Hardwick’s POV
It didn’t take time to reach the pack house. Finally I can meet my mate. I was so disturbed and now I can explain. Because of the work I couldn’t call her nor meet her. She must be angry with me for leaving like that. I hope she is not angry. I said in my mind my but stopped on my track when I saw Luina. I smiled and walked towards her.
“Where is Mistress?” I asked curiously.
“Master” she bowed.
I waved my hand indicating her to stop “where is she? Aren’t you supposed to stay by her side?”
“Master that…” Luina hesitated.
I frowned “what happened?”
“Master, Mistress is not here. She left the pack”
I felt like my world stopped for a moment. She left? But why? She couldn’t leave like that. Though I know she must be mad but the reason is not serious enough for her to leave like this. I gritted my teeth.
“What the fuck happed behind me and why she left?”
“Master, Mistress was all fine and good. She didn’t say anything about leaving. I don’t know why she suddenly urged me to leave. I wanted to stop her but I couldn’t”
“What happened?” I asked through gritted teeth.
“Master, miss Delaney talked with-”
“What did you say?” I frowned. Did I hear right? Delaney? How come Delaney is here? And I was not informed?
“Delaney. She talked with Mistress 2 days ago then Mistress suddenly left in rush”
My fist clenched. Fuck. Delaney, that slut had to come back and ruin me again. That whore, fucking witch. I cursed as I thought about her. What kind of information she pushed to my mate that my mate left suddenly? It’s all because of her again. Looks like I am paying to keep a group of bastards who couldn’t even send me information earlier. Fuck. What am I going to do now?
I marched towards my room but stopped when someone called me from behind.
“Alpha”
My body stiffened as I heard the tone. A kind of urge started to run in my blood while pushing towards the sea of anger. I turned and glanced at the person behind me.
“It’s really you” Delaney walked forward with teary eyes. “I still couldn’t believe it’s really you. It has been so long afte-”
“What the hell are you doing here?” I asked.
Her smile froze as she looked at me “you still didn’t forgive me?”
“Don’t make me repeat my words. What fucking hell you are doing here?”
“Alpha I am here because of you” she made a sad face. “You don’t know how much I beg the elders to let me come here. I came here for you. It has been so long and I was afraid that if I am late you will forget about me so-”
“Forget?” I laughed “your deeds are something that no one can forget you. You really don’t have to worry about that. You have printed your name in my heart where even disgust couldn’t be used to express” I hissed.
“You are still blaming me?” She almost yelled. Her eyes shed tears “it was not my intention. I only wanted to make you happy and we were also young. Why are you still stuck at that point? It has been years yet you still couldn’t forget that incident?” She wiped her tears and said again “I know that mistake is huge but it expresses what we feel for each other. We can understand what we have for each other. Can’t you understand that?”
“Looks like you are still living in your imagination huh?” I smirked “even after years you are still infatuated with your own built imagination?”
Her eyes widened “no it’s not. You know it too. It’s not infatuation, it’s love. You know it from the start that I love you right? Why can’t you see it? Just because you have a mate now?”
“You fucking have the gut to bring her in this conversation” I growled “what the hell did you say to her?”
Delaney straightened her expression “I have said what’s true. Even though she is your mate she needed to know about us. If she could be little generous and try to understand our situation then she could definitely accept it”
I glared at her “there’s no fucking us. Not in the past nor will be in future”
“You can’t say that” she shook her head “I know we were young at that time but now we are matured enough to take decision” suddenly she grabbed my arm “Hardwick please consider my feelings. You know I have loved you for such a long time and we already mated. You have to take me as your wife”
I shoved her hand away and growled angrily making her flinch “get your filthy hands away from me. I fucking hate the fact of being touched by others. And you should know that you have no right to call me by my name. It’s Master for you” I glared at her. She swallowed hard as she looked at me scared.
I turned around and was about to walk when she suddenly shouted “why are you rejecting me? Because of that woman? What does she have that I don’t? She is just a slut who knows how to use her face to seduce you. Mark my words one day she will leave you for another ma- ” before she could complete my hand, grabbed her neck and slammed her on the wall harshly.
“Your gut is really high to talk ill about my mate. You even dared to compare your filthy self with my mate? Since you wanted to know about her so much then let me satisfy you. She has a pure soul and pure heart which made me fall head over heels for her. Something that you don’t have and something that you will never have. If you dared to insult my mate one more time I would wrong your neck then send you to meet the king of hell” I pressed her neck harder making her choke. She started to gado for air but I didn’t leave her. She struggled in my grip trying to remove my hand from her neck. Her face started to pale then it started to become blue.
Gritting my teeth I threw her on the floor “you better refrain yourself from appearing in front of me or the consequences will too bad”
I turned around and let her. Fuck I need to bring my mate back. No matter what.
