Quentin smiled calmly.
“No big deal, bring me there tomorrow, and I’ll make them see eye to eye with you.”
“Come on, you can handle a few guys in a fight, but they have ten big burly men on the other side. How can you possibly match up?”
“I said I’ll handle it for you, and I will. When have I ever deceived you?”
Quentin remained composed.
Rashad found it amusing and nodded, “Okay! Since you insist so much, I’ll let you give it a try. But remember, if you get beaten up, don’t blame me.”
After that, Quentin stayed for a meal and then left.
Emma went to take care of Emery today, so when Quentin returned, she hadn’t come back yet.
On the way, Quentin made a phone call to Eileen, “Check the background of Sloburg Kindergarten. I want all the information within today.”
…
In the evening, Quentin sat on the sofa, lit a cigarette, and looked through the information on Sloburg Kindergarten, nodding slightly.
“Not bad.”
“It’s already the best kindergarten in town and barely worthy of Theo and Janessa.”
“Eileen, arrange a meeting between me and the person behind it.” Quentin closed the information.
“Yes!” Eileen paused for a moment and said, “Sir, three days from now is the grand opening ceremony of Stresall’s newly developed super mall, called the Night City, which costs billions.”
“Lord Zaid and General Chad from Stresall have called several times, inviting you to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony.”
“I’m not going.”
He barely had enough time to spend with his wife and children, why would he do such a boring thing?
“The top four richest families will also be attending,” Eileen added.
“Well, I’ll go and join in the festivities,” Quentin’s aura turned cold for a moment. “It’s been a while since I’ve seen them.”
“Take advantage of the opportunity to deal with some of them properly!”
Eileen nodded, “I will inform them.”
The next day, following Rashad’s instructions, Quentin arrived at the restaurant where he was located.
The restaurant was nicely decorated. Prices were reasonable. The location was decent.
But business was extremely slow.
Quentin frowned and walked in with his hands behind his back, “Why is business so slow here?”
“You actually came?” Rashad looked surprised and glanced up. “There’s trouble every day, who dares to come? Since opening, I’ve already lost around 200 to 300 thousand.”
Even the few customers sitting there were all new and unaware.
“With me here today, I promise they won’t dare to come again.” Quentin smiled, his eyes narrowed, revealing a sharpness.
“These troublemakers just want some protection money. If worse comes to worst, I’ll give it to them,” Rashad said reluctantly.
“No need. I’ll wait for them here.”
“This street is their territory, we can’t beat them in their game.”
Quentin smiled and remained silent.
“They’re here!”
A group of tough-looking thugs pushed open the door with a menacing attitude and swaggered towards them.
“Brat! Have you prepared the protection money? My patience is limited!”
“Not paying the protection money? Well, I guess you can say goodbye to this place.”
Seven or eight thugs smirked, staring directly at Rashad!
Rashad’s face turned grim.
“What the fuck! I’m talking to you!” Seeing Rashad’s silence, the head thug reached out and tried to grab his hair, wanting to pull him over!
However, at that moment, Quentin’s eyes slightly narrowed, his hand made a slight move, and a fork viciously pierced through the thug’s palm!
“Ah!”
He let out a scream of agony.
“Kneel!”
With a light kick!
The thug’s knee made a light cracking sound as it hit the ground hard!
Quentin sat calmly on the stool, his body never moved, slowly took out a cigarette, lit it…
“That’s all you’ve got? You dare to come out and collect protection money?”
