“Do you think I care about this junk?”
Emma rolled her eyes. “Mr. Duncan’s gift when he visited yesterday was worth eight hundred thousand. Can you match that now?”
“Where do you get the nerve to compare yourself with him?”
Her anger flared up.
Quentin ignored her and said calmly, “These are the keys to the new house. I’ve already bought it, and you can move in anytime.”
“Are you serious?” Charlotte looked shocked. “No way.”
“Absolutely.”
Seeing that Quentin didn’t seem to be lying, Emma immediately walked over, took the keys, widened her eyes, and couldn’t resist taunting, “Did you manage to buy a broken house on loan?”
“Haha, I can’t afford to lose face!”
What money could Quentin possibly have now?
Quentin calmly said, “Paid in full.”
Emma, hearing this, was pleasantly surprised. Even buying a broken house required tens of thousands at least. She would take it anyway.
“Where’s the house?” Emma put the keys in her pocket and asked.
“Portdall Villa One.”
As soon as they heard this, everyone from the Pittman family was dumbfounded, almost choking.
“Are you kidding me?” Emma was outraged and threw the keys at Quentin. “Get out! Get out right now!”
Portdall Villa Area was the most prestigious villa area in Stresall, and everyone living there was a well-known and distinguished figure in Stresall.
A villa there cost over a billion!
Could Quentin afford Villa One in Portdall Villa Area now?
Who does he think he’s fooling? He’s really asking for trouble.
“This is real…” Quentin was speechless. He had really bought the villa.
“Get out!” Emma roared.
Quentin, helpless, left dejectedly, reminding Charlotte as he left, “Charlotte, these are the real keys. Don’t lose them!”
He was still teasing her? Charlotte was a bit speechless, but she still picked up the keys and quietly put them in her pocket.
Just think of it as a little gift to herself.
“What a useless thing, just get rid of it,” Emma sneered.
“I won’t.” Charlotte shook her head.
“Don’t you think this key looks pretty real?” Emery said. “Could it be real?”
“He could buy Portdall Villa?” Emma was so angry she could spit. “Damn him!”
“You’ll never set foot in my house again!”
Finishing her rant, she left in a huff to attend to other matters.
Emery leaned in, snuffed out the cigarette, and said, “Let’s see what’s inside this box.”
“Quentin is pretty reliable in other aspects, but he loves to boast. Well, times have changed! He’s not the young master of the Holland family anymore!”
“He has some spare money, and he’s used to spending extravagantly. I don’t know what kind of birthday gift he bought for us.”
“My Cayenne was bought by him, and I guess the Hollands left him some pocket money.”
Emery was slightly taken aback and then fell silent. If that’s true, Quentin is much better than Frank, after all, he is the children’s biological father.
Charlotte opened the gift box as she spoke, only to find a jade Buddha statue inside. However, this jade Buddha was full of neatly arranged cracks…
The father and daughter looked at each other.
Emery narrowed his eyes and said lightly, “The jade Buddha looks delicate, but its quality is really low, almost worthless.”
“It’s a dime a dozen.”
Once jade has cracks, it’s worthless.
Emery judged, “This jade Buddha, at most, is worth a few thousand at best.”
He shook his head. “Is this an appropriate gift for Grandpa’s big birthday?”
Giving such a trinket would be embarrassing in front of relatives.
Given Grandpa’s temperament, won’t he give him a good scolding?
He was in a dilemma.
