TESSA’S POV
I did not know how the hell I got into this situation…
I just found myself breathing in and out heavily on the bed. A man was touching my bare skin, which made me feel hot all over. My toenails curled as his hands gently caressed that very spot between my thighs, and all I could do was moan, craving more.
Who was this man?
What was it that he was making me feel?
“Tell me, my mate,” he said. His voice was so familiar. That deep, dangerous voice… “Do you like it when I touch you here?”
His fingertips travelled down my knees, and then went back along my inner thighs, as if he knew how to tease me; to torture me. Every stroke of his hand made me whimper. I could feel my gut aching with every movement of his fingertips; every second that passed, I was struggling to breathe.
“Open your eyes, Tess…” His voice was very soothing… hypnotizing…
I gasped, and nodded my head afterward. When my eyes slowly opened, I saw Atlas, who was on top of me, wearing his famous smile that could sweep every girl’s feet. My heart skipped a beat as our gazes met, until a special feeling enveloped my chest. It was like some sort of a connection-a desire that was building within me.
“Answer me. Do you like it?” he asked; his eyes were ablaze with temptation.
I let out a soft cry when I felt his fingers touch my most sensitive part, moving in a rhythmic way that added to the sensation that seemed like wanting to kill me.
“A-Atlas…” I cried. “I… I want…”
“Hmm, yes?” he chuckled seductively.
I whimpered as I felt his fingers rubbing my folds. “I… I want-”
My eyes blinked awake as I heard the loud thud of the door that had just closed. Panting, I instantly felt the beads of sweat which had formed on my forehead.
“What the hell…” I swallowed hard, trying my best to process that particular dream I had.
I sat upright and palmed my face. I could feel my cheeks flushing in shame, realizing that I had just had a wet dream, and the werewolf pleasing me in that dream was none other than the future Alpha.
I never had a wet dream in my whole teenage life until now. It was the first time, and it felt… real. I shut my eyes, trying to forget the unfamiliar yet magical feeling of being touched. I was not supposed to feel the pleasure… not when it was Atlas who was with me in that dream!
“Shit…” I cursed as I could not erase that dream from my mind.
I ran into the bathroom and washed my face, at the same time trying to steady my breath. The earthy and fresh forest scent lingered in my nostrils, and as I looked through the window, I realized that the sun was already up.
The house was quiet when I went out of my bedroom. It appeared that my vampire guardians went out to work. Breakfast was already served, with a note saying that I should take a break from school and that they would be back in the afternoon.
I sighed, feeling my head a bit light. It was odd that I could still feel the heat all over my body. When I touched my neck to check on my temperature, I knew it wasn’t normal. My mouth and throat felt so dry as well.
Could it be that what happened last night made me sick?
In the end, I ignored my mild fever and went ahead with my breakfast. I honestly did not have any appetite, but my aunt would be sad if she came back and saw the food she cooked untouched. I was about to grab a glass to pour a milk on it when I felt a sudden shift in the air, making me stand up and turn to the main door.
Whenever my vampire guardians came home, I would know by judging the shift in the air and their faint vampire scent mixing in the forest breeze. But now it was different.
The shift in the air was oddly making me shiver… and the scent of someone wasn’t the same as my guardian vampires, not even from Atlas, or anyone I knew.
The scent smelled like danger.
The clacking sound of the utensils from the kitchen made me alert. I looked at it and noticed that there seemed to be an invisible great force messing up with me. The utensils moved as if there was an earthquake. Seconds later, the sharp knife floated in the air, turned around and pointing in my direction.
My chest suddenly tightened at what I was seeing, and I struggled to breathe.
I could only scream in fear when the knife moved to attack me. Luckily, I was fast enough to dodge it and ran towards the main door and exited the house right away. Adrenaline rushed through me and all I thought about was saving my life. Despite being unwell, I ran as fast as I could, afraid that the knife would follow and kill me.
My feet tripped on the giant root of a tree, and I whimpered in pain the moment I fell to the ground. You have to stand up, Tessa. You’re like, in danger!
With that in mind, I forced myself to stand up and was about to run again when I saw a creature standing behind the tree, wearing a black cape and staring over at me. Anxiety went through me as all I could see was its eyes… those eyes that looked at me with fury.
“W-Who are you?” I managed to ask despite the loud beating of my heart.
But the creature did not speak. Instead, one snap of his hand and a rock floated in the air. I was so panicked that I immediately sprinted, screaming for help and crying. I thought I was able to run far away from that creature, but when I felt something hard being thrown on my head, my vision went blurry and the next thing I saw was darkness.
“Tessa!”
“Tessa! Wake up!”
The familiar voices of my aunt and uncle had forced me to open my eyes, and when I did, I coughed some water out of my mouth. My head was fuzzy, blinking my eyes slowly to adjust my vision. I just found myself in the arm of my uncle, while Aunt Alice was on my other side and looking at me with such worry in her face.
“W-What happened?” I asked faintly, and then whimpered when I felt the pain in my head. My hand automatically reached for it, and felt the wet of blood streaming from it.
“Oh my goodness, Tessa…” Aunt Alice panicked. “We’ve been looking for you anywhere. Why did you… why did you jump off the cliff? We almost lost you!”
“W-What?” My eyes widened as I tried to sit up, and I only realized that my entire clothes were wet. “I… I didn’t…”
That’s when the memory started to replay in my mind…
That creature who was wearing a black cape tried to kill me…
“Aunt Alice,” I called out nervously. “S-Someone tried to kill me.”
Both of them gasped. My tears streamed down my face as I recalled the fear creeping into my body. That creature was able to catch me, and I passed out soon after.
I groaned as my head continued to throb so much, until the pain was no longer tolerable.
“We need to hurry up and send her to the hospital. My niece is losing a lot of blood!” Those were the last words I understood from Aunt Alice right before I met darkness all over again.
