Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-5

Miranda could not believe what she was hearing, the silver pack’s alpha wants to marry her? she slapped herself hard on the cheek there, whatever dream this was, she wants to wake up from it now. Right now!!! But no, the slapping didn’t work, seeing that her attempts to wake herself up were futile, she had to ask, forgetting the rule about questioning the alpha’s decisions…
“You want to marry me? Why?”
“I do not give reasons as to why I do things, nor do I care to explain, and you’d better not ask me again. I only state things out the way I want them to be and you can either agree to them or not… So, tell me Miranda, are you willing to go through with this condition or should I kill you instead?”
Alpha Damian wants to marry her? The man she’s been terrified of ever since the day she saw him? The man who gives her sleepless nights all because she fears getting killed by him? Now to enter a lifelong commitment with him to save her life? This was really a tough decision to make.
“What to do? What to do? Oh Lily, what to do???”
She then heard Lily’s voice answer inside her, “do you wish to die instead? Or do you wish that the Lotus pack is defeated in the upcoming war?”
No, and no, she wishes none of those things, but she doesn’t wish to marry alpha Damian either, he terrifies the life out of her, but still, it’s better than dying.
“I’m waiting princess….”
He was giving her a once in a lifetime offer, once in a lifetime because if she didn’t agree to this decision, it would be the last choice she’d ever make. The silence dragged, but somehow, for some reason Miranda couldn’t explain, he remained patient with her, not saying a word as he waited for her to give her answer. She’d heard stories about this mighty silver alpha, and apart from “mercy,” another word that never existed in his dictionary was “patience,” which made her even more concerned as the silence dragged on.
Finally deciding, closing her eyes, her trembling nails digging into her dress, freeing the tension in her heart for a moment to give her answer…
“I accept your offer, alpha Damian, to form an alliance between the Lotus and the silver pack through marriage,” there, she’d said it. Happy now Lily? Of course.
He grinned, moving towards her to help her get up from the ground, “good. I’ll start by introducing my future queen to the silver pack’s court this evening.”

***AT THE NIGHT SHADOW COURT***
“Bring him in,” alpha Walden ordered the guard, as he sat on the high alpha’s seat in the middle of the court waiting, Samara was there too, standing in her usual position beside him, with a huge smirk on her face.
Shortly after, the guards dragged in a blindfolded young man, his blindfold was taken off and he was pushed on his knees after he was brought in to face the alpha.
“Omega Conor, you were caught sneaking out through the packhouse walls last night, do you plead guilty of this crime?”
Conor bent his head ashamedly, too frightened to speak.
“You’d better talk young man, as your life depends on it,” Walden warned.
“Y-y-es, sire, I was trying to sneak out of the packhouse before I got caught by the guards.”
“You do not reside here, so what exactly did you come to do here that had to happen at an ungodly hour, and couldn’t let you pass through the front gates?”
“N-nothing sire…” before Conor could continue, his words were met with loud slap on his face that sounded through the court walls, grabbing everyone’s attention. Walden then turned to sit back down after slapping him.
“You’d better not lie to me; you’d better not try it at all. There’s no possible way you could have been doing “nothing,” not with the way you were caught last night…”
Samara, who stood at the background, witnessing everything, then gave an eye signal to one of the guards that had brought the prisoner in. The guard nodded at her in response and retrieved an item, a bag from one of his comrades, before handing it to the alpha.
“There’s something you should see sire,” he said.
“What is it?” Walden asked the guard as he snatched it from him and looked inside the bag, before the guard could answer, Walden had already seen it; a murder weapon, the fool didn’t even bother to clean up as the knife still had evident blood stains on it.
He held the dagger in front of Conor along with the bag, the prisoner only stared at the items in bewilderment.
“This is your bag, isn’t it???” Walden asked him. “Answer me!!!” He demanded.
“It is sire… it’s my bag, but…. I-I-I swear, I don’t know how that dagger got in there… it doesn’t belong to me…”
“Your stupidity amuses me, no doubt. This knife was found in your belongings after you were imprisoned, and now you claim it’s not yours, who then does it now belong to? Me???” Whispers and murmurs where now heard in the background of the court, along with small trails of laughter.
“No sire…. I don’t know how that knife got into my bag; I swear on my life sire…”
The guard who gave Walden the bag wasn’t done, it seemed that there were also some other findings against the suspect.
“One more thing sire…” he cut in. “The diener examined the knife after we took it to him, he confirmed it that the blood on the knife as well as the sharp projection of the blade matches the wound found in the corpse’s chest. That’s the murder weapon sire.”
After listening to what the guard said, Walden gave Conor a sharp look, “I’m giving you one final chance to confess your crimes Conor, WHAT do you have to say about this?”
Tears began to run down Conor’s face, as he spoke with utmost sincerity in his heart, “I swear sire… I swear… I don’t know how that knife got in there. It’s my bag, but I didn’t kill anyone nor do I own the knife…”
“Shut up before I land you another slap, you fool. You lie, even when the evidences speak clearly against you. Now I have no choice but to proclaim my judgement against you as the alpha. Omega Conor, traitor to the night shadow pack, I hereby sentence you to death… from now on, you are relieved of your privileges as a member of the night shadow territory and you will be executed at dawn for your crimes against the alpha, and your pack, and also, for attempting to cause more damage by sneaking into the packhouse at ungodly hours.”
After proclaiming his judgement, and with a sharp nod of his head, the guards took the crying prisoner away.
