Charlotte remained silent, feeling a bit unhappy inside, but to save Quentin’s face, she didn’t express it publicly.
She didn’t know how much money the Holland family had left for Quentin.
But, it shouldn’t be spent like this.
“Now, this car belongs to us. Can we drive it away directly?”
“Mr. Holland, we already have temporary license plates ready, and the transfer procedures have been completed. You can drive away anytime,” Isabel explained to him, suppressing the shock in her heart.
“Good.”
“Charlotte, why don’t you try the car?”
Charlotte hesitantly sat in the driver’s seat. The feeling of the luxury car was indeed different; the comfort was incomparable.
She pressed the accelerator.
“Vroom-” A booming sound echoed in everyone’s ears like a subwoofer.
“Not bad.” After test driving it, Charlotte smiled, “The performance is excellent.”
Quentin nodded, “That’s good. The formalities are done. Let’s go.”
“Quentin, wait,” Kelly suddenly caught up, looking shy.
“Actually…”
After not seeing each other for years, I still have feelings for you. I think we’re still a perfect match, just like before…
“I’ve never forgotten you all these years. How about giving me a chance?”
“Oh?”
“I’m just a poor guy, how can I match you?” Quentin smiled playfully.
“I’m sorry, I spoke out of turn just now, but actually… I said those things to stimulate your fighting spirit,” Kelly humbly apologized, pleadingly, “Forgive me, will you?”
“You never stood a chance with me.”
Quentin turned and walked away. How could he be attracted to such a materialistic woman?
Kelly wanted to say something else, but Eileen pushed her aside, “Get out of the way, my husband wouldn’t look at someone like you, a fickle woman!”
Kelly was pushed back several steps and ended up sitting on the ground.
“Sir, please get in the car,” Eileen bent down and opened the car door.
Quentin didn’t even glance at Kelly, just got into the car.
The car started.
The two luxury cars drove away and disappeared from outside the boutique in an instant…
“I didn’t expect Quentin would still be so wealthy after the Holland family went bankrupt. If I could get even a little from him, how many years of struggle would I save? It’s infuriating!” Kelly regretted deeply.
How wealthy must he be to spend millions randomly?
Now, not only couldn’t she climb up to Quentin, but she also offended him!
Little did she know, Quentin had never considered her worth a second glance, from then till now…
The people around her looked at her with disdain, but they also knew Kelly’s materialistic nature, so they weren’t surprised.
For money, what did dignity matter?
Half an hour later, a brand-new Maybach and a flashy red Cayenne parked outside the residential building where Charlotte’s family lived.
Several people got out of the car, and Charlotte came out from inside, looking serious. “Quentin, come here, I have something to tell you.”
“What is it?”
“Don’t you think you’re too extravagant? You spent so much money in buying cars. I don’t want you to squander the money your parents left you.”
“I hope you can use it for your career, to make a comeback. This car is too valuable, I really can’t accept it.”
She placed the key in Quentin’s hand. “You should sell it, it’s worth over two million, you can do a lot with that money.”
Upon hearing her words, Quentin felt a warmth in his heart. Charlotte always thought about his future.
He smiled bitterly, “Charlotte, this car isn’t really expensive to me…”
Charlotte cut him off, “Stop it! Do you understand money will be used up no matter how much you own?”
“I…”
Quentin pondered for a moment, he could only say something pleasant to her, “Alright, I’ll do as you say. I’ll go back and see if anyone wants to take over this car.”
“But… a used car will definitely depreciate. Since it hasn’t been sold yet, you should use it for now. I’ll let you know when someone wants to buy it.”
He placed the key in Charlotte’s palm. “Leaving it idle won’t do any good, right?”
“Well…” Charlotte thought about it, and what Quentin said made sense. Since they had already bought it, it made sense to use it temporarily until it was sold.
“Let’s go upstairs first.” The two were about to head upstairs.
But then came a sudden screeching of brakes from behind.
A Mercedes stopped outside the residential building.
“Charlotte, oh, what a coincidence? I was just about to come up and find you.”
Behind them, a middle-aged woman dressed in a flamboyant manner got out of the Mercedes.
Seeing this person, Charlotte forced a awkward smile. “Ms. Wilder, long time no see.”
This woman was her landlord, Aleena Wilder, but Charlotte loathed her.
