“General Quincy, what do you need me to do?”
Clark’s tone was respectful because he knew Quentin wouldn’t contact him unless it was important.
Quentin replied calmly, “I need the surveillance footage from Spicurity Group, specifically from the marketing department.”
“The department where Charlotte works.”
Upon hearing this, Clark had a bad feeling; something must have happened to Mrs. Howard. Sweating profusely, he replied, “Yes!”
Within about ten minutes, a segment of surveillance footage was sent over.
Clark made a call, trembling, “I’m sorry, General Quincy, I was unaware of this incident. It’s my fault!”
“Please forgive me, General Quincy!”
Quentin said, “It has nothing to do with you, don’t worry about it.”
There are always some unscrupulous people in every place. Clark, as a business owner, couldn’t possibly manage all the lower-level employees.
Quentin was a reasonable person. Therefore, he knew Clark couldn’t control these lower-tier employees.
“General Quincy, rest assured, I will personally handle this matter tomorrow.” Clark promised earnestly.
Quentin shook his head, “No need, it would be too much for you to handle it yourself. It’s better not to make a big deal out of it. Send one of your subordinates over to settle things with Charlotte.”
“Understood.” Clark nodded repeatedly at Quentin’s instructions.
“That’s all for now.”
Quentin hung up the phone.
Clark was reliable in handling matters, so Quentin had no worries when he delegated this task to him.
The next day, Charlotte went to work as usual, but her mood was much heavier. People in the office looked at her strangely, full of rejection. It made her very uncomfortable.
As long as the label of a thief was attached to her, she couldn’t find peace.
Meanwhile, Bella was exuberant. She wore a revealing outfit and confidently entered the office.
As soon as she walked in, she exclaimed, “I have already contacted Mr. Hickman of the Bradshaw Group today.”
“In a day or two, we will discuss business. If we secure this deal, I will treat everyone to a meal! Wish me luck!”
“Great! Go Bella!”
“Bella, you are so generous, we love you-”
Compliments filled the office, and the atmosphere became lively.
This was another tactic Bella used to win people over. Despite her usual arrogance, she knew how to benefit others, making people both love and hate her.
Only Charlotte looked unhappy.
Bella approached her and said, “Charlotte, would you like to join my celebratory dinner? It’s all thanks to your dirty tricks that I got this opportunity.”
“In the end, I should thank you. If I succeed this time…”
“I might consider forgiving your previous actions; it’s me being generous, isn’t it?”
Her smug demeanor made Charlotte uncomfortable. She coldly replied, “No need, I won’t attend your celebratory dinner as you have used some underhanded methods.”
Unhappy with her response, Bella huffed, “Ungrateful.”
“That’s right! Bella forgives you generously, and you still have complaints?”
“You are a shameless thief!”
The office was filled with reprimands, everyone blaming Charlotte!
At that moment, a figure entered the office with a briefcase and said, “Who is Miss Pittman? I am the secretary to the CEO.”
Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked; had Charlotte’s actions alarmed even the board of directors?
She was in big trouble!
