Chapter 25

***ZANE’S POV***
The ride to Aloha district was smooth, Reaper helped a lot with uploading the deals.
A lot of Coke bags that was worth billions of dollars. Rio Monteleo walked up to me, his shit-eating grin his trademark.
“Thanks for trusting me with this load cousin,” he says hitting me on my shoulder blade playfully.
This was the first time I was trusting him with such a huge amount of money, but he was family, and he had proven to be worth it. He will take care of it as much as I would.
“Do not let the cops come snooping at the warehouses if not, that’s a big problem we don’t want now,” I say.
It was now getting to shy four a. m. and I was tired and needed to rest. I thought about London and what she will be doing right now. I hadn’t checked up on her and I should really call Caleb, in case something happened.
‘Yeah, nothing will happen, asshole,’ I chide myself as I distance myself from the warehouse, placing a call to Caleb.
The phone rings for a long time before it goes to his voicemail. I called again and the same thing.
“What the fuck?” I blurted out.
Caleb always answers after the first two rings, if there has been as much as a problem I should be the first to know.
Rio’s men were living already and I sighed in relief, now, I had Reaper waiting for me by the car.
“Have you heard from Caleb?” I ask sitting in the passenger side of the car.
“No, Boss. But Sinner said everything was moving on smoothly around the bar. Your woman even stopped by for a chat and some drinks,” Reaper said, adding that part in a rush.
I looked at Reaper, my eyes widen as he tightens his jaws, realizing what he had just said.
“What the fuck, Reaper? London was at the club and you didn’t think of telling me?” I fire out, heating tearing through my eyes.
“I am sorry boss, but you were busy counting the shipments,” he says, his focus still on the road.
“Call Sinner,” I shout over the blue tooth device.
The phone rings and Sinner’s baritone fills the car.
“Where the fuck is London as I am speaking to you?” I ask angrily.
“Oh, boss. She went out, I guess she will be at home by now,” he says his voice filled with doubt.
I disconnect the call.
“Do you think he was lying?” Reaper asks.
That is a thing, Sinner had answered as if he was hiding half the truth from him.
“If he did lie, he sure as much will be answering to me why he did so,” I back out.
Reaper drives so fast that in about thirty minutes we were pulling into my mansion.
“You want me to leave?” he asks as if knowing that he needs to stick around in case I kill Caleb with my bare hands.
“Stay. You can use the spare bedroom. But do not dare interfere in my business tonight,” I warn sternly.
He nods his strong head as we head to the house.
I do a quick search of the house and the house is empty. Caleb isn’t around, and heading to my bedroom, the door is a jar, I open it and switch on the lights, empty, the bed is deserted.
Anger boils in me as I hear a car pull into the mansion. I rush to my window as I see Caleb driving one of my cars. He opens the door and pulls out a tipsy London.
I notice how carefully Caleb carries her, but she can as much carry herself.
My little reckless girlfriend was back from her night errands. Well, this is going to be a long night because none of them were having any sleep it seems.

***LONDON’S POV***
I have never been to a stripper’s club before and the fact that Zane owns the one I am in right now makes me so happy.
I am dressed in one of the sexy dresses Zane had bought for me earlier. A bright purple gown with spaghetti straps for hands and held my curvy body. It accentuated my petite hourglass shape and I love it.
“Hey, Sinner, this is London, the boss’ woman. London, this is Sinner, he is looking after the club tonight,” Caleb introduces.
I shake hands with him as the big mountain of a man shakes hands with me politely.
He looks scary, but his voice softens when he heard I was Zane’s woman. I don’t even know if that is true, I was his slave, I was paying for the debt I made Micah create with the mafia boss.
Did I correct the men though? No. I just smiled.
“Let me offer you a drink,” Sinner says warmly as he leads the way to the bar.
There are strippers everywhere. And the men seem to be hovering over them, a few ladies were giving men blow jobs and I couldn’t stop staring at it.
Voyeurism was kind of my thing.
Three shots later and I was already feeling tipsy.
“We should go home now, London, Zane will bury me alive if he knows I brought you here in the first place, talk less of letting you have drinks,” he says.
“You don’t have to babysit me, Caleb, besides, this is what I want, it has to do with me and not you. I will face Zane’s wrath for myself and for you,” I promise.
These were light promises, I shouldn’t be making such promises especially after Zane punished me so much for breaking the rules. Well, I might just want his palm on my ass for being naughty then.
When I see the worried look on Caleb’s face, I placate him with my words.
“One hour, we will leave after an hour, promise,” I say.
He nods his head and I jump happily, my heart feeling warm as I relax at the bar, drinking some more.
