Chapter 169: Who Else Wants to Stop Me!

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-6-5

“Where is Charlotte right now?”
“The Pittman mansion,” Rashad’s tone was icy, “They made my sister kneel under the sun and endure a downpour, and now she’s running a high fever…”
Quentin crumpled the documents in his hand, “I’m heading there right away.”
In front of the Pittman magnate, a Maybach tore through the rain, splashing water along the way, and finally came to a halt at the gates.
Quentin opened a black umbrella and stepped through the rainwater toward the entrance, his gaze sharp and his expression terrifyingly cold.
Lukas Pittman smirked at him, “Quentin, what the hell are you doing here? Get lost! The Pittman family doesn’t welcome you!”
“Move aside,” Quentin’s tone was frosty as his abyss-like eyes locked onto Lukas.
“I get it, you want to come to take Charlotte, right? Let me tell you, dream on! I’ll let you know this, Charlotte has a fever, but we won’t let Rashad take her to the hospital.”
“If you want to come in, it’s not impossible. Here’s a deal, I’ll give you a chance, crawl through my pants…”
Several people guarding the entrance also closed in, glaring at Quentin with hostility.
“Don’t force me.”
Lukas laughed recklessly, “Damn it, there are several of us, and we’re not afraid of you…”
Before he could finish his sentence, a gust of wind struck them from the front, and they suddenly felt a sharp pain in their chests, sending them flying through the air.
“Wow-” a cry as someone spat out a mouthful of blood on the spot…
Quentin, holding the black umbrella, stepped on the rain-soaked ground and continued forward, seizing one of the members of the Pittman family, his eyes as cold as ice, “Where is Charlotte?”
The person turned pale with fear and quickly pointed in a direction, “Over there.”
Quentin released him and strode in that direction, suppressing extreme anger in his chest.
These bastards of the Pittman family truly were despicable. If it weren’t for them being Charlotte’s relatives, he would have killed them.
In a room, Rashad begged desperately, “Grandfather, my sister is having a high fever, please let me take her to see a doctor!”
“What’s the big deal of it?” Russell snorted, “Charlotte has made a serious mistake. Today, she will be taught a lesson until she learns from it.”
“When she wakes up, she will continue to kneel until she admits her mistake.”
“Grandfather…”
“That’s enough!”
“Rashad! If you speak again, I will punish you as well! Get out-”
Georgia sneered on the side, “Rashad, your sister may have a hard life, tough and resilient, able to endure hardships, unlike someone like me with a delicate body. What could possibly happen to her?”
Nikolas added, “Yes, if you plead for her again, Grandfather will be angry!”
Rashad knelt down, begging.
“Grandfather-”
“She realized her mistake! Spare her!”
Russell snorted, “Your words don’t count.”
He was about to reach out to open the door, but suddenly he heard a loud noise, and the door was kicked open from the outside.
It collapsed in front of him.
Everyone inside was startled.
Quentin, exuding a murderous aura, strode in, treading on the broken door.
Russell roared, “How dare you trespass into my Pittman family, Quentin?”
Quentin slapped him, sending him reeling and screaming before falling to the ground.
“Old man, get lost-”
He took a big step forward, his sharp gaze sweeping over the others, then glancing at Rashad, he said coldly, “A man should kneel only to those worthy of it. They are not worthy! Get up!”
Quentin’s low command, inexplicably carrying a sense of authority, shook Rashad to the core, and he hurriedly got up.
Quentin strode purposefully toward the bed, “I’m taking her with me.”
“You’re dreaming!”
“Quentin, what do you think you’re doing!”
The others immediately stepped in to stop him, and Nikolas even took a defensive stance in front of Quentin, ready to attack at any moment.
Quentin lifted his foot.
With a cry of pain, Nikolas was already under Quentin’s foot, his chest crushed under the pressure, unable to catch his breath…
The whole place fell into dead silence.
Quentin surveyed the people around, “Who else wants to stop me?”
