The man who stood pointing at Arien fell down with a thud.
Arien looked at him and then lifted her head and saw a familiar face holding a gun pointed towards her. It was him, he shot the gun!
“Ace…. Mr Ace?…” All the others shuddered but they just can’t run away.
They pounced at him one after another. But Devian was quick enough to counterattack.
Then one among them called out from behind, “Mr Ace. Surrender, or I’ll kill her.” He held a knife at Arien neck. It was piercing little by little and Arien could feel the pain.
Devian could also see the drops of blood. “Leave!” He said.
Arien saw that the man was ignorant. She kicked at the man’s leg and because she was wearing heels the man felt a sharp pain. Then she swiftly turned around and twisted his wrist and the man received flung from Devian.
“Great coordination, Mr Lyle” Arien smiled as the man fell down.
“You too, Mrs Lyle” Devian smiled back. And then his eyes fell on the wound on her neck. His face darkened. He won’t let these people escape.
Susan can only stand at a distance and watch the two of them fighting.
Huh !! She could only boast!
He touched her neck giving her a different sensation. “It hurts?”
“Nope” Arien nodded showing that it doesn’t. But the way she twitched her mouth told him that it was hurting.
Suddenly Devian raised his hand and threw a punch towards Arien and the man behind her got a hard hit.
All the badly injured men ran away but definitely they can’t go far after hurting the Ace’s wife. They were already surrounded by cops.
“Leo….” Susan ran and hugged Devian. “… I was so scared”
Devian had his eyes fixed on Arien who was smiling at him as if trying to say that she’s fine.
Devian smiled back. He could see how exhausted she was. He wanted to go, hug her. But…
“Leo, they wanted to kill me. You know they were going to shoot me….” Susan hugged Devian tightly, not letting him go.
Devian pushed her and with a slight nudge Susan was pushed away. Devian walked straight to Arien and took her in his embrace.
“I’m fine, look” Arien smiled.
“You…. Silly…” Devian was out of words for her. He could feel her heartbeat which was so fast yet she didn’t want to say that loud.
Suddenly, Susan fell on the ground.
Arien rushed towards her leaving Devian’s arms. “Hey Susan.”
But she didn’t respond.
“Devian let’s take her back. She might be exhausted” Arien spoke with a slight worry.
“Don’t be so sympathetic!” Devian really didn’t like her.
And then with a glare from Arien, Devian gave a hand in picking her up.
“How are we gonna take her down the hill?” Arien smiled.
No, Our Director is not going to pick her. Right?
With a helpless nod Devian dialed a number and the call was quickly answered.
“Director, we’ve got all the others. And we’ll take them in custody.” Dean reported.
“Hmm, come up” Devian said and hung the phone.
“Huh? Why does director want me there?” Dean thought. “Shouldn’t he be comforting Madam?”
Dean went up after ordering the guard to bring the car over near the hill.
Dean has just reached the top when Devian gave him a shock.
“Director just said to pick her, bring her down. But… But what’s Miss Hayes doing here? We didn’t get any information of her being taken away with Madam as well!” Dean looked at the unconscious Susan in front of him and thought.
“I’ll have to take her down there! Oh! only if I’d have known I’d have bought the car here itself.” Dean complained all the way down.
I knew our Director wont pick her up!
Devian waited in his car because she didn’t want to leave Susan alone there so they had to take them along. Devian, as a matter of course, would listen to his wife. So he had to take Susan along.

Louis and Julien received the message that Arien and Susan were safe now.
Only then did Julien took a sigh of relief. But Louis had a question in his mind.
“How did they get Susan as well when she ran away?” He asked.
“She went out of the washroom by herself. Maybe there were other men waiting for us to come out to capture us so she was caught.” Julien answered getting up. “Let’s go to them”
“Susan collapsed so she was send to the hospital. Leo said they’re fine and they’ll go back to Loveland. We don’t need to bother. Let’s go home.” Louis informed and followed Julien out and then they drove back to the house.

Back there Arien had scratches on her body because of fighting but Devian who had actually taken almost all the attacks but looked very fine except for the crumpled shirt.
Damn! Is he a professional!
Devian first instructed to treat Arien’s wound and then his and the doctors did as they were asked to.
Susan was taken into the ward for examining her.
After a while Arien’s wounds were dressed. Devian had a slight cut on his fist and nothing else.
The doctor came out and reported, “Miss Hayes is just unconscious, nothing serious.”
“Okay” Devian nodded. “Dean send her back to Lyle Mansion.”
Dean accepted the order.
“And where are we going?” Arien asked.
“To Loveland apartment” Devian spoke.
“No!!” Arien retorted and took a step back but Devian came closer and picked her up. “Devian! There’s only two days for Sister’s marriage!” Arien kept shouting but to no avail.
They headed to Loveland and Arien didn’t know why she’d remember that scene and when Devian was so angry at her, causing her mood to become sullen.
“De… Devian….” Arien pulled his shirt standing at the entrance of their apartment.
“Hmm…” Devian was keeping the slippers in front of her. He lifted his head and saw her long face.
He straightened and hugged her planting a kiss on her forehead, “I’m sorry for that day. I lost control over myself.”
“You were way too harsh and angry as well!” How can Arien leave the opportunity of being tough at him now.
“I wasn’t angry because you were with a man, but you didn’t think of telling me?” Devian spoke gently trying to avoid any tone that would seem harsh to her.
“I.. I did call you…” Arien recalled what happened that night.
Devian became alert. He didn’t see any unanswered calls in his phone that night and he remembered it correctly. “Let’s eat something then tell me what happened that day okay?”
“Hmm” Arien spoke walking towards the kitchen.
“Where are you going Mrs Lyle?” Devian pulled her and picked her up.
Arien : “…..”
This man! What does he want now! Didn’t he say we’ll eat something, how are we gonna eat if I don’t cook here?
“You really ain’t going away without a fight Devian!” Arien glared. “How are we supposed to eat without cooking!”
“I’ve arranged for the food, go and freshen up.” He put her down. “Remember don’t expose your wound to water.”
Arien just nodded and walked away. After she went inside Devian walked to the kitchen.
Ohh! So this was our dear Director’s arrangements? Making food by himself!
