One of them was the owner of the shop they just entered. “You’re Arien Jenner, right?” She came out and interrupted the tense behaviour.
“Ahh.. yes…” She didn’t expect her to be here. She was a famous designer.
“You made a bridal gown for my daughter on her wedding half a year back. You must’ve forgotten already but I remember” the lady spoke.
“Miss Katie, right?” Arien never would forget anyone she meets.
“Oh… you remember!” It was already more than half a year, but Arien still remember. The lady was still surprised.
“Are you the famous designer, Katie. How do you know her?” Susan interrupted from behind.
“Oh we’ve known each other. She designed the best gown for my daughter on her wedding.” Katie explained. “And you?”
“I.. am the model, from New York, Susan Hayes” Susan was stunned to hear that Katie doesn’t know her. “How can someone not recognise me?” She thought.
Haha!! Isn’t this a bit funny?!!! Maybe you are famous in New York but… Not here Miss Hayes!!
“Maybe I’ve seen you, Miss Hayes.” The lady didn’t want Susan to be disheartened.
Anyway, at least here we know who’s superior, here, right?
“Miss Hayes, the dress you’re holding, is it for yourself?” Katie asked.
Susan smiled and replied, “Yes, isn’t it a great choice?” Susan was confident at her fashion sense.
“That… Won’t look good at you. The design wouldn’t be a problem but the colour is…” The lady stopped half way through thinking that it might not be good to say anything negative.
“The colour is dull. According to your skin tone, a little more brighter colours would suit you, Miss Hayes.” Arien completed the sentence without any mercy.
Susan was angry because according to her she was insulted in front of the famous designer. But she gritted her teeth and accepted. She knew it won’t be good for her to retort right now.
She smiled and spoke politely, “Miss Jenner, you’re correct, I was just thinking that.” Susan had to keep her face in front of Katie.
“Hmph! She was mad at the assistant just now because if this!” Julien pouted and whispered to Arien.
“It’s okay sister” Arien smiled at Julien’s act.
“Katie, why did you open a shop when you could’ve followed your dream career as the designer.
“No no!” Katie waved her hand. “I didn’t wanted to join a cruel industry of fashion and designing. I’m tired of it. Even now I’m happy with all the fame I have since two years, no more.” She added.
“So you’re just going to design and sell your dresses in here?” Arien asked.
“Oh these. Yes, I suppose, my plan is what you said.” Katie smiled. “If you’d have any suggestions for me you’re heartily welcomed here, Miss Jenner.” She added.
“Me? I should say that I would come here to take your suggestions, Katie” Arien spoke.
“Let’s buy and have something to eat” Julien spoke interrupting.
“You’re too polite.” Katie waved a good bye. “Have a great day.”
Arien nodded with agreement. They didn’t have breakfast, so naturally they were hungry. They bid their goodbyes to Katie and walked out of the shop.
After coming out of the shop, they decided to walk rather than just driving.
Walking for a little while, Susan was already exhausted, “Can’t we take the car already?”
“You’re already tired Susan? We haven’t even walked for 5 minutes!” Julien laughed.
Susan just stomped her foot and kept walking.
After a while Arien turned around abruptly.
“What’s the matter?” Julien saw her expression and asked.
“Uhh.. nothing. Let’s keep walking” Arien said.
They kept walking forward and reached near the marketplace, but after a while Arien again felt something and turned around.
She saw two heavy build man following them. She has noticed them earlier but never thought that they would follow them even to the market where there were so many people.
They noticed something and walked towards them with long strides.
“Miss, you’ll have to come with us.” The man said and indicated towards a direction.
Arien and others looked towards the direction only to see three more men.
Then the men pointed towards his pocket. There was a gun inside. “There are more men around here. If you don’t follow our command, we won’t waste a minute in killing you.”
Susan spoke up with trembling voice, “You won’t dare kill us if you’ll know who I’m am! I’m the….”
“Sister is having a stomach ache, you won’t mind if she goes to the washroom.” Arien intruded pressing Julien’s arm a little. “Miss Susan can go help her. I’ll stay with you for your confirmation that they won’t run away.”
Susan was in a confusion but she didn’t want to be the victim so she acted along to go away from these men.
“Ahh… It’s hurts” Julien understood and acted along. Right now at least one of them should be able to get away and inform someone so that they would be saved.
The two men gave each other glances and agreed holding Arien’s arm.
Just as the men agreed, Susan helped Julien walk away to the washroom that was not very far from the place. Julien turned around a couple of times, she didn’t want to leave Arien alone with them but she would have to do this so that she could seek help.
Inside the washroom, Susan started panicking. But Julien held her hand. “We can’t act recklessly and run away, they may do something to Arien if we won’t show up again. I’ll give a call to Devian and then we’ll head back.”
“Head back! Why do you want to risk your life for that girl, sister, let’s go back…” Susan was interrupted by a slap on her face.
“You can go, I won’t leave Arien alone” Julien’s anger rose. How can this girl think like that, even if Julien wouldn’t have known Arien, she would have helped her. And now she was her brothers wife. How can she leave her alone.
Julien understood Arien very well when she said that she would stay their. She wanted them to go and get help. Julien decided to stay there a little longer. She quickly took out her phone and dialed Devian’s number.
