The way her body felt against mine while we were dancing was perfect. Her soft and delicate body made me protective of her, her body was like a flower that needs to be protected from the cruel world.
While we were dancing on stage, she suddenly felt uncomfortable, When she said she was not okay I quickly walked her out. That was the wrong step I took that day, I should have taken her somewhere else then she wouldn’t come face to face with Enzo and saw him clearly made out with his bitch.
I still remember the way tears rolled in her eyes when she saw lipstick marks on his lips. It made me want to break his neck, but I stopped myself from doing that in front of her.
Even though I tried to take her out of there still she walked back to him and slapped him. I felt guilt and regret as she asked him why he didn’t come to take her and why he made promises to her because she shouldn’t ask him that she should ask me all those questions because I was the reason why he didn’t come to her and left her. I was the reason for all their misery.
With so much difficulty I took her from there, and she cried her eyes out. Her sobs and her pain hurt me, it made me feel angry with myself but I convinced myself that what I’m doing is for her own good.
I left her with Penelope and walked to the conference. Suddenly, I saw Enzo standing up and walking out furiously. By the time I walked out, he had been pointing his gun to someone laying on the floor.
After all that happened there, we came to my condo. I wanted to talk to her, explain to her that what she did to make Enzo jealous was a bad move and she shouldn’t do that stunt without thinking about the consequences of that action. I went to her room and one thing led to another and we kissed.
That kiss was one of the best one I had in my life, her lips were so soft and the way they moved against mine made me so hard and yarn for more. But I quickly came to my senses and moved back from her, I realized how much she loves him.
After she had asked me to leave, I walked out and went to my room, I was so angry with myself for doing it. I was pacing back and forth, suddenly my phone started to ring. I quickly answered it, and it was my bodyguard, he said that someone was following and watching me and Venessa in the auction. I asked my men to find who that was and when I knew who they were I released it and it was not safe for Venessa to stay with me. That was when I decided to send her back to him and make everything right.
It was my responsibility now to watch out for her from staying away from her. Enzo can keep her safe but still, I want to make sure she’s alright so I put my men around her. They follow her, watch her, and make sure of her safety.
That night I called Enzo and asked him to come to my condo but that idiot said if I have to work with him then I should come to his place but he won’t come to mine, such an egoistic and narcissistic man. Sometimes he’s very hard to deal with.
I said to him that it’s about Venessa, and he immediately said okay, the next day he came to my condo. Before I could tell him to take Venessa with him, she came to us. I was shocked when he said he moved on. I couldn’t actually believe what he said. Then I realized what a grave mistake I’ve made, my heart clenched as I glanced at Venessa.
I know he didn’t move on, I don’t know who that woman was and why she was with him but I can clearly say that he still loves her and he could never move on because I saw how his eyes were looking at her when Venessa demanded him why he didn’t come to take her. The pain was evident in his eyes.
I opened my mouth to stop him but Venessa yelled at him to stop. What she said after that surprised me, she actually made him shut. That was a rare sight to see because no one can do that, he’s the one who makes people shut and makes them agree to whatever he says. But when she was leaving with him, there was this pain inside that I couldn’t control.
I wanted to stop her and beg her not to leave but I know I can’t do that, I stood there as I watched her leave with Enzo.

“Boss?” I turned my head to see my bodyguard waiting for me as he opened the car door.
I stepped out of the car and walked towards the main door which was open. I walked towards the living room and noticed Roman smiling at me as he was sitting on the couch.
I walked towards him as he stood up and walked to me while I bent down and hugged him.
“Where’s Venessa?” He asked immediately as I released him. I glanced at Penelope and Alan who was looking at me with sadness.
I moved my eyes back to Roman who was looking at me with hopeful eyes and a smile. It broke my heart when his smile dropped as I told him she went back to her home.
“Isn’t this her home?” He asked with tears filled eyes, I didn’t understand how to stop him from crying. I watched him helplessly as he began crying, Penelope immediately took him in her arms and took him upstairs.
As I quietly watched them disappear from my sight I glanced at Dimitri who was running to me from the main door. I quickly caught him as he jumped on me, he licked my face and quickly jumped down. I understand what he was doing as I watched him looking here and there, he’s searching for Venessa.
He looked back at me with his big eyes, as I shook my head and his face fell, He lowered his head and his tail stopped moving. He gave me a last glance and walked away with sadness evident in his body language.
I sighed and walked up to my room and took a shower. I dressed up and began to do my work, but her thoughts didn’t let me concentrate on it. Her smile flashed in front of my eyes whenever I closed my eyes. I miss her, I miss her terribly.
I stood up and walked out of my room, I walked straight to Roman’s room and saw him sleeping peacefully. I strolled towards his bed and laid down next to him. He immediately moved to me and placed his hand on my chest. I moved my hand under his head as I watched him sleep peacefully. I noticed tears on his cheeks. I began cleaning them with my fingers without waking him up.
“I’m sorry for doing this Ro, but this is best for her… To save her, I… we should let her go,” I said, as I cleaned the tear strains.
***Ring***
I immediately turned off the volume and checked Roman, I exhaled as I saw him still sleeping. I glanced at my phone and saw the call was from an unknown number. I answered the call and when I heard the other person’s voice my body froze.
