“Explanation?” Reuben Austin was confused. This young man really had no manners, interrupting him as he spoke.
This displeased him greatly. However, his good upbringing made him suppress this anger.
Charlotte was speechless, how did this involve her again? Truly an unwarranted disaster.
Reuben Austin said indifferently, “Sir, if you have any doubts, please point them out. And, interrupting someone is very impolite.”
Alfonso Wagner, with an arrogant demeanor, noticed the attention of those around him and cleared his throat before slowly saying, “First off, among the five employees selected this time is Miss Pittman, who has only a high school diploma and a self-studied bachelor’s degree. To speak unpleasantly, Miss Pittman’s educational background is definitely the lowest among us, yet she managed to secure one of the five slots amidst fierce competition… And I, Alfonso Wagner, a proud graduate of the Imperial Business School, a top student, undoubtedly a rarity in this exam room, was not selected! Isn’t there a problem?”
He continued leisurely, “I personally feel that it would be no problem for me to secure a spot in the top three with my ability. I demand a review of the exam papers! Everything should be made public!” He spoke righteously, “This way, we will be convinced!”
Reuben Austin was amused to anger. This guy was really funny… Where did he get this confidence?
“Yes!”
“We also demand transparency!”
“Since there are doubts, everything has to be made public for the company to appear fair!”
“Indeed, Miss Pittman’s case is really questionable.”
Others echoed one after another, stirring up the atmosphere.
Persuaded by Alfonso Wagner, they too started doubting Charlotte. Could they be indeed inferior to a high school graduate?
Reuben Austin looked at Charlotte, “Miss Pittman, what do you think?”
“I have no objections.” Charlotte said indifferently, upright and unafraid.
“Good! If that’s the case, let’s bring out the exam papers for everyone to judge.” Reuben Austin spoke calmly, “Since there are doubts, we definitely need to set a good example.”
He waved his hand, instructing his staff to bring out Alfonso Wagner and Charlotte’s exam papers and project them for everyone to see. Additionally, the scores from various staff members and comprehensive scores were all displayed.
Everyone gasped. “This is completely not on the same level!”
“How can there be such a huge difference?” Alfonso Wagner, with a look of pride, said, “See? Everyone thinks so, what else do you have to say?”
“Dare to say there are no insider dealings!”
“Alfonso Wagner, you dare claim to be a graduate of a prestigious school? Trash!”
“Pfft! What is this crap? Even mine is better, it’s laughable!”
“So this is the graduate of Business School? Heh, nothing special…”
“I thought he was really talented, but it turns out, he’s just been boasting all along!”
Hearing the ridicule, the smile on Alfonso Wagner’s face gradually stiffened. “What’s going on?!” He found it hard to accept.
“Charlotte’s paper is good! There are many detailed points, solid theories, and feasible operations, truly impressive-”
“I feel inferior!”
People took a closer look and discovered that Charlotte’s level was indeed above theirs.
“No, have you all gone mad?” Alfonso Wagner shouted, “I’m a university graduate! How can she, a high school student, compare with me? Are you all blind?” Seeing his flustered appearance, people looked at him with disdain. They thought he was really talented, but he turned out just to be a braggart. The level demonstrated on the paper was disappointing!
Reuben Austin, with an indifferent tone, said, “I don’t know where you got this confidence in your abilities, which I find quite laughable!”
“Indeed, you graduated from Capital University of Business, but what does that prove?”
“It only proves that your high school grades got you into this university! And after entering university… you indulged in laziness, learned nothing, and failed seven subjects!”
“And you never scored above eighty points in any subject!”
“With such a record, you still boast about being a graduate of a prestigious university? Who gave you this sense of superiority!”
“Get out-” Reuben Austin pointed to the door and roared.
In an instant, numerous eyes were all strangely staring at Alfonso Wagner. His face was a mix of green and red, extremely embarrassed, with his secrets laid bare, what dignity left for him to stay there?
“Good!”
“Very good!” Alfonso Wagner laughed angrily, “Spicurity Group, huh? Your loss for not recruiting Alfonso Wagner, a genius like me!”
“Remember, one day, I, Alfonso Wagner, will surely rise above you all!”
He glared at Reuben Austin fiercely and stormed off, fuming.
Inside the interview room, everyone was speechless, thinking this guy must be delusional. With such a mentality, he dreamt of a comeback?
