Chapter 47

***ZANE’S POV***
I was in a fucking mafia meeting when I saw the videos start popping into my phone. I got confused as to why Sinner was sending me videos.
It was unlike him.
“Excuse me, gentlemen,” I excused myself as I stood from the large table we were hosting the meeting.
I made my way to the balcony and started opening the videos. One after the other, I watched how London mouthed Sinner, being excessively rude to him. I frowned as I opened several more of the shorts.
I rang his phone and once he didn’t pick up when I insisted, it showed me he wasn’t available. But that was fucking hours ago. I had my reasons to be frightened, but before I could call, Sinner’s name popped up on the bar as he started calling me.
“Shit! Where is she, Sinner? I asked you to put her on the phone and since then, I haven’t heard a sound from you,” I blurt out.
I strolled farther down the balcony, grazing my hand on the gold railings, letting the smooth metal cool down my brain.
“She put my phone on airplane mode. The little minx, I am just now realizing it,” he explained.
My eyes popped out as realization hit me, London was so going to be sorry when I finished with her.
“Where are you? I am bringing the boys over,” I bark out as I rush into the mafia boardroom.
We had chosen a fashionable warehouse uptown and the room was lavished with drugs. That wasn’t my concern right now, I had a lady on the run I needed to catch and tame.
“I don’t know, boss. She left me at the main side, she said she was just at the corner, visiting a bakery, I guess I shouldn’t have believed her, or worse, let her go,” Sinner says.
The blood in my body was quickly drying up, if I gave London enough freedom to step out today, I expected her to act nicely towards Sinner, given that I was freely giving her the chance to enjoy herself.
Well, she just lost that right now. I will fucking make sure she stays at home until she doesn’t even know what has hit her at the end.
Before I’ve gotten soft with her, I need London to know I am the boss, she has to follow my directions or I will be forced to kill her.
Pheeewww! I hope it doesn’t come to that point because the mere thought of losing her is doing dirty things to my mind.
“I need all the doors of the city shut down now. My woman is out there probably trying to escape and I need every one of you to help me find her,” I say.
There was a group of ten Mafia lords and as their Don, they didn’t hesitate to start digging out their cellphones, calling for the roads to be blocked.
If London is still in town, she wouldn’t have the chance to run, my men would be at every fucking corner trying to get her.
“The main street should be thoroughly searched, who we are looking for is a petite blonde woman with a blue dress. Unless she changed that outfit, I bet she would still have them on,” I say.
I was already outside and Dagger was there waiting for me with Caleb. They saw the anger in my voice and knew something was wrong. Before they could ask, I filled them up with the information causing my blood to boil.
“London is missing around the main street area. She said she was going to the bakery shop. Any bakery shop on Main Street should be searched. I bet she would need more than help walking when I am done with her. She shouldn’t have let and Sinner shouldn’t have fucking left her alone,” I bark out as Dagger opened the door for me. He sits in front of the car with Caleb and they lock gaze. He was riding shotgun.
“What did Sinner say?” Dagger asks his head pulling behind as he stares at me.
Caleb starts the car and pulls towards the Main Street.
“Sinner said she didn’t want a guard dog. I can’t believe London said that to Sinner. I bet she would have running nostrils when she would be apologizing to him. I don’t want any of you to try to intervene with any of these things. I wouldn’t support it,” I warn them clearly.
That should be the mentality, but I just suck in a sigh, looking out the window.
The phone rings about ten minutes later and it is from Pierre. I didn’t know he would be out hunting London down, but it didn’t surprise me.
“Pierre,” I call out.
“We found your lady. She is at a bakery close to the fountain. She is having a snack with someone…” the man said but I know this would be something I don’t want to hear. I still press on.
“Spill out the words, Pierre,” I grind out gritting my teeth.
“She is with the dude we found her with the other morning,” Pierre says.
I hold my breath. Was London cheating on me?
“What the fuck?” I shout out at him.
“Boss. What do we do?” Pierre asks waiting for information from me.
“Lockdown the place, she shouldn’t go out, we are almost there now,” I let out a strangled breath.
London will be the death of me. My men in front of the car chuckle and when I growl like a feral beast, they shut up quickly.
“We’ve never seen you this frantic, Boss. I bet London is as stubborn as it can get,” Caleb says.
“She is a brat, and she is untameable,” I say.
Is that even a thing to say? I wonder.
We arrive at the bakery and my eyes fly to the big shop, I spot London sitting at a side booth at the corner, her boogie boyfriend saying something in her ear, causing her to laugh.
“Get the guns out, guys. I pray I don’t have to shoot that mother fucker in the head,” I blurt out harshly.
