Damon POV
The smile on my lips disappeared when Erelah came out of the room, I looked coldly at the woman who introduced herself as my lawyer.
“Mr. Hussein, can you please tell me what happened.” She said and sat down in front of me where Erelah was sitting before, I just stared at her then took a deep breath.
“Are you here to set me free?” I asked, I saw the frown on her forehead.
“Yes of course, what do you expect me to do?” she asked.
“I expect you to get out of this room because I don’t need a goddamn lawyer,” I said bluntly so her lips felt pity.
“Excuse me?” she asked. I just stared at her then leaned back in my chair. “Your friend paid me to handle your case,” she said offended.
“Then return the money and leave the fuck out of me,” I said coldly then looked into her eyes. “As I said, I don’t need a lawyer,” I said coldly. She took a deep breath and restrained herself from being annoyed by what I said.
“I’m sorry but your friend paid me double because he knows this is the outcome,” she said seriously so I was beaten.
“Based on what I’ve heard from the officers outside, you try to murder someone in public and cause public violation and chaos, also–”
“I want to be imprisoned so ?” I interrupted what she was going to say, she just looked at me and then took a deep breath.
“Committing homicide had the penalty of life imprisonment or death penalty since the death penalty is already legal in our country. Committing a public violation had the penalty of 6 months to 2 years imprisonment. But–”
“Then good, I’ll choose the death penalty.” I cut her off, she just stared and then continued to talk.
“But since you have a mental condition which is Multiple personality disorder we can win the case and acquit you against the cases that are pending with you today.” She continued, I just closed my eyes while she continued to speak.
“Your friend told me that the host in your body is a psycho while you are different from the one alter named Achaz and the Host named Chai. We can win the case if you we’re normally acting like you are the host of the body, we can hire a psychiatrist to monitor your other alter and also your host– ”
“I want to hire a psychiatrist to heal me, to get rid of Chai’s insanity, and not to monitor Chai and Achaz’s actions,” I said coldly then looked coldly at her.
“I’m just doing my job here as your lawyer Mr. Hussein. Don’t make it difficult for both of us,” she said coldly so I just shook.
“You can get out of this room and bring Erelah back here,” I said.
“You a pain in the ass huh, I’m a professional lawyer, I’ve been working as a private lawyer for almost five years, and–”
“And I don’t care Ms. Professional lawyer.” I then took a deep breath. I pointed to the door while looking seriously into his eyes. “Please tell my friend, if he wants me to be free then I need a psychiatrist lawyer, not a professional private lawyer who sees the cleavage and tries hard to speak English.”
She raised an eyebrow and then stood up.
“What else can I expect from a madman like you?” Irritated she said, then took her belongings and walked out the door, I just followed her with my gaze and then turned around and closed my eyes.
A few minutes later I felt the door of the investigating room open again so I opened my eyes and then looked at the door. A smile immediately drew to my lips when I saw Erelah peeking there.
“W-what, I just peeked at you because I saw your lawyer come out.” She said nervously so I laughed even more.
“Join me here,” I said so she was surprised causing me to laugh even more.
“J-join?” She asked, I nodded in response so she slowly entered the door and then sat in front of me.
“W-what I-I’m just curious, why did your lawyer leave? She’s obviously angry too.” She said so I laughed.
“She’s a professional private lawyer so that’s why,” I said, her forehead wrinkled so I laughed even more.
“Oh eh what if she’s a professional private lawyer?” she asked.
“I don’t know, she’s proud of it,” I said the reason for her to laugh.
“Really? she’s crazy, isn’t she,” she said.
“Hmm, I’m the one she said was crazy,” I said so she stood up and I could see the annoyance in her eyes so I kind of laughed.
“What? she told you that you’re crazy? she’s crazy,” she said angrily then snapped her fingers. “Do you want me to fight her?” she asked so I laughed. “I shoot professional private lawyers,” she added so I laughed even more.
“What? Don’t laugh, I’m not making you laugh, I’m serious about fighting her. I’m hitting on people like her.” she said so my face immediately became serious and I looked at her.
“I also shoot at people like you,” I said seriously so she stopped what she was doing and looked at me. I don’t know if she understand what I said or if she understood differently, she immediately sat down in front of me and then bowed.
“O-oi, just a joke.” she was afraid to say so I was just shaken inside me, she understood differently. I just laughed and then shook my head while looking at her, later on, the smile suddenly disappeared from my lips when I realized that this woman was already making me smile. I shouldn’t be smiling, why is she making me smile?
“O-oi are you okay?” she asked me, I just looked at her coldly and then closed my eyes.
“Luh, why did your aura suddenly get serious?” she asked, I didn’t answer her instead I just kept my eyes closed.
“Anyways, do you want to find a new lawyer?” she asked so I opened my eyes. she smiled at me. “Looks like your professional private lawyer won’t be coming back, do you want a psychiatrist lawyer to find you?” she asked so I stared at her even more.
“I think that will help you, I think that the psychiatrist will study you about your illness so that when you are in court, you have strong evidence that you have Multiple Personality Disorder so that your case will be reduced a bit. . ” she said so I smiled.
“Mr. Hussein.” Erelah and I looked at the door of someone who called my last name, two policemen were now standing there.
“We’re going to take you to mental.” He said so Erelah looked at me while looking at the two policemen.
“Huh? Just wait, you’re mistaken, why would you take Damon in mental, he’s not crazy.” Erelah said, the two cops just looked at her so Erelah looked at me.
“Hey Damon, it’s wrong for them to take you to mental, then didn’t Gazer say you can–”
“Erelah.” I seriously called her name, she looked at me with a streak of tears. I smiled at her and then stood up, her gaze remained on me.
“Find me a lawyer.” Smiling I said, I can see how her tears dripped,
“B-but Damon–”
“You’re going to find someone you think can set me free.” I smiled and said then looked at the two cops.
“Damon …” Erelah called softly, I signaled to the two policemen to pick me up so they immediately approached me, I walked coldly behind Erelah when she suddenly spoke.
“Damon, promise me you’ll get out of jail you’ll be free.” I stopped at what she said then smiled. “Promise me that Damon.” I didn’t answer but I turned to her and smiled. A true smile and to anyone I have never shown.
