My lips moved upward when I saw her gawking at Nikolai, “bitch,” my mind screamed. I sat beside Nikolai, he turned to me, “Good morning” he greeted me while looking at me with a smile on his face and completely ignored Jessica.
I smiled at him, “Good morning,” greeted back and turned towards Roman, “Good morning, Roman.”
He turned to me, “Good morning, Venessa” he greeted with a smile on his face.
I turned my head to Jessica who was glaring at me with her hateful eyes, I ignored her gare and smirked at her while taking my plate.
Judy immediately walked with breakfast and severed us all. While I was having my breakfast, I noticed Enzo walking down the stairs and walking towards the dining table.
He was looking so hot with his still wet hair and simple plain black shirt. As he was walking, his hair strands moved to his forehead making him more attractive and sexy.
As he sat down near Roman, Judy immediately served him breakfast. He began digging in, and I was shamelessly staring at him. Sensing my stare, he turned his head towards me and tilted his head sideways while raising his both eyebrows and gazed at me.
This stupid action made him more attractive, I visibly gulped and quickly grabbed the glass of water in front of me and gulped the water down. I placed the glass down and tried hard not to look at him, but was miserably failing at it.
Damn him!
I tried to have my breakfast as fast as I could, I still felt his gaze on me while I was eating the last piece on my plate. I quickly had it as I got up from my chair and walked towards the kitchen. Judy took it from my hands and put it in the dishwasher.
I walked towards Roman who was playing with his toys in the living room. He had his breakfast very quickly and began playing. I sat down next to him, he turned his head to me and smiled.
“Let’s Play!” I said as I pulled him towards me. We both sat down side by side and began talking and playing with his toys, as we began playing time passed away.
I felt someone’s shadow falling on me, I looked up and saw Nikolai watching us with a smile on his face. I smiled at him as he sat down next to us.
“What are you guys playing?!” He asked, looking at Roman, he smiled at Nikolai and said, “We are playing with cars?!” He said showing his cars to Nikolai.
“Oh!” Nikolai said looking at his cars with adoration.
Roman smiled at Nikolai while turning back and began playing with his cars. The thought which I had yesterday rushed into my mind, I looked around and glanced at Nikolai who was pulling the magazine from the table.
After he sat down, I turned towards him, “Nikolai?!” I called him with nervousness evident in my voice.
“Yes?!” He replied, turning to me.
“I… I want to ask you something!” I said rubbing my palms together.
“Ask!” He replied, putting all his attention on me.
I licked my dry lips while looking around and moving a bit closer to him, I looked up at him,
“Yesterday, I talked to Enzo… about the… incident, he said to me that you! Helped your father…Is it true?” I asked, staring at his face when he heard what I said. sadness crossed his face but he quickly covered it.
I watched him as he took a deep breath, “I helped my father? True, but I didn’t know that my father was planning to kill them!” He said, looking down.
I didn’t understand what he said, he helped his father but didn’t know this? Huh?!
“Can you tell me clearly, I’m confused?” I said looking at him with confusion written on my face.
He nodded, “My father called me one day, asking me to send my men to him for a day. I asked why, and he explained to me that one of his mafia business partners was running away with his money, I said okay… And after a few days, Enzo came to my home accusing me of killing his siblings, I tried to tell him that I didn’t kill them but he never let me!” He said.
I can clearly see tears in his eyes, “They’re my brother and sister too… I love them too,” he whispered, It hurt me to see him like this.
All this time I spent with him, I know how he is. The way he is with Roman and the way he looks at Enzo, one can clearly say that he’s not that kind of person to kill his own brother and sister.
“I was shocked to learn that my father… framed me in all this… I was a fool, I didn’t understand my father’s plan, and in the end, he won… Enzo believed that I helped him in killing them, Enzo, my brother… he believed it,” he said, and I noticed his pain and sadness.

Hearing the sudden gunshots, Nikolai grabbed my hand, I stood up and grabbed Roman. Nikolai pulled us towards the backside of the stairs near a big pillar.
We hid beside it, and beside the pillar, there was a big window. Nikolai pulled the window curtains to us covering us. He quickly pulled his gun out from his jeans pockets, I glanced at Roman to see him shaking in fear.

Tears were rolling in Roman’s eyes, I quickly bent down and hugged him. I wiped his tears and tried my best to put a smile on my face, “Roman! No, don’t cry, baby… this is a game dear… you remember! We played hide and seek once?!” He nodded in response, “This is also the same game, we should hide so that they don’t find us…” he looked at me and nodded at me.
“Good boy, now we should win… we should hide and make no noise Okay?” I asked and for that, he nodded his head.

I immediately pulled towards me and hid him, I covered his ears and tried not to make any sound. Gunshots were coming from everywhere and my mind was running with all the questions about Enzo, where’s he? Is Enzo safe? Did something happen to him?
I tried to convince myself that he’s okay, and nothing happened to him but my mind was not agreeing.
