“What?” Everyone was stunned for a moment.
“The Spicurity Group is obviously not happy with our approach.”
“They’ve made it clear that Mr. Wilson chose to collaborate with us primarily because of Charlotte’s talent. Otherwise, why would he work with us?”
“Charlotte was kicked out, and the Spicurity Group feels deceived… That’s the crux of the matter. Now, our top priority is to pacify her.”
“But…” Nikolas and the others looked embarrassed. “We just sent her away, and now we have to bring her back? We can’t swallow our pride.”
Russell immediately ordered, “Nikolas, you go! Bring Charlotte back!”
“What?”
“If you won’t go, do you want me to go?” Russell’s voice turned cold.
“Fine.” Nikolas felt reluctance.
Did Charlotte, that troublemaker, deserve to make him grovel?
But now, with the Pittman family in dire straits, he had no choice but to compromise.
He called Charlotte, only to be hung up on the spot. The second and third calls were also hung up, leaving him grinding his teeth in anger.
“Does she really think she’s something special?”
“I’ll call!” Georgia gritted her teeth. “Let’s see if she dares not to answer.”
But she also failed to get through. This infuriated them to the point of stomping their feet.
“Never mind, tomorrow you two will go and apologize in person,” Russell said indifferently.
This made the two of them grimace as if they had eaten something really foul.
But there was no other way.
The next day, at Charlotte’s rental house, Quentin had arrived early.
Emma and the others didn’t welcome him at all.
“Yesterday, Nikolas and his sister called me several times, and I hung up on them all,” Charlotte said, controlling her anger.
“If they dare to come here, I’ll slap them right away,” Emma spoke up for her daughter. “Old Mr. Pittman is too biased!”
“They’ve gone too far.” Rashad clenched his fists in anger. “Previously, it was Nikolas who had me borrow usurious loan from Roberto. Now, thinking about it, he did have ill intentions.”
Quentin spoke in a calm tone, “Don’t worry, their call indicates that they are in a hurry. I heard from a reliable source that the Spicurity Group canceled their collaboration with them. They also intend to take them to court. They’re as frantic as ants on a hot pan.”
“The Spicurity Group chose you for your abilities, but the Pittman family kicked you out after you signed the contract with the Spicurity Group, so of course, the Spicurity Group thinks they are fooled.”
“Is that so?” Charlotte listened with confusion.
Suddenly, there was a knocking on the door. “Charlotte, come out, come out!”
Georgia’s nauseating voice could be heard from outside.
“Quick, open the door for me!”
Charlotte wanted to open the door, but Quentin held her back. “Don’t move. Today, I will teach them a lesson.”
With that, he walked straight to the front door, opened it, and stood in the doorway.
“Get lost! Don’t disturb Charlotte’s peace.”
“Quentin? You’re nothing but trash! Get out of the way!”
Nikolas tried to push Quentin, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t move him. Quentin reached out and twisted his wrist.
“Ah!” A scream came out…
Nikolas’s face twisted in pain as his hand was forced behind his back, and he was forced to kneel halfway to the ground, looking extremely disheveled.
“You… you… you’re outrageous! Do you know the consequences of doing this?” Georgia scolded. “Charlotte, you come out immediately!”
“Otherwise… by that time, even if you kneel and beg us, your whole family will never be able to return.”
Hearing Georgia’s words, the people inside the house paled.
However, Quentin’s face turned cold. “Fine, since that’s how it is! Then I’ll make you kneel and beg her back!”
With a loud slam, he closed the door heavily.
Nikolas and his sister looked bewildered, could only grind their teeth in anger.
