swung open and hit the wall with force before he entered inside, “Miranda! What is wrong with you??? Why do you derive so much pleasure in making things difficult for others??? What kind of queen do you intend to become??”
Even with the loud tone Valledor used, Miranda was not moved because he doesn’t scare her at all. She remained seated watching him, and after he finished lashing at her, she gave him her calm reply….
“The best Valledor, I intend to become the best queen this pack has ever had! Like I said before, all my decisions have always been for the greater good of the lotus, and I WILL carry on with this marriage.”
“You are making a mistake princess! Perhaps you are not aware of the calamity you are about to bring upon us…”
“The only mistake I would have made would have been getting married to Walden, and I must admit it’s a really smart move you played there… calling him to come here and all, such a shame that you both have only wasted your time.”
“Do not speak to me like that you spoilt brat! You might have the protection of your father and Damian but let me remind you that I am still your superior! You carry your head high all because you have their support! If it weren’t for them, I would have given you the beating of your life now! You’re nothing without them princess, you’re just a weak little piece of shit who can’t even stand up for herself without….”
“You are very much mistaken if you think that of me Valledor. Indeed, you don’t know me at all. I have powers, and I am very much capable of much more than you can think of….”
“You are capable of nothing! And you have no strength of your own apart from the one your father supports you with!”
Miranda got up from her chair, and walked closer towards him, facing him squarely before continuing, “I didn’t want to tell you this before Valledor, but now it seems as if you really want to find out what kind of damage I’m capable of without help from my father.”
“What are you talking about?” He asked rudely.
“Do you remember Tobi? Your precious son who died three years ago?”
Valledor closed his eyes as if to shut away the pain, he hated to think of his dead son, the only child he ever had, and now this stupid girl has made him relive the story in his mind.
*A few years ago, Tobi died from trauma and depression due to him being bullied by an anonymous wolf, Tobias dared not to speak of the bully nor reveal his identity because of fear. That single experience drowned him further into sadness, and in the end of it all, Tobias couldn’t take it anymore, he finally committed suicide. Valledor had tried all he could to save his son, but lack of closeness between the two restrained Tobi from ever confiding in his father. It was the worst day of his life, watching as his son’s body was cremated, never to see his face again. Valledor swore that day that he would find whoever this bully was and make him pay, but up till now, he hadn’t been successful as he’s been more focused on overthrowing the Lotus pack’s leadership….
Seeing the look on his face, Miranda grinned widely, her next words made Valledor snap back into reality, “it’s good to see that you remember, of course, no parent would ever forget that. No matter the amount of wickedness that lives in his heart; a father will always remain a father.”
Valledor began to mellow down, as reopening the wounds of the past brought about sudden weakness in his body, “why are you telling me this Miranda? Are you not satisfied with the damage you have caused already? Why do you have to bring my son into this? Why do you have to remind me of the pain I felt years ago?”
“I’m sorry, but you called me weak just now, I never mentioned Tobias to hurt you, I just wanted you to know of how much damage a “weak” person is capable of.”
He shot her a questioning glance, “what did you do Miranda?”
“I am the anonymous wolf; I was the one who beat Tobias to a pulp that day. Only one day was enough for me, as his depression didn’t come as a result of being bullied, it came become of his egotistical nature; the poor wolf would have never believed in all his life, that he’d be defeated by a girl.”
“You monster! You killed him! You are nothing but a witch! You….”
“I’m not done Valledor, and let me just reveal to you also who your son really is, I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Your son was the bully, he was a terrible person. When you and my father went on patrols, he had a daily routine of raping and beating up the younger women of this pack, he was even a much worse person than you were. But I will admit, he was strong, and that was why the other males could do nothing but watch as he raped their wives and girlfriends, and no one dared to speak up against a beta’s son of course, as Tobias would deny everything if he was ever reported, so his crimes was kept hidden for many years.”
He began to yell again, “so you killed him! You thought that the best solution was to shed blood… oh, I never knew thought you were so evil Miranda…”
Miranda ignored him, continuing the tale, “the day came when I knew that I had to teach him a lesson, I’d just unlocked a new power then and he was the perfect lab rat for me to test it on, the same lab rat that was about to rape me, as he wasn’t satisfied with the many lives he’d ruined, he got more than what he bargained for. Ever since that day, he always feared me, and he never dared to open his mouth to lie against an alpha’s daughter, because of course, I would deny everything if I was ever reported. You might see me as weak because I hardly retaliate, but you have no idea what I am capable of Valledor, unfortunately your son knew how dangerous I was, and he took that knowledge to his early grave…”
Valledor rose his hand with swift force, about to land a slap on Miranda’s face but she beat him to it, grabbing his hand before it came to touch her cheeks and throwing it back with pendulum force, still facing him squarely like a badass. He was shocked by her speed, truly this girl was no weakling as he’d thought.
“All your plans have failed Valledor, so you might as well stop wasting your time. I will marry Damian today, whether you like it or not.”
As she left him alone in the meeting room, a new fear arose in his heart for the Lotus princess after that experience, he’d tried everything to stop this wedding, but it was all hopeless now.
