Arien came out wearing a pretty outfit that Devian had passed her. But her face still looked pale because of crying.
He was about to say something when Arien’s phone rang.
“Answer it. I’ll talk” he said.
Arien picked up the call as said and put it on speaker. “May I know who this person is” Devian spoke.
Maybe it was because the other person heard a man’s voice in Arien’s phone that he quickly asked “Who are you?……..” And then suddenly stopped.
“This voice…” Arien felt a little weird.
And the call was disconnected.
They tried to call back but what they heard every time was the mechanical sound saying the number is not available.
After trying for a while she left the hope.
“Sigh…” Arien took a deep breath.”Devian… Let’s go back”
“We’re not going back. We’ll stay here for some days.” He said.
But Arien didn’t want this. “I will go back. You stay here alone.” Arien got up.
But was pulled back by him. “You’re not going.”
“But….” Arien hoped that she would have a family and Devian’s family treated her so well. But this man!
“I said no!” Devian spoke sternly.
“And what rights do you have to keep me like this?” Arien was surprised.
“Rights? I’m your husband!” He said. “Or do you want to run away with that man?” He added raising his eyebrows.
“Huh!” As expected “he doesn’t believe me. He still think me as such a women!” She thought.
“We’re staying here” he said again.
“Hmm..” Arien didn’t want to talk to him. “You can leave. I want some rest.”
“Okay. Wait for me in the evening.” he still had to go to the company to deal with the affairs even if he wanted to stay with her.
After he left Arien picked up her phone and dialed the number again but heard the same mechanical voice.
She kept the phone aside. “Hmph…. Why did the man sounded so much like him? It really can’t be him but why do I still feel that I could have some hope?”
Arien got up, packed up her things and left. Reaching outside the house she took a deep breath before knocking at the door.
“Sister? Glad to have you here. Come on in.” Nicole pulled Arien inside.
“Arien… Come, sit you’re at such a correct time. We were going to have breakfast. Sit and eat with us.” Robert voice was filled with joy.
“No need to bother uncle. You can have your breakfast I won’t…..” Arien didn’t want them to be bothered because of her.
But she was pulled and forced to eat with them. “If you won’t eat sis, I’ll be mad at you.”
Nicole was so different in the Blooms but now… She’s totally a different person. Maybe her perspective of looking at Arien has changed.
Earlier it was the hatred that prevailed in Nicole’s heart which made her do that but not now. She accepted and even apologized for what she did to her.
They had meal together. Arien felt happy that she found her uncle and even met her sister.
After the meal Arien wanted to ask them some things. She had to find about the call. Since it was also form the place where Robert was kept maybe he would know something. With that hope Arien wanted to talk to him.
“Tell us Arien, what do you want to talk about to dad?” Nicole asked.
“Sister, uncle. I wanted to know more about Roger Willis. Since he’s your brother you might know him well right?” Arien asked.
“Actually Arien, even if he’s my brother were not close. You know that I’ve been living with your dad and grandpa. It was all plot of him. He just treated me as a tool to get the Jenner assets. He planned everything very early and coincidentally I managed to be adopted by your grandfather while he stayed in the orphanage.
I never knew that he would be what he’s now. He somehow found about my whereabouts and came to find me. He wanted me to be his partner and….” Robert stopped.
“And what uncle?” Arien was eagerly waiting to know further.
“I’ve told everything to Mr Lyle. You can go and ask him.” Robert waved his hand and got up.
“What you’ve already told him? When? Uncle…?” Arien wanted to follow him but was pulled back by Nicole.
“I’ll tell you sis” she said. “Even if I don’t know much about Roger. I at least know some things.”
“Doesn’t matter sister. It’ll be a great help even if you tell me a little bit.” Arien sat back.
“Actually dad is feeling guilty for everything that happened to your parents. Uncle and aunt… He actually agreed to accompany Rogers in doing those things so he doesn’t want to discuss about it.” Nicole said.
“Ohh.. uncle…!” Arien felt sad for him. It wasn’t his fault. “Only Roger is to be blamed for this.” Arien really wanted to stab that man to death.
“Have you ever visited uncle when Roger kept him?” Arien asked.
Nicole lowered her head and nodded. “No… He didn’t let me meet him. I never met him personally until you bought him to me. He only let me see him and didn’t allow me to talk to him. Maybe he was scared that I’ll know the truth and expose him.”
“So you’ve never been to the place where he kept uncle?” She asked again.
“No Arien” Nicole confirmed. “I’ve never been to that place. Why would he take me to that place. And…. Why do you ask about the place now that dad has been rescued?”
“That’s….” Arien thought that it would be inconvenient for her to say it now about her doubts of him being alive “… out of curiosity.”
“Oh… okay” Nicole felt a bit weird.
“Oh… Yes… How did you meet Devian?” Arien spoke intending to change the topic.
“Mr Lyle… Ummm….” Nicole hesitated for a moment.