After the fifth shot, I lost count of what I drank, I danced like a bitch, and I noticed that none of the men came close to me to dance.
Caleb was always a few distance away from me, and Sinner’s muscular strength might have warned them that I was off-limits. Good because I had the best time of my life.
When Sinner’s phone rang, he looked at it and then at me. I felt nauseous on the spot as I knew who was calling.
As he distances himself from the loud music, I follow him. His phone is on loudspeaker when he answer’s the call.
I hear anger tearing through the speaker as Zane’s tone has this no-nonsense air to it.
“Where the fuck is London as I am speaking to you?” Zane’s deep voice asks and I start pleading with my eyes.
I sober up real quick because hearing Zane’s voice means he knows where I am, but how? I don’t know. I haven’t told anyone where I am and only Caleb knows it.
Sinner lies through his teeth when he says I have gone back to the house already.
I couldn’t have been more grateful to Sinner at that moment, I know I owe him and I will forever be indebted to him.
I hear Zane disconnecting the call and Sinner staring at me, as if not believing he just lied to his boss for me.
I seem to have a charm over these men to drag them into my crazy scheme with me.
“Thank you, Sinner, oh my God, Zane will kill me now if he knows I am here. How did he find out?” I ask.
“I told Reaper when you both got here. It was a bad idea, I know, but the boss would have found out sooner one way or the other. Now, little girl, rush home, Zane’s voice didn’t look happy at all,” he says urging me to leave.
I nod quickly as my pulse starts beating so fucking fast. Caleb is beside me as he leads me out calmly.
“This way, London,” he says as he takes me through a private way that leads to the back of the club and the car.
We had borrowed one of Zane’s SUVs and it was super comfortable, I bet he wouldn’t even notice that we had it because we will keep it back before he comes back from wherever trip he went to.
*
We arrive at the house and Caleb’s gasp is inevitable.
“What is it?” I ask as I look at the lights in the house.
It was getting bright now, and I don’t know how. Looking at the car’s dashboard, I gasp as I see the time as well.
5:40 a. m.
“We didn’t stay that much at the club, the sun is just rising early,” I try to convince myself.
“Well, now, let’s hope that isn’t Zane in the house already because I am scared to die,” he says.
I was actually brave before Caleb’s words. I do fear Zane, but I had a lie I was prepared to give in case I had to escape, but Caleb’s panicking state drove me crazy in a stupid way.
“What do we tell Zane?” I ask as Caleb drives all the way to pull up at the spot where he had taken the car.
Other cars are piled up here as well.
“The truth, girl, he will kill you too if you lie to him,” he says.
“Alright, allow this to me. I’ll tell him something convincing, you just have to play along, okay? I swear, it wouldn’t send up down the rabbit hole more than we already are, believe me,” I say, hoping that he believes me.
“Let’s get you inside first,” he says as he opens the door and walks over to my side.
I sway a little, thus, he has to help me out as we walk towards the house.
“Let us go through the kitchen please, I will head to the house immediately. I am sure Zane isn’t at home yet, I will slide up to my room and sleep,” I tell him.
Even though Caleb was convinced that Zane was at home, I talked him out of it real quick. We go through the kitchen door and it is dark.
“My legs hurt, Caleb, and I will really use the bathroom now. Good night and thank you for the night,” I tell him as he closes the door behind him.
“Hold up, London, let me switch on the lights before grabbing you a bottle of water,” sit on at the table will you?” he says as his footsteps falter away from me.
I can’t see what is in front of me so I walk with my hands out until I touch a brick wall at the center of the kitchen. I push my hands up real quick and this brick wall has a face, two eyes, a strong pair of iron nose, and a mouth.
I scream as I jump around thinking that I am being delusional, considering my intake of alcohol at the club.
“Fuck, London, what is it?” Caleb asks as he rushes to switch on the lights.
Light flashes throughout the big kitchen as I notice two men in the room.
The wall I had just touched was actually Zane, and he didn’t look impressed by my little act at all.
Another man I have never met sits on the dining table, his eyes filled with amusement, he doesn’t utter a word.
“Boss!” Caleb says as his hands start shaking.
Fuck it. I have never seen a man so freaking terrified of another man before.
I start shaking as well, so badly. I need to use the bathroom but I don’t think now is the right time.
“My beautiful London, I don’t remember the doctor giving you medical clearing to go out, did he? And before I left the house, I don’t think we settled on you leaving the bedroom, talk less of the house,” he spits out.
I shiver, not from cold, but fear.
“Zz… Oh, Zane,” I murmur.
